Flashback Friday: Bright Spring Dresses.

Happy TGIF everyone! I haven't done a Flashback Friday post in a long while so today I wanted to reflect on some pretty Spring Dresses I have worn in the past, most of which I miss because they are packed away thousands of miles away from here. Today I wanted to focus on Bright Colors so all of my Dresses are Bright and Happy in colors that won't put a damp on your day and will make even the most horrendous April Spring Shower days feel happy and warm. So, let's look down memory lane, shall we?

We will start off with a totally throw-back look. This is from 2007 when I had just cut my hair into a very short bob (and curled it too). I love and adore this hair-style on me and a part of me wants to cut it back like this but I also find it a little high-maintenance. I think it needs the right products to style it daily. But at the same time it would be so easy to color and my gray roots would be covered so quickly. IDK I am torn. Should I or Should I not cut my hair into a bob (similar to gorgeous Amy Ann as you can see)? Anyhow, this deep Purple Dress is short, sparkly and fun. It is the perfect date night look and I love that it is a Mini Style yet has 3/4 Sleeves. As you can see I paired it with Nude Strappy Peep-Toe Pumps and went minimal with the accessories. I have on some Statement Hoops which match the dress perfectly and a Red Gold-Tone Cocktail Ring. I just let the dress make the ultimate statement.

This Shirt-Dress is unique. It is in a Bright Pink, it is fitted, it has short Bell Sleeves and it has a fun satin lapel across the front by the fun silver buttons. I paired it with some Silver Gladiator Sandals and some Colorful Pastel Beaded Crystal Jewels and put baby Vivian in a Matchy Pink Dress and called it a Spring day.

This Bright Orange Dress is in the most comfy light jersey. I love the wrap style and that it has long sleeves. Of course, the color is gorgeous. I paired it with some Brown Faux Suede+Pattern Leather Oxford Wedges and I belted it with a Maroon Rosette Belt.

Now that is one very Colorful Dress. I love the multi-colored Watercolor Stripes and the whole black framing with the black band on the hem, the black straps and especially the black built-in belt with a beautiful satin bow in the middle. Bringing out the red on the dress I wore a Red Cardigan, however I decided to go matchy-matchy with Colorful Striped Sandals.

A Fushcia Knit Dress with a flowy skirt was paired with some Sexy Stilettos, a Fan Purse and topped off with a Denim Blazer for a Dinner Birthday Date Night with my Husband, back in May 2007. I still own this Dress and I need to find those Fun Sandals and wear them soon.

This is such an Easy Dress. The dominating Navy+Gray colors are neutral enough for me to pair the dress with whatever other colorful pieces I want. This time I wore some Lucite Maroon Peep-Toe Rosette Wedges with it, a Matching Blue Crossbody, a Cobalt Bow Belt and a Bold Turquoise Statement Necklace. I think a White Denim Jacket or a Sharp Rose Quartz or Coral Blazer would look fantastic over this simple V-Neck Dress.

Now, this Hot Pink Sheath is in a thick Ponte material but for early to mid Spring is perfect. Plus because it is sleeveless you can layer a Button Down Shirt underneath it, like I did above. And those Turquoise Tassel Flats looked so gorgeous with it. What else I like about this Sheath is that you can dress it up for work or down for a casual mom day. It is not too short so even if you bend over to pick up your little one or something they dropped, you won't flash anyone.

Another Sweater Dress but the light knit and mini style make it great for Spring. It has a ruching detail with a boat neckline. The Royal Blue Color is fun and always a great color for Spring and Summer. I put my hair in a bun and added a little bow on my hair that matched the dress perfectly.

Talk about a Fun, Bright and Bold Shirtdress. This one is zippered in the front and has other fun buckle details and cargo pockets. I love, love its Bright Daffodil Color. This time I added a Hot Pink Watch, a Red Beaded Long Necklace and a Cobalt Belt to it. I decided to do Bright Colors all around.

I actually borrowed this dress from a very stylish friend. We decided to swap a few dresses for a while. I would describe the color of this one between a mustard and an orange. The Kimono Sleeves and Open-Back are both fun and on trend. I paired it with a Red Camisole underneath it. The dress is in a chiffon material. The skirt is double layered but the top only has one layer so I always suggest a nude cami underneath it, or if you want to be bold for a fun, sexy night out wear a fun bra or bralette to show off the back. I paired it with Black Footless Tights and some Camel+Gold Cheetah Pointy Flats for a date night out with my husband.

This is the ultimate Americana Shirtdress (from years ago from Banana Republic). I love it and I loved that I made it more Americana and Athleisure-Inspired by pairing it with some Canvas White Converse. Easy, breezy and put together.

This was my Beautiful Teal Wrap Silky Dress that I wore for my Birthday (to work) 4 years ago and since I lived in a fun, modern, fashion-forward and hot city and worked in a business-casual and fashion-forward environment, I was allowed to wear this dress to work. I paired it with Bright and Colorful Accessories. Those Espadrille Wedges have Rainbow Stripes and I love them. Also, my co-workers surprised me with that gorgeous flower arrangement with beautiful lilies - which are some of my most favorite flowers.

This Cobalt Blue Wrap Dress is timeless and versatile. I can actually see it work season-round but it is perfect for Spring like I wore it a couple of years ago with my Favorite Patent Leather Pumps, a Lariat Silver+Black Beaded Necklace and belted it with a Black Belt. Nothing ground-breaking but still very stylish.

Now this is a Sweater Dress but the fact that it is in a light knit and it is sleeveless, makes it perfect for Spring. I love the Cowl Neckline and that it is almost a bodycon Style in a Midi length. It was still chilly when I wore this so I paired some Patterned Black Tights with the Brown Oxford Wedges (as in the first outfit) but kept things light on top with a Tailored, Classic Khaki Blazer.

Last but not least, here is an Off-shoulder, Asymmetric, Hi-Lo Bright Neon Dress that I styled with a Turquoise Floppy Hat and my Rainbow Espadrille Sandals once again. I added some Neon Bracelets and a Colorful Beaded Necklace.

So, which of these dresses from my closet are your 2-3 favorites? I hope I inspired you all a little today to try or wear a Bright Dress this Spring. Come to think of it, my current closet doesn't have many Bright Dresses - need to change that soon lol. I am craving/thinking to buy a few of these: this red/orange one with lace detail, this drapey purple number with pocketsthis cold-shoulder mint onethis watercolor maxi, this diagonal stripe beauty with kimono sleevesthis blue maxi paisley shirtdress (most definitely my favorite), this flippy bohemian dress - also a favorite, this eyelet coral shiftthis little red dress with bell sleeves or this turquoise work sheath. Which ones should I buy?
