My Baby Story: 22 Weeks.

As you girls know, this week I have been a little on the down side, due to my health. The temperatures were really up this week so that caused my blood pressure to go down several degrees. Which in advance brought headaches, dizziness, fatigue and not enjoying life in general. It sucks. But this little angel that grows in my belly is worth everything. I just feel bad that Fall is nowhere in sight, especially after finding out today that the weather is supposed to be hot, muggy, no rain at all, at about 80-85 degrees for the next two weeks or so.

Mamma is really happy about the little one though and I even bought the cutest article of clothing a couple of days ago. I can't say what it is or describe it since I haven't given the gender yet. This week, I also started applying almond oil to my belly and chest too. It is really good for stretch marks and for one's skin in general. It keeps the skin soft and the skin eats it up, quickly. Also, daddy has been giving me belly kisses every morning before he leaves for work and every night before we go to bed. It's cute and sweet.

How Far Along: 22 weeks.
Baby Size: I only will post these right after an ultra-sound to be 100% sure on the size and measurements of the baby.
Total Weight Gain: 8 lbs.
Maternity Clothes? Not yet, but I need to. My wonderful mom did some shopping for me last week and mailed me all the stuff she got me, this weekend. I should be expecting the new pants, the skirt she got me and the tops, within 7 days or so.
Sleep: Ohhhh yes. I could sleep 8-12 hours a night if I could. This week, most nights I have slept about 6-7 hours tops since I have had a real busy week, however last night I slept about 11-12 hours and woke up at 11 this morning.
Best moment this week: Feeling the baby kick. I have felt a few kicks here and there. Most of them have been light, but the baby has been making his/her presence known, nevertheless. =)
Miss Anything? Yes, food-wise, I miss salmon and sushi but I cannot have it. I also miss true Fall weather. It has been really hot here and I heard at least the first half of October, is expected to be HOT, too. It sucks. 85 degree weather in October is not cool, literally.
Movement: Yes, I have felt several kicks as I said at "Best Moment".
Food Cravings: Same as last week. I crave some fried foods, Mexican, Chinese, Japanese food, sushi and such.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Certain smells, mostly fast-food smells make me a little queasy, as does cigarette smoke, smokes from cars, busses and bed smells that are associated with automobiles, usually. None of them too bad, at the most they will make me dizzy and cause my face to show discomfort (because my nose is sensitive to smells, now). No throwing up because of these smells.
Gender: For now, we know and you will soon, I promise.
Labor Signs: Silly question. Come on, I still have 4 months.
Belly button in or out? In, very in. Looks the same as before.
Wedding rings on or off? On & loose. I wonder why so loose.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Excited about the baby. Happy about the baby. But due to my health this week, I have been moody a little and I have felt sort of upset because of my low-blood pressure, dizziness and headaches.
Looking forward to: Buying the baby's bed. Hopefully we will get to do it, this week. =)

P.S. To see how this whole baby process started, read my long and beautiful love story here. Thanks for reading and have a Great Sunday Evening!!

Gray and Water-Color Floral.

Hi Ladies. Thanks to all of you who have cared enough and wished me to get well. I do feel better today after relaxing and sleeping off until 11.00 AM. I needed it so badly, after my health problems and after working a 14-hour day yesterday. I haven't done much today either. I watched a movie, did some laundry, folded some clothes and now while blogging, I am watching Sunday's Most Popular TV Show for Albanians. It is an interesting show that has a little bit of everything: entertainment, discussions of serious topics, interesting conversations, music, dancing, games, Bingo, etc.

Today's dress (worn this week to work) is one of my favorites in my closet. The main color of the dress is a dark, muted gray but the colors of the printed water-color flowers are indeed bold, light, pretty and airy. I love the pink and sky blue popping out. I also love how the flowers on this dress contrast, because in the front they are on the upper body and in the back they are on the lower body.  Since it has been hot, I needed this French bun. I must say the little pink belt matches the dress perfectly, though the dress did not come with this belt. So do the floral turquoise earrings I wore to bring out the blues in the dress. Due to me being sick, you will notice little pimples on my lips. =(

Wishing you all a FANTASTIC SUNDAY Ahead!!

Lavender Girly.

Hello and Happy Saturday to you girls. Not such a happy Saturday for me. =( I am exhausted, don't feel so well and the bad part about it is that I am pulling a 14-hour day today at work. This week has been hot, however this weekend is hotter. 90 degrees at the very end of September, Yikes!! Like I have repeatedly stated before while blogging, I have gotten sick so much over this summer because of the extreme heat. So when the temperatures increase several degrees, it immediately affects my system, especially my blood pressure and the level of sugar in my blood. This makes me weak, fatigued, causes me severe, day-long headaches, etc. It is no fun. That's what I had to deal with yesterday. =(

Today's outfit is a cute, breezy, cotton, one-shoulder dress in a light cotton, I wore during a day off while out for dinner with my husband. I love the shape and lavender color of the dress. I kind of went picture-crazy that day, mostly because my camera was not cooperating that day and the photos were very bright. Anyway, here is the outfit.
Lavender, One-Shoulder, Short, Breezy, Cotton Dress w/ a Ruffle on the Bottom: Arden B.
Olive Green & Light Green, Beaded Dangly Earrings: JC Penney.

Stripes, Plaid and Roses.

Hello All TGIF. I am so exhausted. I have been MIA in the last couple of days, but that's due to life.  The last couple of days I have been extremely busy at work that even my sleep was left to the side. That's tiring for a pregnant woman, also dealing with very hot weather (still). I have had meetings, appointments, several e-mails, projects and a TV show to get ready for yesterday (a daily early evening talk show) where myself and the other people invited talked about the phenomena, the sex book that almost every woman is reading these days, the book everyone is talking about: 50 Shades of Gray. It's actually a Trilogy. Have any of you ladies it read it yet? What do you think of it? Do you like the story between the two main characters, besides the sex part? I was invited there as an avid book reader as well as the manager of the largest bookstore in Albania, so this interview was part of my job.

Anyway, let's move on to an outfit. I am mixing and matching pastels today: mint/aqua and yellow (in white backgrounds), as well as prints: stripes and plaid. I like the end results. This outfit is quite girly too because I have aqua-rose earrings, a rose-printed purse and bows on my shoes. And of course my skirt is definitely full and girly. =)

White & Yellow Modern, Geometric-Plaid Print, Short-Sleeve, Button-Down Shirt w/ Buckle Detail on the Sleeves: Express.
Mint-Green/Seafoam Scalloped Midi-Skirt w/ Teal, Green, Yellow and Sky Blue Stripes: American Eagle.
Blue-Rose Plastic & Gold Metallic Stud Earrings: Koton.
Silver Chain, Dainty Necklace w/ a Teardrop Shaped Baby Blue Stone: Kohl's.
Pink, Plastic Sunglasses: Kenneth Cole.
Ivory, Crossover-Body Purse w/ a Small Rose Print: Gifted from my In-Laws (from their summer trip to Greece).
Black Patent Leather & Apple Green Faux Suede, Bow Ballet Flats: Simple Shoes.

5-Best Dressed Ladies at the Emmys 2012.

Primetime Emmy Awards 2012.

There were a bunch of great-dressed women at this year's Emmy Awards, but there were also a lot of Fashion mistakes I thought. Overall I wasn't too impressed. Below, is my list for this year's 5 Best Dressed Ladies. In a future post I will post the rest of top 10, in my opinion as well as some other gowns I loved at this year's ceremony. So, what do you think of my choices?

Tie for Number 1 Spot: Ginnifer Goodwin & January Jones.
I got to give my Number one spot to both Ginnifer Goodwin and January Jones. I had such a hard time choosing. These ladies, always push the Fashion Envelope.
First, Ginnifer is wearing an Intricate Nude & Red Masterpiece by Monique Lhuillier - favorite Red Carpet designer for me. I also love how she kept the same identical colors on her gorgeous pumps. The gown's style is simple yet with a voluminous skirt but it's all that hand-work and embroidery that make is so special and grand. I love her choice of Black Metallic accessories. Very modern clutch, cocktail ring and earrings. In my opinion, Ms. Goodwin has never looked better. =)
Secondly, January Jones's gown has a 3D effect. The Zac Posen black on black see-through and solid material with a cascading skirt sweep off one side, is phenomenal. It envelops her curves beautifully. Her black accessories are very simple and chic as is her hair and makeup. Ms. Jones always does something different and unexpected on the red carpet. I have even liked a lot of what critics have called considered "a miss" for her.

2 Spot: Padma Lakshmi.
This TV Host has a Model Statue and this Gorgeous Orange Gown by Monique Lhuillier shows her fantastic body even more. Simple earrings was all she chose to compliment this stunning Mandarin shade. And once again designer Lhuillier delivers.

3 Spot: Claire Danes
One of my favorite actresses (when it comes to their personal style), Claire is wearing what shined as the color of the night: Bright Yellow, almost Mustard. Her gown is by Lanvin: simple, elegant, beautiful and understated, showcasing her cute baby bump. I love her choice of gold accessories with this.

4 Spot: Brooke Burke
I couldn't find anything about the designer of this dress but one thing is for certain, this glowing newlywed and "Dancing with the Stars" host has never looked better. Brooke wears white a lot on the red carpet as well as on "Dancing" but this is her best white gown yet. Smart choice on ivory/silver accessories and yet her red nails pop. This woman has a rocking body and this gown shows it.

5 Spot: Morena Baccarin
I think this actress for a while played on the ABC series "V" but she had short hair at the time. Though I am not sure what TV show she plays on now and I don't know who made her gown, one thing is for sure: she looks like a million bucks in it. This grayish/taupe color is amazing on her olive skin with her dark, wavy, shoulder-length hair. The beautiful pleating and detailing on the gown is definitely unique and those long dangly earrings are pieces that stand out.

Mixing, Matching and Animal Prints.

Hi Guys. The sun is shining. It is warm and bright here, about 80-82 degrees. Looks like summer made one last turn our ways. I am quite busy right now as I am getting dressed for work and still have to dry my hair. But I will be back later today with an Emmy Awards 2012 Fashion Post.

I mixed a bunch of things here both in colors, prints and style-wise. I just bought these Tom-like shoes for dirt cheap. I love the color and they are pretty comfortable. They would work for dry days during early Fall. Plus a pop of coral or orange on my feet, who doesn't want that? So I mixed my Cobalt today with Black and Gray as well as another non-neutral color - Orange. =)

Heather Gray "Wild" Zebra-Print Tee w/ Black & White Stripes, Featuring Sequins: Express.
Cobalt Blue, Skinny Cropped Pants: Calliope.
Light-Green & Gold-Edged, Flower-Shaped, Stud Earrings: Parfois.
Royal Blue, Glass-Beaded, Long Statement Necklace: Beadz N' Bagz.
Blue Python-Print, Plastic, Wide Bangle: Express.
White & Yellow, Casual, Stripped, Cotton Belt: Terra Nova.
Pink, Plastic Sunglasses: Kenneth Cole.
Ivory, Crossover-Body Purse w/ a Small Rose Print: Gifted from my In-Laws (from their summer trip to Greece).
Coral/Orange, Canvas Loafers w/ Espadrille Soles: Terra Nova.

Leopard and Red for a Breezy-Cool Summer Outfit.

Good Afternoon Friends and Followers. It is Monday which means a new week begins and the end of September is also upon us. Where did this month fly by? It started great for me though because husband and I sprung a little vacation for ourselves the first week of September. Also, last week was great because the temperatures cooled down quite a bit, to the point that in some evenings and mornings was even cold, a blazer or light outdoors jacket was needed. But I knew it was too good to last. We are back to 80-85 degrees of heat this week, starting today. It is supposed to be about 60-70 in the evening but still it is hot for the daytime. Yikes! While I enjoyed being back in a silk skirt and a tee with sandals, bare legs and no sweater or blazer over, I was also secretly wishing the lower temperatures would continue. But, even though I don't know Tirana very well, I know you get pretty much 5 months of summer here whether you want to or not. =P

We all know leopard and red are forever and a day meant to be perfect partners together (fashion partners that is). I could have worn something less predictable with this silk leopard skirt but my orange-red tee won over. I also chose the tee (besides the color) for the breezy effect, the light cotton material is wonderful. I love the color and scoop neck of it. I added one of my favorite and simpler long necklaces I own, as well as my favorite black thong sandals of this summer and voila! I am linking today with Visible Mondays - Patti's weekly feature on her Not Dead Yet blog. This is the 65th Monday she is doing this, so it's been a good, strong feature for over a year. Check her out and all the other fabulous ladies.

Short-Sleeve, Scoop-Neck, Orange-Red, Soft Cotton Tee: Ann Taylor LOFT.
Beige, Brown and Black Leopard-Print, Flowy, Silk Skirt: Mervyn's California.
Long, Sparkly, Jet, Beaded, Black Necklace: The Limited.
Tory-Burch "Look-Alike", Black, Thong Sandals: Il Cammino.

P.S. My Oufit's Colors today even match the logo above for "Visible Mondays".

Baby Pink Date for... Three!!

So, it cooled down here the last 3-4 days or so. Mornings and evenings are quite chilly, then let's say 11.00-4.00 is warmer, especially yesterday and even warmer today. If you have to spend most or all day outside, layers are definitely a must. However, today I had to leave my house very early in the morning and I have to go home after work, real late at night, which called for leggings, a 3/4 sleeve tunic and even a blazer to wear out.

Today's outfit though is from a few weeks ago on a date night out which ended with an awesome waffle dessert. Clearly it was hotter when these photos were taken. However we were out until 11.00 PM or so, so it did get chilly later on, I should have grabbed a cardigan when I got out of my house. We took a lot of photos that day so I am sorry about the abundance of photos. Also, in some of the after photos of the outfit, you will see a huge stain on my nice silk tank (of course on my chest =P). That's thank to the ice-cream (from the dessert) I was able to spill. I am actually let's say 70-80% of the time good about not staining my clothes but sometimes it happens. LOL

The best photos of me from the night, taken outside. I like the very light colors of this outfit, especially the almost-nude baby pink top. =)
And some photos with my husband, the very happy daddy-to-be. I like how we are both matching in light pinks. Piro (my husband) looks great in bright colors and in Polo shirts. This shirt is both. My favorite photo of us from that day is this last one. =)
What a handsome man! He loves his espresso. He usually has two at a time. He is definitely a coffee lover and we are opposites in this area. He has gorgeous grayish/blue/greenish eyes. His eyes are light and unique. I wish the baby takes daddy's eyes.
 Our yummy desserts!!
Yes, I even had a light-shimmery pink eyeliner on. I love the jewels on my top, by the way.
These shoes are gorgeous. Not the most comfortable wedges but still, we didn't have to walk too far. We kept the date local, in our neighborhood to be exact. I love the silk petals with the beautiful beads and tiny pearls. Lots of intricate work for shoes from Payless. I always find beautiful treasures at Payless, girls. =)
