Start the Week Off Stylish: Romper and Link-up.

Can anyone believe today is the last day of August and technically the last real month of Summer? To say that this past August has been extremely busy (yet fun and fulfilling) for me, would be a huge understatement. I am back from vacation, though the weather wasn't very nice or warm this time around. But we still relaxed, did a lot of walking down-town St. Joseph, MI, ate at different nice restaurants, did a lot of sightseeing, swam at the pool (and even at the lake one day) and much more. (Stay tuned for the "much more" part on an upcoming post.) This Monday I am back with Michelle and Ana Luiza as the co-host for their Mondays Link-Up: "Start the Week Off Stylish". The prompt for today and this week is Rompers and/or Jumpers. So, welcome and join us three today. You can link up a romper, a jumper or any other fashion post.
I own 5 Rompers (the Silky Navy one from today, another Navy with White Polka Dots, a Brown one - which I cannot seem to find - and 2 Floral Ones) but this by far is my most favorite one and if I am not mistaken the only one I packed for when I left Albania to come to USA, 4 weeks ago. See, this Romper is super flattering, simple and quite versatile. The style is easy-breezy, casual and classic. The silky material is dressy enough yet so easy to wash. This Romper can easily be dressed up or down (sort of like I have done today in this Transition from Summer to Fall post).  Speaking of this Navy Romper, I also packed it last week on my vacation to St. Joseph that I talked about last Monday, but it never got worn. It's OK because I am wearing it today as I am typing this post, so look for an upcoming way to style/wear it, again. However, this Monday I bring you a two-ways-to-wear post of styling the same piece from Summer into (early) Fall. I plan on doing this same feature every Monday in September so stay tuned.

So, how did I transition this Navy Romper from Summer to Fall? The first outfit was from mid July and is more casual. Pairing the Romper with Bright Kelly Green Sandals, a Neon Druzzy (Statement) Necklace and Bright Blue Button Earrings definitely adds more to the Summery feel. The second outfit was worn in late August (just yesterday) and it is more dressy, worn on a lunch date. To take it into Fall, I added a Tan/Nude Faux Fur Shrug, a Gold+Burnt Orange Cuff, Cognac Mary Jane Wedges and a Black with Gold Chain Strap Cross-body Bag. I totally shopped my US closets for the shrug plus cuff and borrowed the bag from my mom. Even my makeup is more fall-like. I have on a plum lip and a dark emerald eyeliner (linked below for you). What do you think of how I wore this Romper from Summer to Fall?

Neon, Gold-Tone Statement Necklace w/ Pear-Shaped Druzy Stones: A Local Boutique (gorgeous option by Bauble Bar, my favorite), (fun bib option, best deal, love this), (fun cluster option).
Light Gray/Clear+Silver, 2-Stranded Beaded Bracelet w/ Tassel Charm: White House Black Market (very similar, best deal, love this), (similar multi bracelets, fantastic deal, love these), (gorgeous, intricate stretchy cuff option).
Bright, Kelly Green Strappy Sandals: Simple Shoes (New) (similar, trendy option), (similar, love this), (dressy stiletto option by Guess, love this).

I love that both of the hosts today wore Neutral-Colored Rompers/Jumpers as well. Ana Luiza's Romper is similar in style to mine and she even topped it off with a Jacket like I did. She also has on Cognac Wedges like me and accessorized with a Cross-body Bag, too. While, Michelle looks so modern and relaxed in that beautiful Heather Gray Jumpsuit (which I want) and Tan Leather Tote.

Lipstick: Revlon Superlustrous in "Plum Baby".
Eyeliner (in Dark Emerald): Avon (very similar by Mark from Avon IN "Grassroots").

Guest Post: Laura on Remixing Black+White Patterned Shorts.

Hi guys. Happy Hump Day!! I am currently vacationing with my daughter and my parents so a quick Guest Post for you today by one of my favorites LAURA from I Do deClaire. She is mother to a young girl who is almost the same exact age as Vivian. Laura is always so cute, polished and put together even at her most casual days. If you don't follow her yet, be sure you stop by her blog and show her some love because she won't disappoint you.

Hi everyone! I am Laura and I blog over at I do deClaire. I am so excited to be guest posting  for Ada while she is on vacation with her family! I post about fashion on a budget. I love remixing pieces from my wardrobe to get the best cost per wear. This summer printed shorts have been my jam! As I work in the schools, I have summers off with my daughter. To look slightly more put together I have been reaching for my printed shorts to add interest to my outfits while still being comfortable.

I got these shorts a few years ago at Old Navy and I've worn them 7 times on my blog, but lots of times off of it! They are less than a $1 a wear now! You have to love a versatile item like that! Check out all the ways I've worn them so far. Links to the original posts are below.

Since I own these same shorts, Laura is totally inspiring me to try them with Mint, Hot Pink and Coral among other ways. I love the top 3 outfits. I too reach for these Ikat Old Navy Shorts often. They are one of my most favorite pairs.

What to Pack for a Late Summer Vacation by the Lake.

We have been lucky and blessed to go on two vacations this year. Today we are driving to St. Joseph (Michigan) for our third vacation. The first time around we went with my in-laws (as well as my own little family) for a 9-day Vacation by the Adriatic Sea in early June. Then, in mid July we went for a weekend getaway just the my husband, Vivian and I somewhere different by the Adriatic Sea. This time around we will be near a lake. Vivian and I are vacationing with my parents. It is their "Welcome to Michigan" gift to us.

What to Pack for a Late Summer Vacation by the Lake.

Late Summer Lake Vacation
If this collage seems familiar, is because I did a similar one back in early June when we went to vacation at the sea (by the Adriatic), for 9 days. Actually several items I am packing are very similar. Last time I packed a Strapless Short Dress, a Maxi Dress, Flip Flops, Denim Shorts, a Denim Jacket, a Romper, a Patterned Scarf, Long Dangly Earrings, a Coral Cocktail Ring and a Plain Tank Top, as well. But, late June Mediterranean weather (even if it wasn't super hot) is a lot, a lot warmer than late August Michigan Weather, a little northern in Michigan. Plus, now the days are shorter. And if  last week is any indication, mornings are quite cold and evenings have been cool and chilly here in Michigan.

This time around, similar to the collage, I am also packing some flare jeans, a black cardigan, a bright-colored, light-knit sweater (mine is in a similar citrusy shade) and a kimono-esque floral blouse, just having more options for when it gets cool early morning and in the evening. I am also packing more shoes and jewelry this time around. My parents and I are planning on a lot more dining out than we did when I was on vacation in June. I was often in a bathing suit in June. We were at the beach for longer hours and we cooked a lot at our rented apartment. This time I want to have more options and since we are staying at a hotel, we won't be doing any laundry. All of mine and Vivian's clothes fit in a carry-on plus we are driving so it's OK.

I am packing 5 bathing suits in total, including a solid neutral one-piece (similar to the collage), and a striped one (similar to the collage). I am packing simple flip-flops, black sandals, white ballet flats and red slip-on sneakers (similar to the collage). I might even pack a second pair of sandals. Of course a neon statement necklace, a pair of dangly blue earrings, some colorful studs, a pineapple tote bag and a tassel scarf (like on the collage) are among the accessories I am packing. A brown tank top, a maxi skirt, and once again  both a romper (I packed a neutral one this time), a denim jacket (mine is in a light wash with a mandarin collar) are also coming with me. I also have some floral soft shorts, khaki shorts, a solid scarf and a couple more things coming with me. What do you think of my packing list? Are these any items you would pack for a lake vacation in late August? The town we will be staying has a cute down-town and we will be in the city more, that is why I wanted more clothes this time around. Oh and in case St. Joseph sounds familiar over here it's because it is Whitney's Home Town and her favorite town, back from when she guest posted for me, a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy this week!
