Mommy+Mini Valentine: Pinks and Grays.

Finally, on the last day of February, I am posting the 5th Mommy+Mini Look inspired by Valentine's Day. Better late than never, right? We wore this for a day of shopping and a stop to McDonald's, on a Friday morning+early afternoon with Vivian. Though my dress is a Mauve shade of Pink and my Tights are a Dark (Marled) Gray, Vivian did coordinate with me with her Pink Sweatshirt Dress and Light Gray Ribbed (Knit) Skinny Pants.
You may remember this Hi-Lo Gray Sweater Dress which I have already styled/shown 3 times on the blog already. But IRL I have worn it at least half a dozen of times. On this post I mentioned I would get the Mauve version and I did. I ended up wearing it twice in February - it was a great color (also pretty subtle) for the month of love. Sometime in early February I picked up this Pretty Lace Choker in a Light Mauve Pink (from Express) and this Sweater Dress is the first one I styled it with - it is perfect for it. I love how it layered with the Dainty Gold …

Currently, March 2017.

It feels like I just wrote my last currently post, just the other day. In actuality, it hasn't even been 4 weeks. February proved to be the super short month it always is. It definitely felt like it. I blinked and bam, it is gone (one more day). The first Wednesday of each month, ANNE of Anne In Residence hosts this fun monthly linkup called "Currently". She comes up with 5 prompts (verbs) of what we are up to for that particular month and below I have March's edition.

Before I go ahead with the prompts, I want to add a few goals to these monthly posts. I didn't make any New Year's resolutions which is good but I do want to accomplish some things/goals each month. For March I want to:

- get my taxes done and sent.
- spent very little or no money on myself. My closet only needs about 3 things (a pair of mules, skinny black jeans and a blue denim jacket), so no need to spend on other unnecessary things.
- finish the 2 books I have already started to read and start…

Academy Awards 2017, biggest trends and hits.

So, I started thinking of and writing this post on Friday. But you know I have a life besides blogging, too. Plus, these posts are time consuming, sorry. As we all know the 89th Academy Awards or Oscars are on this Sunday February 26th. It is by far the biggest and most important red carpet of the year. I am sure all the stars (at least a huge majority) will look glamorous, beautiful and stylish. Over the last few years I have recapped some of the major fashion award shows with my favorite and least favorite looks, like the Golden Globes, the Emmy's, the Grammy's and the Oscars. I have fallen very behind this year, clearly, but you will see these recap posts popping up here in the next few weeks.

'Greenery' being the color of the year we will see a lot of dresses in Green at the Oscars. From Citrusy Lime and Seafoam to Emerald, Deep Forest or Teal, we will see green make a huge comeback.

Another huge trend will be Metallics. Gold, Silver, Pewter, Bronze or even Metallic …

Thursday Moda #52: One Year Celebration continues with a Collaboration.

Welcome to the 52nd Thursday Moda linkup, yes it has been a year! Hooray! Thank you all for making this linkup super fun and bringing your awesome sense of style each week (while inspiring me along the way), by linking up. If you stopped by yesterday, you know that I started the celebration early. My mini me and I coordinated our outfits complete with Fresh Flowers and all. Vivi stole the blog, as always. Today, I am continuing the celebration but I am totally getting all fancy on you. I am sharing a Stunning Red Gown I recently received via "Places to Go" - a local boutique here in Michigan. It came at the perfect time because it was 'the dress' to style for my one year anniversary of Thursday Moda.
To help me celebrate today I got together 9 beautiful ladies who have their own style blogs. They also got dressed up and in spirit are celebrating with me today - I cannot thank them enough. Each outfit is so different from the next - they all have very different styles …
