Famous Last Words - Poetry.

I just wrote this poem and the style of it is a little bit different. But I like how it turned out. I wanted to use the saying or metaphor "Famous Last Words" as the back story of this little poem. It is about a couple who is in love and believes in love (the good and the bad of it) and says the words" I Love you" (those 'famous last words') often, to one-another. Speaking of poems, you really loved my last one "A Thousand Million Times". That one was so raw, pure, genuine, true emotion. Not that today's poem isn't so. But that last poetry I posted really got you all's attention. Thank you for all the nice, kind comments you wrote there and some of you even DM-ed and E-Mailed me. You were moved by that little poem. Thank you so much. I love that you enjoy my non-fashion-related content!

FAMOUS  LAST  WORDS.
[5.53 P.M. August 13th 2019.]

Famous last words...
"I Love You So Much!"
I heard that so often,
I believed it in my heart...

A promise not rare,
a bond not shaken,
a cocktail stirred well,
a dinner well-served!

I love you's were said,
kisses were given,
hugs were exchanged,
promises were made...

Feet and sheets were tangled
and lovers made love,
giggles had raptured the stomach
and smiles had twirled the lips...

Words were not spoken,
hugs were given,
cuddles had caressed the bodies,
spooning had bloomed between them...

"I Love You" was said
time and time again,
sweet notes were left
with more "I love you" written on them...

"I Love You",
"I Love You Too".
Famous last words
of a couple of enamored souls
who believed in love and fairy-tales,
who believed in yesterdays and tomorrows,
who believed in prince charming and glass slippers,
white picket fences and a house full of children...
they believed on all of it!!

Thursday Moda #180: Teal Appeal.

I am posting the linkup a day earlier you all because I am leaving for our annual Lake Michigan family vacation tomorrow and will be gone for 6 days. So Happy Hump Day you all! I greet you today with a Lovely, Dressy, Swiss Dot Overlay Tulle Teal Dress (it is from the Xhilaration line at Target from a couple of years ago, but looks at least twice or thrice its price). I just love the neckline of this dress. It is a dressy, little fancy piece. It can even work for a wedding, but for a Friday Evening Out (with my mom and my daughter) down-town beautiful Plymouth Michigan I dressed it down.

TEAL  APPEAL.
...So I dressed it down with my Black Faux Leather Zippered Gladiator Sandals by Target which paired so perfectly with my Real Genuine Leather Little Crossbody Designer Bag. My makeup was on fleek with that wipe of plum lipgloss and added a pop of white, via those Marble Acrylic Statement Earrings, from a local Michigan boutique. I loved how this teal dress looked against all the bright greens and leaves of the nature and next to the colors of the brick wall and the deep purple shade of that flower bush. It is a cute little dress and it brings out my twirly, girly side, too. Next, I plan on transitioning this lovely Teal Appeal Dress into Fall with a touch of Leopard. Honestly, this dress is so versatile and the right deep jeweled shade of teal, that can work and transition into any season. I also think it would look lovely paired with red or magenta for the Holiday season in December. The light layered tulle material is light enough yet heavy enough for all seasons. How should I style this dress next?! What do you think?!

No Thursday Moda Favorites this week because I have a lot to do prior to Vacation + I want to get a good night sleep cause I am driving for a few hours, leaving early tomorrow morning. But there will be another Thursday Moda Favorites as usual, next Thursday as per regular programming. Thank you all for linking up this week, stopping by, commenting, showing some love and supporting my blog. I wish you all a fantastic weekend this mid August!! Keep in touch with me while I will be gone on vacation, by following me on My Instagram. There will be lots of new content and fun vacation stories in there, during my mini vacation. =)

Little White Crochet Skirt.

I think every woman should own a little white or off-white crochet skirt. They are a perfect piece for Summer, can be dressed up or down, from a relaxed office to a daytime brunch, to a wedding or baby shower or a dinner date night. Plus it is a piece that if paired or styled correctly, can be worn multiple times for all 4 seasons. I have had this little skirt from H+M since I was living in Albania when I moved back there for a few years. It is 5 years old, but pair it with a Cute Little Leopard Tank-Top and you got an outfit with interest, pattern and texture that is also classic because leopard is always classy, timeless and in style! You can always swap the tank top for a dressy leopard blouse, button-down or sweater. I think it would also look beautiful with an ivory or white top and a little fitted leopard cardigan over it, half-buttoned. I do like how I went for a casual, mom-on-the-go Sunday look (wore this last Sunday actually for a quick Starbucks breakfast date with my lovely daughter and a friend). I loved the peak of the Red Lace Free People Bralette. I own two of these infamous bralettes and paid full-price for mine (close to 40 bucks each), but Macy's offers them on sale every now and then from 20 to 40% off. I really want a black one too. As far as support, they offer little to medium support. You can always layer a nude, seamless, nylon bandeau bra underneath them though, like this one. I also decided to match the bralette straps with the adorable criss-cross ruffle straps of these Little Suede Red Sandals by Target (from last year or perhaps a couple of years ago). I added a couple of little Crystal Beaded Bracelets, Fun Rings and a Hand-Made Charm Necklace, plus some Fun Rafia Black+Tan Circle Earrings which unfortunately fell apart since I fell asleep wearing them. All in all, this was a cute look and I cannot wait to wear this Little White Crochet Skirt again. Perhaps with sneakers next time, for an Athleisure Look. what do you think?!
