Flashback Friday: Orange and Black.

As far as I know I do not own a lot of Orange. Though, now that I am typing this I am dressed very comfortably and wearing some Orange. You will see today's outfit sometime next week. Today I wanted to do a Flashback Friday type of post (I used to do these every now and then on Fridays, but haven't done them much in over a year). Since it is the Friday before Halloween, I am focusing on Orange and Black today (in my looks). These are all from my archives. Most outfits are older than a year so as I look back, I will write a little about each outfit, what I think of that particular outfit, today, as in October 29th 2015. Let's take a look down memory lane together, shall we?

Even-though this outfit is 3.5 years old, I remember it very well. I have a photographic memory in general so I do remember most of my outfits, but some in my particularly I remember very well, including the little details. This is one of them. I love this outfit head to toe, maybe because I love this Bright Orange Cowl-Neck Sweater Dress. I paired it with Black Tights and you cannot tell but my Oxford Wedges are in a Chocolate Brown. I also added a very Tailored Tan Blazer (it is part of a Skirt Suit I own). And I am in heaven among all these books, because the photos were taken at my old job. I love books and magazines so this is perfect. Clearly, I have a lot to say about this Outfit. It is one of my top 3 favorites in this flashback post.

This was me at almost 9 months pregnant on December 2012, in one of the last outfits I wore to work. I am faking a Black Suit with my Blazer and Leggings plus I matched my Burnt Orange Maternity Tee to my Burnt Orange Boot Socks. If I ever was pregnant again, I would repeat this look for a cold day - it is cozy and cute.

Well, this was technically one of the Holiday Outfits from last year but I think the (mostly) all black look with the pop of orange from my Fun Graphic Clutch works out well for Halloween, too. I am faking OTK Boots too - I actually have on Black Booties and Over-the-Knee Socks.

OK, so there is more than Orange and Black in this outfit, but the first thing you see is that Stunning Vibrant Orange Plaid Blanket Scarf and my Black Pants also make up half of my Outfit. I absolutely love this look from last Fall (which I wore to work) and I would repeat it without a second thought.

Another pregnancy look worn to work, while I was 7 and a half months pregnant. This Wrap Dress was perfect to wear while pregnant. It is one of the 2 Orange Dresses I own and I paired it with some Black, Brown and Beige/Khaki. It was another very comfortable look but I looked put-together with my Dressy Camisole, Fun Headband and Statement Necklace.

I have no idea what happened to this Dress. Another Work Look from the last job I had before having Vivian. This office-appropriate Sheath nicely color-blocks Black with Burnt Orange and you cannot tell but I was pregnant here, in my first trimester. The only thing I would change is wear some Patent Leather Black or  Patent Leather Burgundy Pumps, instead of my Burgundy Patent Leather Loafers.

Now, I am sure most of you remember this outfit. I actually wore it last year in late October, for a Dinner Date and Cocktails with my husband. I have on my Favorite Black+White Sweater which I paired with my Favorite Orange Sweater and I am carrying this Beautiful Magazine Cover Clutch, once again. It is one of my Most Favorite Looks, ever.

First of all ignore the background. I used to be a Marketing Manager for the largest bookstore chain in Albania. At the time, I took most of my pictures sneaking into the office. But that day there were people in and out of our offices so I opted for this storage room and called this 'an industrial shot". Anyway, here is my Favorite Orange Dress again. The Black is subtle here: on the dots of my Cardigan. I also added two other Fall Colors: Taupe Belt and Olive Wedge Booties.

Speaking of Flashback to Halloween, here is my sweet girl Vivian celebrating her very first Halloween. She was about 9 months old. She was Minnie Mousse. And it looks like with her costume she got two things covered for October: Halloween and Pink (for the month of breast cancer).

Edgy and Cozy in Target Layers.

mentioned a trip to Target the other day. I wanted to look for some things for me and for some Holiday outfits for Vivian. I originally picked up 6 or 7 things for me, but was good and only ended up purchasing three: this duster plaid dress, some booties and espadrille flats (all on sale). I bought 2 Holiday dresses, an outfit and a set of pajamas for Vivian, though. I have seen these long hi-lo duster shirt-dresses and really wanted to try this one from Target myself, plus it is Plaid and in Black+White, which I love. I am not sure I pull off this style well though, you tell me?! Or maybe I am not too crazy about the dress layered up into a cozy Fall Look (which you can see each layer on the collage above). What do you think? Does the Duster Dress look OK for Fall? I think it would look super adorable on its own for Summer. I would belt it and wear some cute sandals with it.

So for a brisk cold day yesterday, I layered a Lilac (almost a Light Gray) Cardigan underneath the Edgy Plaid Shirt-dress by Target and layered an Olive Green Puffer Vest over it. Last I added a Cozy Burgundy Scarf, also from Target and I was warm enough. I received this scarf as a gift this month, but I will talk more about it on another post. I love it though, since I am a huge fan of infinity knit scarves and already own a couple. I kept most of my outfit monochromatic between my dress, cardigan, booties and bag and added two of this Fall's biggest colors (two colors I happen to love) Olive *Dried Herb* and Burgundy *Marsala*.

Last but not least, two of the last prompts at "Create 28 Fall Looks" with Whitney, Casey and Carrie were Vests and Layers. This Outfit totally covers both, very well.

Have a Sweet+Scary Halloween Weekend!!

Pink Patterned Shirtdress, Fringe Booties and Breast Cancer Awareness Linkup.

Happy Hump Day you all and Happy Linkup Day! I hope you have all enjoyed wearing Pink and showing Amy and I your pink-themed fashions, clothes, makeup and more this month on Mondays and Wednesdays.  We have loved seeing all the participants and though today is the last day, the linkup will stay open till the last  day of this month. October is almost over, folks. I have had fun co-hosting this linkup with Amy, bi-weekly.

I pulled today's outfit from the archives (being honest here) because during some busy and very cold last couple of days, I haven't been able to have a new pink outfit ready for you. I actually wore pink last week to a shower, but I don't have those photos ready. And I wore some pink yesterday but it was too chilly and windy for pictures so I didn't bother with photos. But, not to worry, I will share those outfits on this here blog, soon. Today, I paired a Baby Pink Geometric-Print Silk Shirt-dress with my Fringe Camel Booties, why not! The little rectangles and stripes on the dress are in shades of raspberry, plum, marsala and red so pairing it with a Raspberry Statement Necklace and matchy Earrings was easy. What do you think? This outfit has also a little retro 70s look to it, also. You know I have been loving the 70s styles, lately. Do you own a Shirtdress in a Fun or Bright Pattern? Below, I found several gorgeous pink-patterned shirt-dresses, I linked up to, as well.
Double-strand Necklace w/ Berry-Pink Jade Stones & Silver Rhinestones in Black Suede Strands: White House Black Market (fun option w/ fringe-looking beads by Neiman Marcus, great deal, love this), (oval pendant option by Kendra Scott, comes in many colors, my favorite), (similar w/ bamboo beads, best deal, love this).

Since today is the last day of the Breast Cancer Awarenes Linkup which was themed in Pink, to honor this great cause and to support the fight against such an awful disease, I also wanted to share 5 of my Most Favorite Fall Outfits I have ever done on this blog, which feature the color Pink. Which are your top 2 looks, from the ones below?

And since I have some Fringe on my outfit today, I am linking up with Laura and Erin for "Trend Spink Linkup". The theme of the week is Fringe.

Last, but not least, next Wednesday and the Wednesday after that (November 4th and 11th, respectively) welcome here and link-up your looks. I am co-hosting a Style Linkup with MONICA from Jersey Girl Texas Heart.
Thank you all for stopping by, today. And for linking up, too.

Halloween's Colors.

I wore this outfit yesterday for a Starbucks and Target run (Vivian got some new Outfits for the Holiday season). And as you can see I am wearing Halloween's Colors: Black, Orange and Purple. Well, my Cardigan and my Jacket are both a few lighter shades than the actual Halloween Orange and Halloween Purple but my bag is the perfect Bright Orange. Originally I was going to wear Black Flats but Miss Vivian chose my shoes for me and I couldn't say no to her. These Comfortable Little Pink Pumps worked out great with the Lavender Jacket, especially since both pieces are Suede and they matched the Little Dangly Light Pink Earrings I had on. I did have the jacket over my shoulders for when I was out since it was a little windy, but rather than that, the cardigan was perfectly warm enough. And I am wearing Culottes which I have had in my closet for years. I am glad they are back in style. Actually, I shopped my closet for this entire look, today. Are you wearing any Orange, Black or Purple this week, since it is Halloween week?

Lavender Suede, Long-Sleeve Jacket w/ Silver Snap Buttons: Express (very similar by Burberry, Splurge), (similar by Victoria Beckham, on sale, my favorite).

P.S. Linking up with Allison, Ana Maria with Michelle, Angie, Brooke with EricaDanielle, Elle with Jacqueline, Erin with Laura, Grace, Kileen with Sandy,

Bohemian 70s Inspired Week: Suede Flares, Bell Sleeves, a Bow and a Hat.

I was so inspired to wear Bohemian and 70s-Inspired clothes lately, that I wanted to dress in the 70s era, just once more this week. I wore this outfit to breakfast out with a cousin yesterday. This outfit definitely has Boho, 70s and even some Country-style elements to it. It's a good thing the place we went to eat breakfast at, is a country-style restaurant lol. But, as a matter of fact I bought this hat from Forever 21 two weeks ago and I was dying to wear it. I almost wore it with this dress or with this dress but the way I styled those dresses the times I wore them, the hat didn't quite go. I love bow-tie blouses. Lately I have been inspired to try a collar blouse and tie a scarf around it as a big bow. I have seen this 70s trend pop into magazines, blogs I follow, Pinterest, ads I get sent to my e-mail from some of my favorite stores, etc. So I tied around a Long Silk Geometric-Print Scarf to my 70s/Boho Hot Pink Blouse with Puffy Bell Sleeves and to add another 70s element I paired them with these Flares which are a dark denim on the back and a patchwork cognac faux suede on the front. Lastly, I added this Bohemian Hat. I dressed up the whole look with my Gold Red Sole Pumps. I loved how the scarf tied all the outfit's colors together. Besides my Hat, I shopped my closet for everything else. So, with that said I am ending the Bohemian week with this outfit today. And of course I have Pink on to honor Breast Cancer Awareness. I am posting this today on Sunday night, a few hours before Monday linkup day, but go ahead and link up your Pink Outfits with me. Thank you.

Here is Stylish New Mom Rachel doing justice to the 70s by tying a Black Bow over her matching Black Blouse and she also has Camel Suede on the bottom, albeit a Mini Skirt.

I am also linking to the ladies of "The Creative Closet" for "Hats and Scarves".
