Thursday Moda #18 in Red, White and Feminine.

Welcome to Thursday Moda #18. Hard to believe I have been running this linkup for 4 months, now. It has been real good too, thanks to all of you! I am back in another White Dress. And a little more 4th of July inspiration since I chose Red Shoes and a Red Purse to pair my Midi LWD with.

Today's co-host is Elizabeth from Lizzie in Lace who is the girliest blogger and substitute teacher. Elizabeth (or Lizzie, or Liz) has a huge collection of Dresses, Skirts, Tulle and Bohemian pieces and she is in a dress or skirt 90% of the time (my kind of girl). She loves accessorizing with statement necklaces, red lipstick, pretty bohemian headbands and floppy hats. Today we are both in Red and White putting our Patriotic but Feminine flair to our outfits. Lizzie's beautiful Floral Blouse has also some Navy in it. Funny thing is I own the same Red Wedges as her and almost wore them with this outfit lol. Lizzie runs her own style linkup on Fridays - "Friday Favorites"  which I was a co-host for a couple of weeks ago. I am so glad she returned the favor, today. I find Liz's style adorable!

This is another LWD today in a Shirtdress style, featuring an eyelet see-through back. I recently purchased this dress for about 70% off, from Ann Taylor. The dress is made of a poplin cotton but it is still pretty thick and I love those oversized pockets. I also like that the buttons are covered. The midi length and hi-lo design on each side of the skirt are very modern. I just love, love that eyelet back though. I wore this dress out and about. I would very much wear it to work too, but with a nude slip underneath it. I decided to cinch the waist with an Urban, Sturdy, Brown Leather Belt that has been in my closet for years. I also added an Indian-inspired Wide Orange+Gold Cuff which I have paired with this same belt, before. Both of these pieces match my Brown Tortoise Glasses quite well. My Red Satin Slides go well with the Red Logo Purse. The Satin Red Slip-on Slides are so beautiful. They feature a Chinese Floral Pattern. And you can see my love for Kendra Scott Jewelry as I am wearing a Bracelet, Earrings and Necklace all from her. My Rose Quartz Statement Earrings mesh perfectly with the Dainty Druzy Rose Quartz Necklace. All in all, a chic, polished, street-chic and elegant look. Do you own a Midi-length White Dress? Petite Beauty Sheree rocks is polished up in 'Gingham Red White Blue'. Her Laced-up White Skirt and Off-Shoulder Gingham Blouse are so pretty.

Lorena rocks her 'Separates'. That Red+White Striped Pleated Midi Skirt is stunning, especially with the Button-Down Blue Chambray Shirt. All the white buttons on the front make it look like a dress.

Lisa is a style twin with Lorena in 'The Perfect Chambray Shirt' half-tucked into her Red+White Adorable Shorts.

Katie says she wears 'This Print on Repeat'. I cannot blame her, that midi skirt is stunning with a capital "S".

Sweet Ruffles LWD.

I didn't even feel like posting an outfit today because it feels not right, completely vain and selfish and like a jolt of happiness when in reality there has been so much bad and terror that has happened lately. I will continue on with my OOTD but I am very much aware and super frustrated about all the acts of violence, murders and terrorism that have happened lately. This hate and fear has got to stop. To better express my feelings, read below, a paragraph I posted last night on my personal Facebook account:

"Nothing and nowhere is safe and sound anymore. Schools, universities, libraries, churches, day-cares, kindergartens, city centers, museums, bars, cafes, restaurants, amusement parks, shopping malls, playgrounds, bars, nightclubs, movie theaters, outdoor parks, busses, airplanes, airports, or even your own home, there are no safe places in this world. Hate crimes, shootings, mass murders, bombings, killing innocent people, vandalism and acts of terrorism have become an everyday thing. And people say I am boring that I don't want to get out that much. Can you blame me? I am scared for my life and the lives of those who matter a lot to me. I hate seeing the news because it is all so bad and tragic. In the last week alone we have seen 3 major senseless acts and hundreds of victims. Please God protect my child and keep her safe!

Moving on to today's outfit, I must say I am in love with this LWD. The tiered ruffles, elbow-length sleeves, crochet detail on the neckline - very much on trend currently - and the silky material that is lined (so it doesn't look sheer) make it the perfect feminine sheath. I first saw this beauty worn on Elise and she looked gorgeous in it. She styled it about a month ago. I only bought this dress less than two weeks ago and I decided to wear it last night for our belated Anniversary Dinner (11 years). It was the perfect dress to honor our vows and remember our beautiful wedding day back in June 2005. "Who What Wear" is my most favorite collection and brand currently at Target. One of Target's best collaborations from the least few years in my opinion and I have picked up a few pieces from them. This is my second dress from them. I first styled this Black Eyelet Dress (which all of you loved), also from "Who What Wear", three weeks ago.

Since it was a little cool last night with temps in the mid to high 60s, I wore a Denim Jacket on top. This one is fairly new, bought on clearance at Target. Don't let the Fur Shearling Collar fool you into thinking it is too warm to wear for Summer. The jacket isn't lined or super thick and I kind of like how the cream shearling worked with the white dress. Since I carried a Red Clutch, this is a little 4th of July Red+White+Blue inspiration for you all, too. I also want to rave about my shoes for a minute. I have been wanting a pair of flat-forms badly. I found my pair from a local boutique close to where I live in Michigan. They carry mostly shoes and bags but also have other fun things. The brand of the shoes is "Bar None". They retail for $59.50 but I got an e-mail from the store and these shoes are currently on sale for $45.00 which I think is a great price. They are a man-made material but look like leather, are easy to walk with and very comfortable. The store owner was kind enough to gift me these shoes as well as a purse and a top, you will see me wear/style sometime in July. Last but not least, I want to rave about my Pretty Earrings. I wore some big and bold Gold Disc Earrings on yesterday's post. Today I have on Silver Disc Earrings. These are Sterling Silver and have a few Crystal Pave Stones in them. They are by White House Black Market whose jewelry I adore. So, what do you think of this Sweet Ruffled Little White Dress and how did I style it? This dress has been making the rounds on a few bloggers lately and I have loved it on every single one, including myself. It is a little short but I think for a date night, cocktail party or white party it truly is perfect.

Watercolor Chiffon LWD.

I am always off on Tuesdays but I am always running late that day, that includes my blogging schedule. Between spending time with Vivian, cleaning, laundry, spending necessary time with Viv, catching up on The Bachelorette and watching the new episode of "Wentworth" that is uploaded online that same day, my schedule is full and cup runneth over. But here I am posting The Cutest Little Shirtdress. This Dress is adorable because it falls under both the Little White Dress category and the Floral Dress category. With this dress I am wrapping up the floral dress week and starting the LWD week - the last week of Dresses from a month of Dresses, June. My Sweet Vivian was too busy spending time on her toy computer so we couldn't take any photos together that day. She wanted to make sure I didn't leave without her, so she put her little chair right by my van lol. I snapped these photos before leaving to visit my brother who had invited us for dinner. He makes a mean steak. The filet mignon he cooked for us, was lick-your-fingers good!

This dress by the Mossimo line at Target is so cute. It is in a Chiffon material but despite being a white background, it is still not see-through. It is a pop-over shirtdress style with a Mandarin Collar and a Knotted Bow detail on the waist. The print on it is in a Watercolor Flower design (like forest vines) in a Dark Green and Blush (Rose Quartz). I also added my newest pair of Sandals from Target, another Black Flat Gladiator pair (like yesterday's). This pair is studded with Silver Bullets and the ankle-strap is so flattering. A few Gold-Tone Jewelry pieces, my Tan+Silver Bow Headband and I was done. 

Vivian is wearing the most Gorgeous Pink Dress. It is in the softest knit material, midi length, with gorgeous Chiffon 3D Rosettes adorning the chest. It is courtesy of a local children's boutique here in the Metro Detroit area called "Yolo Kids". Doesn't she look adorable?
