Grunge in a Dress.

I cannot believe another month is gone and this year is almost half-way through. Though I celebrated a milestone birthday this month, plus my husband's birthday, 1/3rd of it was spent at the hospital so I am glad a new month is starting and technically it is the first month of Summer so Happy June and Happy June 1st - Children's International Day! I love my child so much and we will be joining her little party celebration at her daycare, a little later today.

Ohh, and if you like to do a Vacation or Traveling-based Guest Post for me next week, shoot me an e-mail. My address is
This Outfit is another result of cooler Spring days, around here. This easy, popover shirtdress hasn't been worn since I was 9 months pregnant, if I am correct (and yes, it did fit then because it is an empire-waist and I never got really huge either lol). It somehow got lost in my closet which happens when you have a ton of clothes. I did something different with it and went for …

Navy Sweater - 2 Casual Ways.

Hello. It is the last Friday and the last weekend of May. It was such a quick month for me. It definitely felt that way except the ten days I spent at the hospital with Vivi. Those felt looooong. Anyhow, I figured before May was over show you some more Sweater looks from this Spring. As always I am behind with outfit posting.
So, one of these outfits featuring my Navy Sweater is back from March and the other one from this month when we had some chilly weather this week. Though this Navy Sweater is pretty thick, it is  open-knitted and when worn alone (without a layer underneath) it is actually very light and easy on. On the first Outfit I wore a version of the denim-on-denim look with some Flare Blue Jeans and a Chambray Shirt underneath the Sweater in a much lighter shade than the Jeans. I kept the look very sporty by wearing some Sneakers by Skechers. While, with the second outfit you could say I did a version of leopard-on-leopard albeit my leopard isn't in the classic brown/ca…

Semi-Dressy Pastels.

This Outfit is from May 1st - one of the last ones featuring my Top 10 items (from my Top 10 April Challenge; you can see all the items from my Top 10 here). I started this challenge a few days after April had started so I decided to do it for exactly a month and finish towards the beginning of May. Posting this outfit late because as you know this has been quite the month for me. I have been busy, sad, exhausted, worried about Vivian, tired, overwhelmed, etc. But speaking of this challenge, I might do a recap of it soon, hopefully by no later than this Monday. So, in this Outfit I took 4 of my top 10 items (jeans, sweater, necklace and shoes) and paired them together effortlessly I must say since they are all in light Pastel Colors. Because it was cool that day I did add my Khaki Jacket for earlier in the morning. To dress it up more I carried a Clutch that day. I love how the Turquoise Loafers play off the Light Mint of the Sweater while the Bright Coral Clutch gets repeated in a l…

Joggers ala Americana.

Here is another simple yet chic way to wear my Marled Gray Joggers which have become a closet MVP for me. I feel between the Chambray Shirt and Olive Blazer, plus the American Flag Sneaker Loafers, the way I styled them this time is totally Americana and patriotic, hence today's title. It feels like I am lacking Accessories also, but I do have on a Blue Beaded Necklace which I circled around my neck twice, and some tiny Gold Hoops. What do you think of my Americana-styled Joggers? Yay or nay on this outfit? And if you are looking for a Chambray Shirt (I want a newer one, a little bit more loose and a slightly darker wash than the one in this post) I linked up many great options, most of which are reasonable, also. Happy Hump Day!
Light Chambray Button-Down Shirt w/ Chest Pockets: Meijer's (very similar, love this), (similar by Land's End, on sale), (gorgeous collarless option by Loft, great deal, love this), (BF option by Madewell, best deal), (classic, one-pocket option by…

New Floral Midi Skirt and a Little Lace.

Hope you all had a warm, sunny and festive Memorial Day. It was cold, chilly and rainy here since Saturday and today continues to be so, actually even colder. So don't let my outfit fool you. It was worn last Friday May 22nd when the weather was still warm and sunny. Currently, we are experiencing a little Winter during this late May so if you see some more Wintery Outfits here within the next two weeks, blame it on the weather.
Last week, I featured a New Floral Midi Skirt which I styled very casually. The one you see today is also new; it is actually the most recent one in my collection of Full Midi Skirts and I purchased it on my Birthday, with a friend. She made me do it. She saw it and loved it on me. But, seriously, I had been looking for one of these sort of striped organza floral skirts for a while now, especially in a dark background. This one is black with red, yellow, coral and pink flowers and roses which makes it go with so many other colors. This was my second and on…
