Pink Pixelated Dress with Green Sneakers and Cheering for Renae!

The Beautiful Renae who blogs over at Simple Sequins (with which I am linking up), is having her last round of chemo-therapy very soon (it was supposed to be this Friday, as in yesterday). I have talked about her before on the blog. This beautiful, strong, brave, wonderful woman is fighting breast cancer. On Fridays she Hosts a link up titled "Fashion Item Friday" and this Friday August 8th was a Pink Day. She suggested that her readers wore Pink! I, of course obliged because I love her, I stand up to Cancer and I support her 1000%. She is going through a lot and I feel for her, but like I said she is a tough cookie. And by the way Renae, this post is coming really really late, a day late, but I hope you forgive me since we spent the day at the beach yesterday with no internet, un-plugged. We got home really late and we were all super tired so no post. I am finally getting around to the post and I am even writing in Pink, for you Renae. =)

Anyway, I am re-wearing my Hi-lo, Asymmetric Pink Pixelated Dress, which this time around I wore on its own in a very casual way. Keeping Renae in mind and knowing she loves and owns many Cute Sneakers, I decided to pair it with my Green Watercolor Keds. I belted it with a Sky Blue Patent Leather Belt and even carried a Kelly Green Clutch by Gap. My Accessories definitely brought out the Greens and Blues of the Dress. I added some Dangly Navy Earrings and an armful of Bangles and I was done. What do you think? Have you worn any of your Summer Dresses with Sneakers before, or planning to? It ended up being a cute look: simple, sporty and put-together. =)
Light Coral Bracelet w/ Silver Beads twisted around the Silk RibbonsBijoux & Accessories.
Neon Pink Chain Rubber Bracelet: A $1.00 Boutique (New).
Multi-Colored, Hi-lo, Asymmetric Summer Dress w/ Ruffle: c/o a Local Boutique, by H&M (identical + an excellent price), (similar in floral), (similar in red chiffon), (similar in colorful chiffon).
Sky Blue, Patent Leather Skinny Belt: A Local Accessories Boutique (New) (very similar), (similar w/ metallic bow, love this), (similar, on sale).
Navy Crystal & Silver Rhinestone Beaded, Drop Earrings: Fred's Jewelry (similar, great deal), (similar, square navy w/ gold tone), (similar, circle navy w/ gold tone, love these).

And since this has been pretty much a Remix Week, I wanted to show you all 3 ways I have worn my Pink Watercolor, Hi-lo, Asymmetric Dress this Summer.

  1. My favorite is the dress with the chambray over it, but I also really love it with the skinny belt. It is kind and thoughtful to wear pink for her, it is sad and beyond me how so many young women are fighting breast cancer these days. Your dress is so colorful, you really could add so many accent colors to it with accessories, clutches, shoes, etc. So fun!

  4. What a fun look. The colors and the sneakers with the dress. I am meaning to try wearing a lot of sneakers but a shortie like me doesn't look good. Renae is a phenomenal woman and brave and strong. I adore the one with chambray over it.

  7. I would have to say the outfit with the green hat is probably my best look. I haven't worn sneakers with a dress in probably 10 years, but might need to revisit this decision.
