Stripes, Plaid and Roses.

Hello All TGIF. I am so exhausted. I have been MIA in the last couple of days, but that's due to life.  The last couple of days I have been extremely busy at work that even my sleep was left to the side. That's tiring for a pregnant woman, also dealing with very hot weather (still). I have had meetings, appointments, several e-mails, projects and a TV show to get ready for yesterday (a daily early evening talk show) where myself and the other people invited talked about the phenomena, the sex book that almost every woman is reading these days, the book everyone is talking about: 50 Shades of Gray. It's actually a Trilogy. Have any of you ladies it read it yet? What do you think of it? Do you like the story between the two main characters, besides the sex part? I was invited there as an avid book reader as well as the manager of the largest bookstore in Albania, so this interview was part of my job.

Anyway, let's move on to an outfit. I am mixing and matching pastels today: mint/aqua and yellow (in white backgrounds), as well as prints: stripes and plaid. I like the end results. This outfit is quite girly too because I have aqua-rose earrings, a rose-printed purse and bows on my shoes. And of course my skirt is definitely full and girly. =)

White & Yellow Modern, Geometric-Plaid Print, Short-Sleeve, Button-Down Shirt w/ Buckle Detail on the Sleeves: Express.
Mint-Green/Seafoam Scalloped Midi-Skirt w/ Teal, Green, Yellow and Sky Blue Stripes: American Eagle.

Silver Chain, Dainty Necklace w/ a Teardrop Shaped Baby Blue Stone: Kohl's.
Pink, Plastic Sunglasses: Kenneth Cole.

  1. Loving your sunny yellow top! It looks great with the minty green skirt. Hopefully this weekend you will get to rest :)

I have read all 3 books and although the writing wasn't the greatest, the book was entertaining. Heather

    1. Thanks for the outfit compliment. I hope the weekend is a little relaxing though my weekends are filled with work.

The writing is OK on the books but yes it is entertaining and an easy read. =)

  2. Ada, you look adorable. I love your jewelry. I hope you get some rest this weekend.

I have deliberately not read the book, but dang it, may have to do one of my famous speed reads, like I did with Twilight, when one of my daughters left it on the coffee table. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about :P

    1. I have never read Twilight but the writer of "50 Shades" was inspired by Twilight so you might like it. I went through over 100 pages a day with these books, so they are definitely easy to read considering I work a ton of hours, and I get to sleep at night, too. LOL

    1. I think the romance part of the storyline is quite nice. Yes the BDSM part is a little painful to read and takes too much in the book but it is still nice to know that indeed there are many people that make up such a community.

  4. That skirt is so fab. I'm not a fan of the book series, like Lynne, I have avoided reading. My reason is because I know it has a lot of inaccurate BDSM information, which I think is potentially damaging to that community and I don't want to support bad information being in such a popular book. Also my to-read list is so long, I never catch up on it all.

I am not sure about all the correct and incorrect information about BDSM but I also think that there is a fictional and phantasy aspect to the book, it is fiction after all. Anyways, it is not the best-made book but I still enjoyed it and I felt honored being invited at a Talk Show to talk about it.
