Thursday Moda 281, Skirtmas in July: The SKORT.

Today, Mireille and I are bringing you Athleisure Skirts or The SKORT to be more specific. Athletic skirts that feature shorts underneath have become so popular the last few years, especially since Covid. But I have always loved a skort, especially on my busy mom-on-the-go days. You can wear them for fashion purposes or physical activities. You can also wear them for cute, casual  but put-together outfits. You can jog in them, run in them, exercise in them at the gym, swim in them (many swimsuit styles feature bottoms made like a skort), wear them to run errands, wear them on a hot day for a picnic, a day at the Zoo, a little daytime brunch, hiking in style like Mirei wore hers or to play tennis like I did with my adorable skort from Joy Lab (via Target). They look great with sandals, slides, the classic white sneakers, colorful sneakers or a high-top sneaker, even wedges and espadrilles.

THE  SKORT.

The SKORT is such a cute style skirt. You all need one in your closet, in a breathable, sweat-proof, light material (like the kind of material workout leggings are made of). My adorable tennis-style skort from Joy Lab - a workout+loungewear brand from Target - fits all the categories I mentioned. It is made of a light, breezy, sweat-resistant, stretchy material. The tennis style and the length are perfect and I love that it is white since it goes with everything. Suiting my girly style, instead of tennis shoes I paired it with my adorable Stoney Clover pink sandals while I played a couple of rounds of tennis. This skirt paired perfectly well with this sleeveless white henley polo shirt with navy stripes (it's actually a bodysuit and it's amazing; it's by Abercrombie).  I linked my identical polo bodysuit by Abercrombie on the widget below and another similar ribbed version, plus several polos and so many adorable white tennis skirts and skorts. I found a very similar pair of sporty Pink Tevas (sandals) and linked them too.

Do you own an athleisure skort (a skirt with built-in shorts underneath) in your closet?! I am convinced you need a white one like mine. As a matter of fact I love this so much that I own it in hot pink too. I am in the size Small FYI. I have linked some adorable white skorts on my widget, on the bottom of this post, too.

I am bringing back the Thursday Moda Favorites and today we start off with loose breezy maxis and palazzo pants - both Summer must haves. Check out the best outfits (in my opinion) that linked up last week.
I don't know how Laura manages to look chic and stylish every time in inexpensive clothes by SheIn. This time she wore the most beautiful floral palazzo pants (from them) paired With a Lavender Purse.
I own the baby pink midi version of this gorgeous mustard yellow pleated dress that Moumous is wearing. I wore mine exactly a year ago for my baby shower. She showed us What to Pack for a 1 Week Vacation and I loved her picks.
Claire Justine is dressed to impress and staying breezy in a Heatwave with her linen-blend maxi in a very versatile neutral shade. Love the embroidery and the neckline.
