Thursday Moda #262: Neutral Linen Plaid Shirtdress.

Happy Thursday! How is your week going?! Today I am raving about my outfit because I love it so much, and that's in huge part because of this...

NEUTRAL  LINEN  PLAID  SHIRTDRESS.
There is something so breezy, modern, casual yet polished, easy-going and street style about a neutral shirtdress, especially if it's linen - the ultimate fabric of Summer. This beautiful neutral linen plaid shirtdress is one I acquired this year (and trust me my wardrobe needed it!!) by Loft. It is from their more casual, more relaxed "Lou and Grey" line which as usually runs pretty big and relaxed (size-wise). This dress is so simple but it is its simplicity that makes it versatile, elegant, easy to style, modern and timeless. Plus the linen material in a classic khaki color makes it breathable and totally street-chic! I love the sophisticated shirtdress style with the v-neck and those big tortoise buttons. I paired it with simple and oh-so-chic black quilted slide sandals (also new, from Target). I have a feeling I will be wearing these slides a lot. Since 3 weeks ago when I got them, I have worn them at least half a dozen times. They are the "Ama" slides and they come in an off-white color, too. The neutral woven tote bag with the black faux leather trimming and handle acts as the perfect anchor that ties the dress and the sandals together. This tote bag is also linen and matches perfectly with the dress. It is by Rachel Zoe and it was part of this Summer's Cureatur box by Rachael Zoe. It was a hot day so I opted for simplicity (just like the dress) when it comes to my jewelry: a stack of gold plastic bangles (they are the Budhagirl ones, linked on the widget), my A pave silver pendant necklace and my pearl rosette stud earrings. I wore this outfit to a dinner+movies date a couple of Sundays ago, on a very hot day. The breezy dress kept me comfortable, fresh and airy. There is an overalls option to this lovely dress too which I love and I am linking below. How would you style this Neutral Linen Plaid Shirtdress?! How would you dress it up?! Let me know in the comments. By the way, linking this dress and these slides on the widget, below.

I loved the locations of my photos on this particular day. I match perfectly with the architecturial neutral background (right above) as well as with the gorgeous horse monument (right below). What do you think?!

Last week I shared another cream monochromatic, easy, breezy dress by LOFT which you all loved. Thank you to all of you who linked up. Looks like I am 'having a moment' with plaid/gingham, neutral/khaki looks and easy breezy dresses. Check out these gals in their fine Summery looks.
Darlene showed not one but four ways in 'How to Style a Professional Look for Summer'. All of her outfits were so elegant, she created 4 suit looks. I particularly loved this striped khaki shorts suit and her tote reminds me of my own, from today's post!
Katie surely fooled me with her 'Garden Party' because I totally thought her leaf skirt and plaid blouse was an actual dress featuring two different patterns. The green is exactly the same!
Claire shared beautiful photos and a nice layered look for cooler Summer days, featuring the backdrop of the 'Newark Castle'. Lovely kimono.
My friend Jill rocked a 'Black and White Gingham Dress' combining a tiny scale of the gingham on top with a more classic-size of the effervescent summer pattern, on the bottom. I need those white sandals, Jill!
'Striped Fit+Flare Dress' is always a winner for summertime, especially in the color blue. Amber's darling dress has those crochet shoulders in navy and look another pair of adorable white sandals, today.
