Thursday Moda #238: Shimmer, Tweed, Classic and Edgy.

Good morning ladies. How are you all this week?! We are two weeks away from Christmas, are you all ready for it?! Are you done with your Christmas shopping, half-way done or not even close?! This year I did almost all of my shopping online due to the circumstances. I have been getting packages often and it's exciting but most of them are not for me, I have to remember that lol. Today I got on the cutest outfit I wore yesterday and it is all with pieces I have had in my closet for years with the exception of the tights that were purchased in early Fall. These semi-sheer tights black with the embroidered rose vine design are my favorite tights at the moment. Love them. Oh and before we get to the post and the pictures, do you see a difference with the photos today?! They are taken with my new iPhone, they are sooooo good and no filter or app or editing was done in any of these photos! Amen to that!!

SHIMMER,  TWEED,  CLASSIC  AND  EDGY.

I shopped my closet for this mostly-neutral but fun+festive holiday look featuring black, bronze, brown and gold. This colorblocked shimmery turtleneck sweater from Banana Republic is so good and looks excellent with the tweed mini skirt - with the cutest pockets - from Loft. I added a gifted pearl brooch to the neckline of my sweater and it matched well with my pearl studs and those pearl bracelets. My gold, bronze and leopard accent nails also were the perfect match for this sweater as I am noticing in these photos. And I am glad I added this cute herringbone newsboy cap that paired so well with the skirt. The skirt, sweater and all the pearl jewelry definitely make this outfit timeless and classic. But I edged it up with my floral tights which look like a tattoo design and those fantastic AE black leather combat boots. These boots are so good and I am glad that's the footwear I chose for this look. Also a little edgy and a little glamorous: that mini black+gold sequined clutch from Express I have had for almost a decade. Despite its neutral, monotone colors this outfit is definitely not boring! What this outfit tells me is that a New Outfit + Old Pieces (from my closet) = Fashionable Style Possibilities. A little bit of Parisian vibes, a little bit of edge, a little bit of leg (you guys know I love my short skirts and minis), a little bit of street style, a little bit of timeless tweed and a lot of sparkles but in a subtle way -- make this outfit a winner in my book. What do you think?!

These favorites are from 2 previous Thursday Moda posts. I will feature last week's favorites in a special post next Monday.

'K Mart Short Sleeve Tiered Jersey Midi Dress' and such a cute one at that?! Love how Mica styled this cutie in a bold mustard color. Looks athleisure-chic with the sneakers.
Like I did today, Tiina mixed 'Old and New Favourites' creating a very chic street-style Winter look. In love with the navy windowpane coat.
I love Melissa's beautiful walk-in closet first of all. SIGH! In her blog post, she shared tips about 'How to Get Out of a Quarantine Frump' and she did it ten fold in that stunning two-piece ecru set. Love it with the matchy boots and that stunning mixed colors standout clutch!
Laura mixed Autumn with Winter and a lot of holiday festivity in this 'Burgundy Floral Dress'.
Kathrine is a 'Snakeskin and Suede Sweetheart' in very cozy and totally-chic warm colors. That taupe moto jacket is the bomb!
Her 'Style Sparkles' as always! Grace once again proves to be the best-dressed college girl in her mini corduroy skirt, slouchy sweater and printed booties!
