Thursday Moda #224: THE BEST Olive Utility Dress.

THE  BEST  OLIVE  UTILITY  DRESS.
This is hands-down the BEST Olive Green Utility Dress and it's by Target (from a couple of years ago) and I own it in another color too, like a wine or a magenta. It is made of a breezy, comfortable, breathable jersey material that almost doesn't wrinkle or it is very hard to wrinkle, which makes it perfect for hot Summer days. Furthermore, both this olive dress and its magenta sister will both be great colors to wear and transition into Fall. This dress like I said is made of the kind of jersey that rarely wrinkles; it was packed tight in my dresses' closet and it looks as if you just ironed it. Also this dress has a real drawstring waist which makes it very comfortable and it has pockets! All dresses with pockets are the best, don't you agree?! I am wearing my regular size Small. I wore it a few weeks ago on a Saturday to visit my cousins who became parents for the second time and are now proud parents to a new, healthy baby boy! To visit them I went for a pretty-much-entirely monochromatic look, and chose the suede and metallic leather gold/nude wedge sandals by Anne Klein (I have owned for forever!) Paired with gold and with my redish hair, because olive green is a neutral, this looks definitely monochrome because it is a muted kind of olive which pairs so well with nude, tan or gold, that is why I chose these nude/taupe sunglasses too (my favorite sunnies from Loft)! Later in the evening, for a breezy evening out, I swapped the golden wedges into more comfortable red foam wedge thong sandals. Plus it was July 25th and I tried to keep my "Christmas in July" spirit because July 24th+25th are the ultimate "Christmas in July" days, that is why I wore red and green.

I wanted some of the fun colorful tile bracelets that have been all the rage this last year or two. Well, what do you know, Amazon has some! So I got a set. They came in a set of 4 and I love them, they literally go with everything. To bring out the nude/taupe colors in my outfit I paired them with my leopard leather cuff by Express. On my other wrist I kept with the leopard theme and wore my tortoise leopard set of bangles by American Eagle. And the fun, bold, red glass ring mixed+matched well with my magenta crossbody bag by Rebecca Minkoff. My earrings are blush-pink statement earrings enclustered with crystals and with some fun fringe on the bottom (they are Sugar Fix by BaubleBar). I always believe that your jewelry, accessories and makeup finish up your outfit.

You all loved that gorgeous pleated blouse I wore last week and I agree - it is stunning! Thank you everyone! I also want to thank every fashionista who linked up. There were so many great looks, some Summer and some thinking ahead with transitional Fall Outfits. I saw tie-dye, velvet and leopard in the mix. Plus lots of Bourdeaux shades which are perfect for now or into Fall. And you all know I love a good outfit that features denim shorts!

This week's featured blogger is KATHRINE from Kathrine Eldridge who also happens to be a personal stylist. She lives close to me in Michigan too as this lovely lady blogs from Chicago. Kathrine is such a kind lady, too. What I love about Kathrine's style is the way she puts together her outfits, just like she did here with both of her tie-dye pieces. She pays attention to all the details and always accessorizes with the best purses. Speaking of, she has a great handbag collection - I seriously want every bag she owns! Last week she linked with me two fabulous outfits, one in blue and one in green - totally Summery. Her 'Tie Dye Maxi Dress' was my favorite piece - I cannot believe this stunning piece comes from Amazon and costs 30 bucks! She has the perfect tote bag for it too, love the green mixed with the neutral wickering. But her 'Tie Dye Take Two' featuring the fun unique blue tie-dye joggers is also a fun, modern take on this Summer trend. The tank is nice too. Kathrine created an every day semi-dressy look with athleisure pieces and that is not easy to do.

Lucy advises 'Every Fashionista Should Take Part in Slow Fashion Season' and I agree with her and the outfit she wore. Mixing prints in the same color family transitioning from August into September. The cropped jogger-style dressy pants are gorgeous!
Debbie always manages to mix edgy with bohemian and create the most darling outfits! She is one of my favorite writers too; read her style post where she explains all about 'A Karen in the Wild'. Speaking of wild, I am all for pink leopard!
So glad Ruthie joined my linkup again. She blogged about an 'Onecklace Ring' (I own one too and wore it all last week). But I cannot take my eyes off her wine mauve-ish velvet jumpsuit which will take her into Autumn and the Christmas Holiday Season.
I think Nancy would totally approve with my military olive dress today.  As a designer she knows about 'Fall Color Trend Alert Military Olive'. Love how she layered her own designed pieces.
In a 'Rib Knit Tank Top + Bermuda Shorts', the always elegant Amber proves that no matter how you mix or style them, a pair of blue denim shorts and a white top are always stylish and effortlessly put-together!
If it is Summertime 'What to Wear with a Leopard Print Coat' or any leopard piece for that matter, white is always a great idea. Especially if you throw some classic black in the mix too. Cheryl knows it, looking cool as always!
