Thursday Moda #221: A Mood - Vacation, Riviera, Summer!
Happy Thursday Ladies. This outfit is from this week, just from a couple of days, from this past Tuesday. I was having fun using those daily/diary/everyday mood filters from Instagram as you can see. But I also had fun putting a hat on for the first time this Summer and it looked amazing with a Maxi. This floppy hat is fun! I felt so pretty and elegant in this outfit and a little french too. It definitely has French Riviera Vibes, don't you think?! Ahhh how much I wish I was in Southern France on a beach right now!
A MOOD - VACATION, RIVIERA, SUMMER!
Fashion is what stores, brands and designers sell and create!! Style is making that piece or that particular item of clothing - your own!! Today's Outfit is a Mood! A Tuesday Mood - as I wore it yesterday, on a 77 degree Tuesday - the perfect Summer weather if you ask me! Today's Outfit is a Mood! Yes you got that right - a mood. It makes you want to leave USA for a while and wanderlust for vacation in a far-away country where Covid19 is not spiking up! A plain white t-shirt doesn't have to be boring. And mine - with the crossover across-the-shoulder neckline - definitely is not!! Is it a tank, a tee or a bodysuit? Mine acts as all of the above. It is actually a bodysuit which acts both as a pretty top, a t-shirt and a tank top. And - the best part - it is made of 100% cotton which makes it perfect for Summer and it is ribbed which makes it flattering. It's from Abercrombie+Fitch from last Summer (I am wearing a Medium, their bodysuits run very small) and I originally wore it to our Summer Vacation last year, though I have no pictures of it. Today I decided to go for a neutral, pretty, feminine, sophisticated, ladylike, monochromatic look with pops of bright fuchsia via my silk rosette thong sandals (from DSW) and these beaded tassel earrings that definitely make a statement (they are Sugarfix by BaubleBar). I love the pattern of that soft pink+ivory wicker tote, while the tan+cream floral chiffon maxi skirt is current by American Eagle (I have on the XS). This lovely skirt is more like a midi on me (I am 5.7" and have long legs). And this entire neutral outfit matches the beautiful neutral hydrangeas background of my home. I was out and about to run a few errands and this OOTD got so many compliments! Plus my daughter said "WOW Mommy you look beautiful". My mom loved this outfit too, especially the skirt. What do you think?! Is it something you would wear?! Is it a mood?! Doesn't it make you want to go away to a tropical vacation, somewhere on a beach or on a riviera resort?!
Last week the linkup had such a good participation. Thank you all of you for being a part of it. I had such a hard time choosing favorites. But ultimately frilly polka dots, the color red (of course), denim shorts styled in two very different ways and Californian-inspired looks took my attention. And you loved Vivian and I's ravishing red floral dresses. Thank you.
My Michigan Superwoman Grace hadn't linked with me in a long time but I am so glad she did. First of all I love the sporty Native American vibes she has going on, complete with cute braids. Also, her post about 'Rebuilding a Life After Loss' is definitely worth reading.
My British friend Emma linked not one but two amazing one-sleeve jumpsuits (I almost featured this black beauty today as my favorite - check it out!) but ultimately the stunning red one paired with gorgeous leopard accessories won me over!
Happy Birthday to my fellow Eastern European friend Bojana. She shared 'A Book, Glass of Wine, Friends and Polka Dots' in her latest blog post. Glad she is back at blogging and wearing one of her feminine, put-together outfits. The tiered dotted skirt is darling!
If you want to know 'What to Wear with a Boho Dress' look no further than Cheryl - always a babe looking very put-together while staying cool under the California sun.
Shauna may be a 'Creature of Comfort' but I don't mind it at all. It is good to have a few outfits you can always revisit and go back to. Love that magenta cardigan over her shoulders.
Last but definitely not least, my friend Jill styled 'Cute Flat Sandals for Summer' but it is her button-front little black dress that I found even cuter!
what a great outfit, love that white tee. Hope you and Vivian are having an amazing summer
