Thursday Moda #220: Ravishing Red for Summer Again + a Sunday Evening with Family.
RAVISHING RED FOR SUMMER AGAIN.
4 weeks ago on another Thursday Moda, on one of my collaborations with I shared a Ravishing Red Outfit which was a red floral dress with the most adorable button-front style (by Express). You all loved it too and you loved Vivian's little coral-red dress as well. Well, what do you know?! I am in Ravishing Red for Summer Again. I am in a Red Floral Dress again, this one is from Loft from last Summer and I paid a little under 10 bucks for it, though it was originally $89. This floral piece is in a light chiffon fabric, fully-lined and it kind of has a mohawk hemline as the sides are slightly shorter than the front+back. I love the little smocked neckline with the little neck-tie which you can opt to tie or not. I paired it with Bold Red Flower Studs and a Dainty yet Bold Gold-Toned Chain Necklace both by Loft. My Taupe Sunglasses that I wear all the time and they are one of my favorite pairs ever, are also from Loft. You can always find pretty, well-made, SUV-protected, modern+fun sunglasses at Loft and their sister store Ann Taylor. I have several from these stores. These Criss-Crossed Metallic Rose Gold Slide Sandals by Target (last year) are the best! I think they can even be dressed up. I love that the crossing straps twist within each other. Last but not least, you all loved this Picnic Basket Crossbody Bag I am carrying is also last year from J.Crew and I have linked some similar current basket bags, ditto on gorgeous red floral dresses, similar earrings, sunglasses, gold slides and more. Check out the widget on the bottom of this post. =) Vivian once again is in her Coral-Red Dress printed with adorable musical instruments. This time around, unlike the previous post from a few weeks ago, Viv styled it with her Soft Suede, Perforated Burgundy Oxford Loafers and little White Lace-Trimmed Socks. Her hair is half-way down with a Tulle Pink+Coral Hair Flower Clip (from Albania) which she has had since she was a baby. And, since Vivian is getting tall and this is the second Summer she wears this dress, she has on a pair of biker shorts underneath it.
RED also happens to be my favorite color. I own a lot of red and I wear it a lot. My friend JILL from Doused in Pink featured me on her Thursday Fashion Files last week, in my other Ravishing Red Floral Dress (below).
While French Canadian Blogger LUCY from Lucy Bertoldi as well as Alaskian NICOLE from High Latitude Style featured Vivian+I in our fabulous fancy red dresses (photo below) for their Fabulous Friday and Top of the World Style Linkups respectively. Thank you to all these beautiful ladies for showing me so much love as I wear Ravishing Red. Make sure you join their linkups!
A SUNDAY EVENING WITH FAMILY.
For all of you who follow me on Instagram and who watch my Insta stories you might know that Vivian and I wore our lovely red ravishing patterned dresses this past Sunday on July 12th, when we spent an evening with family: my parents (her grandparents). We all went downtown one of our favorite cities - Milford, MI. Fun Fact about Milford: that was the city where my parents bought their first home in USA. I have many memories growing up there from teens through our twenties, as my parents stayed there close to a decade. Vivian loves her grandparents so much, she is the first-born grandchild in our family. They also love her to pieces, as it shows. I love it - especially in the Summertime - that I get to spend some afternoons and evenings with the three of them (Vivian, mom and dad) as we do dinner al fresco or - like this particular Sunday - coffee and we walk and stroll downtown one of the many cute cities that surround us! We grabbed coffee in one of our favorite local cafes - Proving Grounds. They make yummy coffee drinks and scrumptious unique sandwiches and offer some awesome soft-serve ice-cream too. Also, if you have a pet or a dog they are very pet-friendly, they always have water bowls for your dogs and offer many dog treats. I am all about supporting local businesses and in the last few years, since they opened, we have always supported Proving Grounds every time we go there. Plus they have indoor+outdoor seating. Oh and during these difficult times of COVID-19, it is more important than ever to shop, eat and drink local.
And this week's red does not disappoint- another gorgeous look by mom and adorable daughter:) I love these heart-warming posts about you and your family! Sounds like you are enjoying your summer despite these weird pandemic times. Love the joy in your post! xx
