Thursday Moda #216: Ravishing Red for Summer.
Happiness is addicting. Happiness is beautiful, it makes you look more beautiful on the inside too. Because Happiness comes from inside out! Happiness is sunshine. Happiness is a genuine smile. Happiness is a new, shorter, sassier hairstyle+hair color. Happiness is what I have been feeling lately. Happiness is a Red Dress - the color that makes me the happiest of all! Happiness is Ravishing Red indeed, be it a Fun Little Button-Front Red Floral Dress or a Stunning, Bold, Unique, Eyelet, Red Maxi Skirt. I decided to once again invite MIREILLE of Chez Mireille Fashion to cohost Thursday Moda with me for the second week in a row, did you see us in Cobalt Blue last week?! You liked my look, a lot!
RAVISHING RED FOR SUMMER.
Emma always wears trousers in such a sophisticated way. In 'Soft Grey and Mint Green' she is ready to back into the office in style!
Californian girl Cheryl always looks so cool in neutrals! She went for the same color family in how she styled her 'White Linen Shirtdress' complete with nude elegant Birkenstock Slide Sandals.
Toddler mama Amy tried the latest big trend 'Tie Dye' in a fun navy+nude tee. Love her comfortable light grey sneakers, too.
Perfectly rainbowed for June - the month of LGBT Rights, another Californian girl, Katie wore the most perfect and the most colorful bow-tie confetti midi dress. She is 'Never Fully Dressed but Always Overdressed!'
RAVISHING RED FOR SUMMER.
I took this little red dress for a spin. I have had it since two Summers ago. I love the style so much with the cute little buttons in the front. The dress is by Express and I am in a size Small. I decided to bring out the lavender print from it and wore these light, feather tassel earrings by BaubleBar - they definitely make a statement. Put on my favorite and most comfortable gold sandals by Target which match my gold dainty Vivian necklace to a T. Yeay for a fabulous hair day too! I must say with the red, white and blue colors of this outfit (I am carrying a navy crossbody saddle bag), this is a great outfit, not-in-your face at all, to be patriotic for this upcoming 4th of July, too. Little Viv mixed+matched with mommy in her own adorable coral dress - love the pattern. It is by the Genuine Kids line at Target. The neckline is slightly asymmetrical, too. With her luscious hair down, Viv accessorized with a couple of little bow pins. She is also wearing metallic sandals (hers are silver flip-flop style). Don't all of us look Ravishing Red for Summer?! Make no mistake RED is probably the one color that is fantastic for any occasion, any season, any fabulous event or fun festivities! Or for no reason at all. It is bright, cheerful and beautiful. Red is Happiness!!
From last week where we styled cobalt blue - a hot color for Summer - I noticed a few trends linked up, like slip dresses, neutrals and tie dye. Let's take a peak at the babes below.
Tiina - spotted in 'Statement Sleeves and Birthday Blues'. That is a bold floral on her maxi, love the wrap style. She made it street-chic with sneakers.
My friend Darlene showed '5 Easy Ways to Style a Slip Dress' - they are so in this Summer and hers is in one of the hottest Pantone colors. Stop by her blog to see 2 more ways she styled this one and 2 ways she styled a leopard-printed slip dress.Emma always wears trousers in such a sophisticated way. In 'Soft Grey and Mint Green' she is ready to back into the office in style!

Now join the linkup and make sure you stop by Mireille's blog today to see in better detail how she styled her Red Eyelet Maxi Skirt that I am in love with. She did a great job layering. That is one way to style a light breezy scarf into Summer!
You two are so adorable! The backdrop of the pool really makes the colors pop too! That litle dress is so pretty and your sunglasses just are the perfect accessory: I will have to look at different color lenses next time I need a pair! Thanks again for letting me co host. Finally got the button up on the 2 blog posts. Sorry about the series of email. Brain is slow lately with 2 year old waking me up way to early!
