Thursday Moda #172: Put-Together Mom Athleisure.
You guys I am so tired and sleepy lately. I want to go to bed by 8.30 PM at the latest and sleep for 12 hours straight. Does that happen to you as well?! It could be the change of seasons, the allergies I keep getting on and off, Vivian's change of schedules for school or just being tired from work altogether. No matter what it is, everything else is taking a back-seat. This mama needs some rest. So, lets keep today's Thursday Moda short and sweet and as always thank you for stopping by here and linking up with me every Thursday!
PUT-TOGETHER MOM ATHLEISURE.
On days where it is warm but there is a breeze out, I tend to wear a short-sleeve blouse or top with a skirt or shorts (outside of work I mean). This way I am not freezing on the shade, inside air-conditioned buildings or if a silly rain just starts pouring, and at the same time I am protecting myself from those pesky musquitos. They seem to be everywhere and they love my blood. I have had this Striped Button-Down Old Navy Long-Sleeve Shirt for a couple of years. I love the embroidered bees in it. It is a very light, breezy material and I even wore it with skinny jeans, lately. This time around I went for a Put-Together Mom Athleisure Look, paired with my Button-Front, Knee-Length, Medium Wash Blue Denim Skirt by Loft and these Gorgeous Blush Pink Satin Slip-on Sneakers with crystals and pearls (purchased last year from Target). I wore this outfit just Monday this week for Vivian's Summer School Orientation and I wanted to feel put-together but not overdressed. This worked out great, especially since I dressed it up with these Lavender Flower+Tassels Statement Earrings. I love the mixing of girly pastels between the lavender earrings and the blush pink sneakers. But my Matte Wine Lipgloss and matching Wine Crossbody Mini Bag (also by Target) were the right color pops to this otherwise neutral outfit. What do you think?! What is your mom athleisure look for the Summer?!
Summer is about bright colors, whites, rainbow hues, fun shoes and straw bags and these ladies (below) know it! Check out my favorite beauties from last week. I want every single outfit, thank you!!
Darlene nailed every single Summery outfit she linked up last week. My favorite was the styling of this Romantic Chiffon Top. White and yellow done right in a dressy look for date night or a shower.
Amy also linked a couple of very cute looks for Spring/Summer. But she looks darling in her 'New Dress' from Stitch Fix paired with a straw fedora.
Fellow Michigan Blogger April joined my linkup after quite some time, looking ravishing in 'Petite Friendly Outfits' like the high-waisted taupe trousers paired with a black bustier. Sexy and elegant mama!
No one wears color - all over the rainbow - like Katie. She did it again in this colored geometric-patterned skirt and matchy tassel earrings. 'A Colorful Walk in the Garden' she is!!
Last but not least, beautiful Shauna has the most sophisticated white jumpsuit on. Those Americana Red+White+Blue Earrings are indeed 'Festive Fourth'!
I love the skirt and tennis shoes together. I think it's perfect for a day out and about!

I think anytime we can be comfortable and put together we have a win! I'm so tired too and literally can not keep up. I'm not sure what it is but life is getting hectic lately and I need some major down time!

Aw, Ada, I am loving this cute denim skirt on you! And I hear you on the tired part...except I have been going to bed by 8:30! I don’t know how you do it all especially the single parenting thing. I have been single parenting for the past month and I feel like I could drop over dead from exhaustion. Thankfully, my husband will be home on Saturday and I can rest some.

I slept for 11 hours last week but that was due to working 7 days straight. Plus having a head cold coming on. I love your shoe. I hope you get some rest soon.

Super cute look! Love those fun earrings!
ReplyDeleteThose allergies. Like it wasn't enough, someone just gave a kitten to my daughter of 5 and the poor thing only wants to stay with me and I am so allergic to cat...lol. Get some rest. It is well deserved. I like your skirt.

I think we all get those times where we need some extra sleep. I do love not having to wake up at the break of dawn with my boys to get them on the bus!

I hear you on wanting to sleep for 12 hours—I just started a new job and I'm exhausted! You look very pulled together, though!
