Skirtmas in July, Day 7: 'Sunday Best' Outfits featuring Crane Skirt and #Skirtmas in July Linkup.

Today is day 7th of our #skirtmasinjuly with ELSIE from Polished Whimsy my co-host and collaborator on this series who is also a skirt-wearer aficionado. Elsie loves and wears skirts most of the time and she does an excellent job at it. Well, originally we were going to post today's looks on Sunday but after 6 days straight of posting we decided to take a couple of days off and bring you our Sunday Best Looks today, instead.

For the 7th day of our #skirtmasinjuly series we are featuring our Blue Striped Crane Midi Skirts by Who What Wear (from last year) that we both own and styled them for Sunday Best looks. So, between Elsie's Outfit and mine we got a lot of your Sunday Best looks covered. Our outfits can be worn to church, Sunday brunch, a bridal or baby shower, dinner, Mother's Day (we are both moms) or any other Sunday event. But you can also wear them to work on a Monday and feel+look like a million bucks! As a matter of fact I am wearing this identical outfit to work on Monday, except with much more comfortable red pumps, instead. Today, as well as the next two Tuesdays of July, we are also doing a skirt-themed linkup. Also, follow us along with the #skirtmasinjuly hashtag on Instagram.

HOW  I  STYLED  MY  STRIPED  CRANE  MIDI  SKIRT.
Can you believe it that I have owned this skirt for close to a year and I am just wearing it now?! Actually this Blue Crane Midi Skirt was what inspired this skirt series with Elsie. She wore it a couple of weeks ago and featured it on Instagram stories and she reminded me that I own it too and need to wear it ASAP. So I dug my closet for it, found it and finally I made my wish of doing a fun skirt collaboration with Elsie, a reality. It was a given that we would style this lovely skirt together since we both own it. I knew automatically I'd pair it with a Pretty Red Blouse because I love red and blue together. But, I also went for these colors in honor of the World Cup Finals which was perfect since they were on a Sunday (this past Sunday July 15th) and this is my Sunday Best Look. France's colors were Blue (with white) and Croatia's colors were Red (with white). France won by a score of 4 to 2 and it was a fantastic, edge-of-the-seat game. I preferred for France to have won which they did but I wouldn't mind Croatia winning, either. They have had a flawless World Cup. And now in 2022 World Cup is coming to America!

I have had this Silk Chiffon Mock-Neck Blouse by Bebe for years. It is my Favorite Red Top (and I own many red tops). It is super light but I love all the smocking from the bottom of the chest all the way down, as well as the mock neckline. It makes the bust area look even more feminine and pretty and I love that the front chest area is covered with 3D Rosettes, such a beautiful and feminine detail, sexy too but not in a vulgar way. You can wear it with either a nude bra underneath it or to keep it more demure wear a nude camisole, too. But this blouse is meant for girls who wear at least a 34B or 36B cup. It has a bubble style up top and it is not for flat-chested girls. I went for some Smoking Hot Statement Heels as these Pom Pom Red Suede Stilettos certainly are so and they matched the blouse beautifully. But these stilettos are so high, with thin and uncomfortable heels. You can wear them to church since you will be mostly sat down or a shower but if you have to walk a lot, opt for more comfortable shoes. I call these gorgeous heels my "sit down shoes" lol. They are stunning yes and make a statement but you couldn't walk more than 30 minutes in them. Certainly not in our very slippery cement floors at work. I actually wore this identical outfit (except I added a nude cami underneath) to work yesterday on Monday and paired it with my Red Suede Pumps instead. The outfit got many compliments. Someone told me I need to be working in the Fashion world in NYC and that is a huge compliment!! I brought out the blue of the skirt with my Patent Leather Foldover Teal Clutch by Old Navy (it has more blue undertones than green). But it was so hot when I took these photos so I kept my jewelry minimalistic and went for Feathered Pave Blush Pink Statement Earrings by Loft and a Simple Blush Pink Shiny Plastic Spring Bracelet by Francesca's (that I could later use to tie my hair if I got too hot). My Blush Pink Sunglasses are by Loft too. I can always count on Loft for beautiful, modern, trendy or classic, well-made sunnies. What do you think of this outfit?! I loved it and so did both Elsie and my co-workers!

HOW  TO  STYLE  AN  A-LINE  MIDI  SKIRT  FOR  SUNDAY  BEST.
When wearing a Midi Skirt whether patterned, solid, stripes, floral or a bird print like ours, think of a pretty blouse on top, a button-down shirt or even with a tee tucked in. Girly tees and Graphic T-Shirts look great with Flowy, A-Line Midi Skirts. The two balance themselves out: the dressy, elegant, feminine midi skirt flows well with a casual, simple t-shirt! My tip in styling a Patterned Midi Skirt for Sunday Best is to go with a Nice Blouse on top and as far as shoes choose Ballet Flats, Stilettos/Heels, Wedge Sandals or Pumps. Depending on the occasion you can carry a Mini Crossbody Bag, a Little Satchel or a Clutch and I would do some Statement Earrings too and a Bright Lipstick.

For reference I am wearing my normal Who What Wear size which is Small in the skirt, the Bebe top is also a size Small.
