Thursday Moda #21 and All American Blue Denim.

Welcome to another Thursday Moda. Hope the first half of your week has gone off nicely, so far. Today's Co-Host is LEE from Wine and Couture. You might remember her co-hosting with me once before, a few months ago, when we both styled Peach Tops and that was one of my Most Favorite Outfits of this entire year, also. Well today, we are all about Blue Denim and All American Looks. I am wearing Navy Lace Shorts with a Stars+Striped Red Graphic Tee and a Patchwork Denim Jacket on top, while Lee styled Blue Denim Shorts with a Sophisticated Cream Blouse. Between both of us we got the colors of America - Red, White and Blue - covered. We even wore Neutral Sandals (just like we wore back then, when we collaborated). Great minds think alike, no?!

Lee has been blogging for the same amount of years as I have (4+) and she has fabulous style. From office-chic and elegant, to casual, easy and bohemian she does it all. She has had some great changes going on in her life lately: a new job, a new awesome haircut and even celebrated her 12-year Wedding Anniversary, so go check out her blog and see what she is all about.

In case my outfit today looks familiar that is for two reasons: 1} you got a sneak peak of this Patriotic Outfit on my wordless 4th of July post and 2} just last week on Thursday Moda I had another All American Outfit featuring Navy Shorts and a Red Striped Tank. Today I have on Dressy Navy Shorts that are Satin on the back and in a Crochet Lace on the front. I got them on final sale at the end of the Summer last year at The Limited. They ended up being around 9 bucks but were originally priced at $69.00. I paired them with a new Stars+Stripes, Red+Pink T-Shirt and wore my Patchwork Blue Denim Jacket over it since it was a cool evening, a little under 70 degrees. Nothing says All American like Blue Denim especially when paired with red and better yet with stripes and stars, like I did here. That awesome t-shirt is courtesy of a local boutique here in Michigan, named "American Flair". My Hot Pink Bag brings out the Pink from the Graphic Tee and I did accessorize with a Bold Large-Beaded Long Necklace which I layered with my Dainty Rose Gold Kendra Scott Necklace. Added a few Bracelets and Fun Rings and my Rose Quartz Kendra Scott Dangly Earrings and chose Cognac Shoes on purpose not to be too matchy-matchy. And this Denim Jacket, it has been in my closet since around 2002. On Tuesday's post if you remember I shared another All American Blue Denim Post featuring a Denim Shirtdress from Gap which I have had for 10 years. Well my Denim Jacket today is also 'vintage' Gap because Gap always rocks when it comes to denim. The entire back has different patches of silk shantung swatches, a couple of which are in Chinese motif patterns. I must say I love that the jacket adds some flair to this otherwise simple shorts+tee outfit. And it was perfectly patriotic to wear for the first day of July (which I did) anticipating Independence Day. =)
