Currently: March 2016.

March is officially the first month of Spring (only two weeks away) and it is also a long month. It is the month where I have a lot of shopping in my mind (as my post today, clearly testifies to this), but also a month where I think of Spring cleaning, closet organizing, down-sizing what I have, etc. Once again, I will be joining the Currently (March) Link-up with Anne and Jenna. So, check out what I am up to this month.

wishing: that it was warm enough so I could wear Pretty Spring Flats and Pretty NEW Spring Clothes. My collection of Flats (above) has expanded a lot this past month. These are all new flats that I found and bought which were very reasonably-priced. And clearly I am loving Ghillie or Lace-up Flats this season and wouldn't mind another pair. Look for cute flats and other adorable Spring Shoes for reasonable prices at places like Target and Charlotte Russe where most of my new flats (first photo above) come from. Speaking of Target I am loving the new DV (Dolce Vita) collaboration which has amazing Shoes and Handbags. I am wish-listing this pair of flatsthis saddle bagthis rose gold, metallic mini crossbodythese laceup stiletto booties, this fringe bucket bag (love!!), these wedge sandalsthis ethnic-print clutchthese espadrille sandalsthis rose quartz mini satchel and these open toe fringe booties. As you know I already own this pair of flats which I wore with my new navy camo wrap skirt this week. Target in general has many fun, on trend, and pretty well-made (for the price) shoes. I have loved their Sam & Libby line the last few years. I am wishing for these gorgeous metallic t-strap pumpsthese sexy+classy black stilettosthese silver pointy ballet flatsthese leopard sneakers (love!!), these neutral color-blocked sandals and this pair of pewter booties. Clearly I have LOTS of shoes (new shoes!!) in mind this March. No surprise there since I have always been a shoe lover.

Like I said, I am also wishing it was warm enough to feel like Spring so I can wear all my new clothes. Besides new shoes, I have also added adorable Spring additions to my Spring+Summer wardrobe from Old Navy, both for Vivian and I (photo above; Vivian's items on the left and mine on the right). I may or may have not bought 5-6 new dresses and rompers for her and 5-6 new dresses and rompers/jumpsuits for me. Also, they currently have the cutest, on-trend Sunglasses which are pretty sturdy, well-made and with 100% UV protection, for a great price. Old Navy has cute graphic tees too, especially for kids. I bought several for Vivian. But unlike their adult sizes, their baby and toddler sizes run quite small. Vivian is tiny at only about 25 lbs. and I still bought almost everything at a size 4T (rather than a 3T) for her. Here are some of the items I have recently added to my closet from there for myself: this chambray romper, this geo-pattern peplum camisolethis navy floral jumpsuitthis cami dress in red+white floral, this preppy plaid romper, and this chambray peplum tank; and for Vivian this Summery spaghetti-strap dressthis open-back blue floral dressthis patterned chambray shirt-dressthis black floral swing dress, these baby pink ballet flatsthis aztec-print romper and this this cami dress in navy+white floral (to match mommy). As you can see Vivian and I are ready for Easter and quite ready for Spring. Now, Spring and warm sunshine needs to get here ASAP because we are ready. Cannot wait for us to wear and style these new items and do a lot of Mommy+Toddler Style Posts together.

craving: food-wise I am craving a big, juicy cheeseburger. I am thinking a fatty hamburger in a yummy bun, with swiss, mozarella and provolone cheese, some bacon, a juicy slice of tomato, crispy lettuce, a slice of raw red onion and a grilled yummy portobello mushroom on top, served with some wedge fried potatoes. My mouth is watering as I type this. Style-wise (you know me, I always have clothes in my mind lol) I am craving both of these gorgeous Spring-forward Outfits from Banana Republic (above). I want it all from the amazing stiletto shoes each outfit has, the chambray skirt which is darling, the striped top, the perfect white blouse and of course the classic neutral trench-coat. It doesn't get better than these pieces when it comes to easy and elegant early Spring styling. These are the types of chic outfits that can take me (or you) to work, a lunch date, a dinner date, a wedding shower or even to church on Easter Sunday.

going: I wish I were going somewhere right now. I wish I were going somewhere warm. Actually, I have always wanted to visit the beautiful city of New Orleans. I have heard great things about this fun city and its amazing sights, unique culture and great food. I wish I was hoping on a plane and heading to New Orleans, right now. However, I am hoping sometime this Spring we make it to Toronto (Canada) or Chicago (Illinois) at least for a two-day trip. These are both two great, lively cities that I have been to several times but that I absolutely love. Ohh and I would totally pack every piece from those Banana Republic outfits and wear them for some sight-seeing, lunch and shopping.

wearing: I am currently wearing my new distressed light-wash denim from Target. I wore them 3 days in a row. (Photo on the left with the leopard booties is from yesterday and the one on the right with the red ghillie flats is from today).

learning: how to better manage my time. I have been so bad lately about writing in my planner. My planner has almost not been used in three weeks and that sucks. That is because the last 3 weeks I have been so busy. And I have managed to do it all without any planner. But I am currently learning how to be more proficient with my time and how to work with a schedule (and I don't just mean my work schedule). Speaking of schedules, I always feel better when I schedule posts ahead for the blog. I am learning how to do that more.

Also, since this is my 4th year of blogging regularly, I decided to do a "Throw-back Currently" prompt every time I do these currently posts. I will link up to two different years of what I was currently wearing/doing back then.

Currently 2012 (photo above): Thinking Spring Green in honor of St. Patrick's Day. I have always loved to have and own a new Trench Coat each Spring and of course every closet needs at least one bright trench.

Currently 2014 (photo above): Two years ago around this time I did some crazy shopping also. New blouses, new sweaters and sweatshirts, 2 work dresses, 2 pairs of cargo/utility pants and lots of little accessories entered my closet. I even thrifted a couple of pieces.

  1. Love your spring flats, especially the red ones! March is a great time to buy new spring staples, but to also purge your closet of things you're not going to wear and to do some spring cleaning. I hope you have a wonderful week Ada!

Those red lace up shoes are so pretty! I have been thinking of doing some Spring shopping too for me AND the kids. The kids need new Spring clothes more then me, though! I hope to hit the outlets.

  10. I am actually trying to hold back in shopping.
I have so much stuff (although I am pretty sure you have 4 times that !)
Currently I am focusing on editing my closet and am awed at finding garments that have not been worn in at least 5 years....
