Budget Babes, Spring Trends 2015 - Floral Dresses.
Welcome to Friday and it is a very budget-friendly Friday. Today is the fifth week I pair up with RACHEL from Garay Treasures and MARIA from Not Fancy Just Life. This week we are styling a Spring Essential - a Floral Dress, (not necessarily a Spring Trend since Floral Dresses are always in). I insisted on leaving this trend this week since this is my Birthday week and all. I started the week in a Pretty Floral Dress and it is only fitting to end it with another Pretty Floral Dress. And just like my Dress from my Birthday on Monday, this is another gorgeous find from Lord and Taylor.
OK, this is by far my most favorite look of this series. Not only because it is a week when we style Dresses but because of how pretty, feminine and stylish all three of us look. Love this collage full of flowers and bright colors. Maria and Rachel's Dresses are both gorgeous and they each layered on top with a Cardigan and a Knotted Chambray, exactly. They also both chose Pretty, Colorful Statement Necklaces. And speaking of Birthdays (earlier on), I can see both of these Pretty and Feminine Outfits as great Birthday Outfits, too. I let my Dress speak for itself - no layering. Maria and I both have on Beige Peep-toes, though. You can see the details of Rachel's Outfit here and of Maria's Outfit here. The best part is that these 3 head to toe looks were under 75 bucks and I am glad to say I came quite a bit under budget.
I wore this beauty yesterday and yes it is warm enough here to go bare-legged, open-toed and with short sleeves or no sleeves (finally). It ended up being a Great Outfit for work and a little later for appetizers and some cold drinks on a patio. But this dress would be great to wear for a Mother's Day Brunch, Lunch or Dinner, also. I received many compliments on this Floral Peplum Satin Dress which is another great find from Lord and Taylor from last month. I bought it as an early gift from me to me. The original price was $89 but I got it for $19 which is a savings of 80%. My Beautiful, Glass-Beaded, Maroon Necklace was purchased at a street vendor in Italy years ago for 6 bucks but I see these necklaces retail from $40 to $70. I have seen identical or very similar ones at Macy's, Nordstrom and elsewhere for those prices. The Polka-Dotted, Beige, Peep-Toe little Wedges I purchased 3 Summers ago on sale for about $24 and they have been one of my best purchases ever. Last but not least I added a Glass/Crystal, Blue Beaded Bracelet which was $3 and an Orange Lipstick. The grand total for today is 52 bucks which is $23 below budget. Besides, it is such a feminine, elegant, pretty and colorful Spring Look that I loved. I hope you do as well. Linked below I found similar dresses to mine, also.
It is all about the little details:
My dress has Purple, Lime Green and Orange Flowers on a White Background. For a little pattern-mixing and some matching colors I added these Polka Dot Peep Toe Wedges which have white, orange and green dots. If you look closely in my Necklace, the smaller beads are a dark teal/blue color with maroon polka dots.
White/Purple/Lime/Orange, Peplum Satin Dress w/ Cap Sleeves (comes w/ Skinny Gold Belt): Allen B. (Lord & Taylor) (New) (gorgeous, over-the-shoulder option, great deal, love this), (similar w/ pink+red roses by H&M, best deal, love this), (gorgeous, strapless, dressy/evening option by Asos, fantastic deal, love this), (classy, in black+white floral by Ralph Lauren, on sale).
Maroon & Teal Polka-Dotted, Glass-Beaded Long Necklace: From Italy (Handmade) (gorgeous dainty option by Kendra Scott, great deal, love this), (tassel option by Dorothy Perkins, best deal, love this), (similar by Chaps, on sale).
Blue Crystal, Beaded, 4-strand Bracelet w/ Large Crystal Ball hanging: Viggos (similar by Swarovski, best deal), (gorgeous option by Carolee, great deal), (similar cuff by Swarovski, love this).
Beige, Peep-Toe Wedges w/ Different Colorful Dots: Il Cammino (similar espadrille wedges w/ tiny dots by Ralph Lauren, best deal, love these), (similar w/ multi-colored dots in heel version), (gorgeous option in black+white by Isaac Mizrahi, fantastic deal, love these), (high heel, retro option in red w/ white dots, love these).
