Budget Babes, Spring Trends 2015 - Pastels.
Happy Friday you all? Aren't you TGIF? I am. It is our Easter Weekend for us this weekend and I am contemplating what to wear for church. We might take some Family Photos too, that day. Any ideas, suggestions on what to wear and be coordinated with Vivian and the Husband, also?
Today I am joined by two Budget-conscious Fashionistas: RACHEL from Garay Treasures and MARIA from Not Fancy, Just Life. Well, I too am a budget-conscious lady when it comes to fashion and what I buy in general (even if it doesn't involve clothes or accessories). Last Summer, Maria and I did this series where we featured head to toe looks wearing Summer Trends and the entire look costed 75 bucks or less. You can find all those posts here. This year we asked our friend Rachel to join us and since we are in the season of Spring, we are featuring Spring Trends where each one of our outfits costs 75$ or less (not including wedding/engagement rings). We will style a different Spring Trend each week starting today so stop by for the next 6 weeks or so on Fridays, to see what we come up with and show you all that looking good doesn't have to cost a month's rent/mortgage or more.

From first glance I can tell that all 3 of us had Light Pastel Skinny Pants in our minds. Maria's and Rachel's Pastel Pants are both in a very soft Baby Pink while mine are Mint. They both mixed the Pants with other similar Pastel Colors while I stayed all Minty today. Check out their blogs to see their outfits in detail and read how much they spent.
OK, so I went for a Monochromatic head-to-toe look here. Both my Skinny Jeans and Sweater are a Pastel Mint. I scored them for a great deal during a crazy sale at Zara, just recently. The Jeans were 10 bucks and the Sweater was 8 bucks. The jeans are a size too big for me and they get loose as you wear them but I am willing to shrink them, belt them and basically make them work. They are only big on the waist. I belted them and they fit just fine. My Pretty Turquoise Smoking Loafers were 15 bucks and they are real Suede Leather, guys (plus they are so sooo pretty). My Small Bubble Necklace was 14 bucks. I hadn't worn one of my Bubble Necklaces in forever but this Aqua/Teal one worked perfectly here. I am wearing a Bracelet from WHBM which was 10 bucks, a Bow Ponytail Holder (worn as a Bracelet) I paid 50 cents for and my Pastel Pink 360 Bobble Studs I paid 2 bucks for. In total this Outfit costed me $59.50. Not too shabby right, including several accessories in that price also. I loved this head to toe Monochrome Look. I had never done a head to toe Mint Outfit before but I am thinking it won't be the last time. What do you think? The Top 10 items I remixed here are two: the Mint Sweater and the Turquoise Smoking Flats.
Light Mint, Soft, 3/4 Sleeve Sweater: Zara (New) (very similar, on sale, love this), (similar, Splurge), (gorgeous option, best deal, love this).
Light Mint Skinny Jeans: Zara (New) (very similar by CJ, Splurge), (very similar by Dex, Steal, love these), (similar, "The Rockstar" by Old Navy, love these), (roll-cuff option by JC Penney's, best deal, love these).
Teal/Mint Small Bubble Necklace: Apartment 9 (Kohl's), (same necklace in ombre pastel colors, for a Steal, love this), (same necklace in coral red, love this), (very similar in mint, great deal, love this), (dainty bubble option in teal, w/ real gems, Splurge, love this).
Baby Pink, Plastic, Double-sided, Bobble Earrings: An Accessories Boutique (New) (gorgeous, rose gold pave option, on sale, love these), (similar, set of 3 metallic pairs including rose gold, best deal), (gorgeous rose gold cube+pave option, great deal, love these).
Black Rope Bracelet w/ Smoke Stone & 2 small Crystal Stones off the side: White House Black Market (similar, best deal), (similar w/ pave purple fireball, great deal, love this), (gorgeous nautical option, Splurge).
Pink Bow Hair Tie w/ White Polka Dots: Random Street Vendor.
Turquoise Suede Smoking Loafer w/ Gold Leather Tassels & Piping: Caterina Firenze (New) (very similar, Splurge), (Oxford option by Halogen, great deal, love this), (Moccasin option by Minnetonka, best deal, love these).

What a fun idea for a challenge. It makes me wonder about the average cost of my daily outfits. Hmmm, something to keep in mind. I'm loving your outfit since I can't get enough of mint lately! Happy Easter to you and your family!

What a cute idea and collab! I do not know Maria, but I love Rachel's blog. I have some mint skinnies and I have totally forgotten about them over the winter... now I need to get them out of the closet again! The pink tie bracelet is cute. How fun that you all have pastel pants on.
