Blue and Black Bargains.
I hope your Friday starts off right and begins a weekend full of Sunshine and Spring because today is the first day of Spring and it sure feels like Spring in my city, today. After a chilly and rainy day yesterday that Vivian and I both spent at home in our pajamas, I am ready to wear something Springy and light for when I go teaching, today. Also, the Outfit I am showing on the blog today is perfect to celebrate Spring. It was worn like 10 days ago but we did have some nice and warm Spring-like days last week and I seized the moment.
First off, I like not having to wear socks and tights. That is what real Spring should be about. I am wearing my Marled Joggers for the second time on the blog (though I have worn them a couple of other times and haven't blogged them). This time I paired them with my Blue Buffalo Plaid Shirt and my Black+Blue Oxford Shoes which were a perfect match for this Outfit. I added shades of red via my drop earrings, ruby heart necklace and lipstick. Since this Outfit feels Springy, I am wearing no Coat and Joggers as well as Joggers and Oxford Shoes continue to be huge trends this Spring 2015, I am linking up with Lana because today the "Style Me Bloggers" is all about Spring Trends, the Do and the Don't. I happen to think Joggers, Oxford Shoes and Buffalo Plaid are all a DO especially when styled right.
I also want to touch on another subject: getting things on sale, even the latest styles and trends. The third Thursday Threads this week is about A Favorite Sale Item, so I am linking up with Bri Marie. Well, I buy almost everything on sale or clearance, with promo or coupon codes and such. Case in point, this Outfit. It features 3 very Favorite Pieces in my wardrobe. The Marled Joggers I paid 25$ for (10$ off with a 20% sale & a coupon code), the Blue Buffalo Shirt I paid 10$ for (saved 20 bucks from the original price) and the Oxford Shoes which are from 3 years ago I got for 25$ (50% off the original price). Considering that My Wedding Rings, Ruby+Diamond Necklace and Earrings I am wearing were all gifted to me this Outfit ended up being 60 bucks total. Not too shabby considering all of these pieces fit my life-style, my body and are all current, stylish options.
You will be seeing a lot more very Affordable Outfits like this one, this upcoming Spring. Have you purchased some Spring 2015 Trends on sale, lately? The Budget Babes will be back with some Stylish Spring Outfits, starting April 10th. And, next week or so I am challenging myself to wear an Outfit that is mostly thrifted. So stay tuned and as always thank you for reading, ladies. =)
