Colorblocked Wrap Dress.
Hello All and Happy Wednesday!! It is almost noon and I got to start getting ready for work, here, soon, but I have a few minutes from home and decided to post an outfit, for now. Meanwhile my TV is turned on to a daily TV show where they are talking about taking care of your hair, especially since it has gotten so much damage, tear and wear out of the hot months of the summer. Thank God my hair in general is good and it doesn't require a lot of High Maintenance. On the flip side, I am not good about styling my hair either. But it's a good thing that when you have long hair, you can get away with simple buns, ponytails or just brush it back and add a cute headband and you are set to go. =)
The dress I am wearing today I have had for several years. It's a really light cotton knit, such a comfortable and easy material to wear for summer. I wore it once towards June but forgot to photograph it and then one day my sister-in-law stopped by and borrowed 3 dresses from me and this was one of them. She loved it. It fit her better than me, since she is more curvy and a little bigger. I finally got it back for her and figured it would be a great dress for me to wear now that I have a baby bump. It has a very comfortable flowing skirt after all. I love the mix of the two different greens (one is more teal) with the brown. These are great colors to wear for Fall too, so I will be wearing this dress come Fall as well. I paired it with a periwinkle/purple tank underneath (it needs a layering piece since it's really open on top). Ohhh and I am not wearing any makeup in these photos. Especially during the hot month of August, I have gone makeup-free a lot of times. Another thing missing here is accessories. When it is 90 degrees out, you want to be as comfy as possible.

What a great find from Forever 21! Forever 21 really surprises sometimes with really great items like your dress. The colors are gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteI know: Forever 21 is the definition of Hit or Miss. This dress shocked me too and I love its below-the-knee length, too. Also, it's a nice light cotton knit and the shape is great for my pregnancy. =) Thanks H&K.
DeleteGreat dress, and it works perfectly as a maternity dress too, with its nice easy shape. You look so happy!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I agree, it's a real nice dress, love the syle, colors and especially its shape - definitely not something you could find any day at Forever 21. And yes, it works for pregnant bellies, LOL.
DeleteLoving the colorblocking and it looks very comfy too!

Yes, this dress feels like tissue, very comfy indeed. =)
DeleteAmazing dress. It really pops in these photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot. I love the color-blocking and flowiness to it (if that is even a word). LOL
DeleteI love this skirt. The bright lining is a nice tease when you move. It's on my list so I am pleased to see it sewn up.
ReplyDeletewrap around dresses
Thanks. It is not lined. Just that the dress has three different colors.
DeleteHow cute is that dress. LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteOhhh thanks a lot honey. =)
