Black, White and Blue Denim.

I hope you all enjoyed a rich and yummy Thanksgiving Dinner with those nearest and dearest to you! Were any of you brave enough to shop last night or this morning or are you even shopping today? Not me. But, it was nice that yesterday I woke up to a snow-free ground. Yes, all 10 inches of snow (from last Saturday) melted away. Our temps reached as high as 57 degrees, yesterday.

Anyway, I bring you an Outfit which would have been totally fine for our Thanksgiving Dinner (over my aunt's) last night. As a matter of fact I ended up wearing a very similar look, which I will share on the blog next week. This, however, I wore last Thursday for a general well visit with Vivian's pediatrician and to have her flu shots done. We went to McDonald's afterwards and got our 2 favorites: French fries for her and a Vanilla ice cream cone for me.
I am wearing mostly new things today. I introduce you to my second Poncho Cardigan, but I have a feeling it won't be my last lol. This Red Buffalo Plaid one with Fringed hem comes from none other than Wal Mart. It is pretty and well-made too. The Leopard Booties with chunky heels are also new (from Target). The Jeans and Tassel Bracelets are pretty new too but I have also shared them on the blog before. I had never paired Leopard with a Red+Black Plaid before but count me in as a fan. And those wooden beads - they are cool no? Well, since tomorrow is Albania's Independence Day and a National Holiday, I suit right in with Albania's colors which are Red+Black. A little patriotism and a little fashion go a long way. So, are you a fan of mixing Leopard with Red+Black Plaid? I think one print needs to be in a smaller dose than the other and they should be far enough from each-other in the look, that's why it works, here.

"Two Tassels for Me" Set of 2 Tassel+Beaded Bracelets in Burnt Orange and Turquoise: Pumps & Pushups (New) (similar w/ wooden beads, Splurge), (similar chain option, comes in several colors, great deal, love this), (gorgeous option in lilac, best deal).

What Thanksgiving Means to Me.

Happy Thanksgiving Eve! Hard to believe that this month will leave us in just a few short days and the 40 days of Christmas (season) start tomorrow. Today, like many of you I wanted to focus on the positive, despite all the negative, crimes, tears and terrorism that surround this world, unfortunately.

First of all I want to Thank each and everyone of you that take your time to stop by my blog, whether you browse, simply look at the photos, admire or hate the outfits (cause they are not all winners, I am the first to admit it), comment, compliment, read or not. Thanks especially to all of you who read and follow this little blog of mine and also take your time to e-mail me every now and then. Thank you to all my blogging friends who make blogging for me even more fun and to all the bloggers I have had the pleasure and fun to collaborate with in the past and to those whom I will collaborate with in the near future. Thank you to all the brands and companies that have trusted me with their products and their image. Thank you to everyone who makes a stop by Elegance and Mommyhood daily, bi-weekly, weekly, monthly or whenever you can. I have a couple of fun giveaways planned for December as my Thank you to you! And speaking of giveaways, my Firmo Giveaway for a free pair of glasses ends at 11.59 PM tomorrow on Thanksgiving. You can still enter it, here. Thank you to you all - I cannot say it enough!

On a personal note and most importantly I am thankful for a lot more things but I broke them down for you, just below.

T - Tirana, the capital of Albania, the city I met my husband at and fell in love with; the city where Vivian was born; the city I called home for 4 years.
H - Home, because home is where the heart is. Whether I am in Europe or America, despite what continent or corner of the world I am at, as long as the people who mean the most to me, as long as Vivian is with me, I am happy.
A - Angels, all of my deceased grandparents who are the beautiful angels who look down on me, protect me and smile at me.
N - November, the month of giving thanks; my favorite month for Fall; the month we remind ourselves that having a rich turkey dinner to eat and a roof over our heads is a lot more than what so many others have.
K - Korca, my birth-town; that little city in Albania where I spent the first 16-17 years of my life at and I will always look back with the fondest of memories.
S - Stefani, my mother; the beautiful, gracious, big-hearted, kind, soft, fantastic, amazing woman who birthed me, raised me, cared for me, loved me and educated me and for that I am so blessed and lucky because she is one fantastic woman and the best grandma to my daughter.
G - God; without God nothing is possible and to Him I am thankful for everything I have and all that I am.
I - Ilir, my brother; I am so proud to call him my brother. He is selfless, generous, kind, loving, funny, hard-working, and the most wonderful uncle to Vivian (you should see him with my daughter; her face lights up when she sees her uncle Ilir).
V - Vivian, my daughter. This doesn't need much explanation at all but I am a better person because of Vivian. She is my light, my love, my heart, my world, my everything. I am so blessed and happy that she is my beautiful daughter.
I - Immersed; I am thankful for all the beauty of the season that surrounds me and all the giving and generosity from almost everyone that has immersed me. I am feeling the Holiday Spirit. I am feeling the love. I am feeling Thanksgiving and I am feeling Christmas.
N - Nineteen; my daughter was born on January 19th of 2013 so ever since number nineteen means so much to me and every month when the 19th rolls over, in my heart I celebrate yet another month of Vivian's life and how much she means to me.
G - Gifts and by that I mean my Family because they are my biggest gift, both my immediate and my non-immediate family. These people are my gifts; these people have always been loving, caring and supportive to me since the day I was born. And speaking of gifts they have always showered Vivian with so much love and so many gifts, too.

I wanted to wrap it up with this quote below by John Kennedy because it is 100% how I feel, too.

What are you thankful for this Fall 2015? What are your plans for tomorrow? What about this Black Friday? I will be back with a couple of Fashion posts this weekend. I wish you all a Good Night and a Very Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving!!

50 Tastes of Wine and a Blogger's Gift Exchange.

50 tastes of Wine?! OK, it is more like 5 tastes of wine but you get my drift. We will get to this cute Thanksgiving-ready outfit in a moment but first let's talk about a Gift Exchange or a Bloggers' Swap.

And today I am wearing one of the items from the Swap I did with my blogging friend CARRIE from Curly Crafty Mom. I am wearing the Burgundy Infinity Knit Scarf, which you have seen a couple of times before, on this blog. Carrie is a very talented DIY-er and crafter. I loved her Hot Pink Tassel and Beaded Necklace she made for herself a few months ago. I wanted one for myself. So, we came up with a Gift Exchange idea. She would make me a couple of these Gorgeous Hand-made Tassel Necklaces (and include a couple more things) and I would pick out a few gifts (I did mostly jewelry, as well as a scarf and a flower pin) for her, in exchange. The anticipation was fun and the thought that went behind our gifts was nice, too. Carrie styled a few of my items today on her post, so make sure to check out her cute outfit. Have you ever done a Swap or Gift Exchange with another blogger? Would you ever do one?

Staying true to the name of her blog and her Crafty Artistic Self, Carrie sent me 4 items she made herself as well as this Knitted Infinity Burgundy Scarf she had purchased at Target. She also got me a Fall Craft Toy for Vivian (not pictured, because I couldn't find it).
These were the 2 Tassel Necklaces that Carrie made for me. I will be showing the Pink Tassel one worn in my outfit, tomorrow. While the Turquoise one has already made an appearance on my blog a couple of times  (here and here). Better yet both of these tassel necklaces will mix+match very well with my new tassel bracelets I got from Pumps & Pushups.

Besides making pretty jewelry, Carrie is the queen of monogramming. She has so many beautiful monogrammed items in her home. She made me two monogram cocktail glasses in gold letters. One of them has cursive letters and the other has print letters. I, of course put them into good use. I am using one of them in my bathroom to store some makeup such as lipsticks, eye pencils and lipglosses, while the other is sitting pretty on top of an armoire and it stores it some of my daughter's bows and hair barrettes.

Last but not least, this Infinity Burgundy Knitted Scarf was a gift that Carrie purchased from me at Target and I love it. I have also worn this Burgundy Scarf before (here and here) and at least 2-3 other times, not shown on the blog. This time around I styled the Scarf as a Vest which I have done before with Infinity Scarves. I am wearing a lot of Wine or Burgundy, from the lightest shade (my shoes and necklace) to the darkest (my leggings). This Outfit is perfect to wear for Thanksgiving Dinner and I am actually thinking of wearing a very similar one. It is pretty casual yet still a little dressy. I definitely look like I made an effort. This Tunic Tee which is white with burgundy stripes and burgundy pannels on the shoulders is very, very comfortable (perfect for stuffing yourself for Thanksgiving). It is a Boyfriend fit so it definitely fits loose (I am wearing an XS). It is a pretty recent purchase from Old Navy. I paired it with my Oxblood/Wine Leggings, Velvet Rose-Patterned Mules, the Infinity Scarf-as-Vest and a Faux Fur Black+Leopard Hat. I happen to love Burgundy with Leopard. Also, the black part of the hat matches those black faux leather pannels on my leggings. I dressed it up with a Bold Bauble Necklace, a Gorgeous Crystal Cuff, a Silver-Embellished Quilted Purse and some silver Hoops, (all these accessories besides the necklace are by White House Black Market). It ended up being such a Chic Look that received questions as in "Where did I get that?!" and compliments. I ended up loving this Monochromatic Wine Look and all the textures.

The Accessories:

And in case you are wondering, below are the items I got for Carrie. Carrie loves gold-tone jewelry so I got her 3 gold-tone necklaces: a long one with druzy stones, a vine necklace with an amber stone and a dainty necklace with a boy+girl charm (for her kids). I also got her a faux python teal watch, a faux python burgundy bracelet, silver hoops with turquoise stones, beaded burgundy dangly earrings, a gold silky rose pin/brooch, an eggplant-purple pashmina scarf and a little coral bow for her daughter Autumn. I think Carrie liked most of these items and she has already worn some of them. This gift exchange was such a great idea and I am open to do this again in the future, with another blogger.

Flashback Friday (or Saturday Morning): Casual Thanksgiving Outfits.

First off, I want to start by saying that it is currently snowing. It is snowing tonight as I am typing this, and it will snow almost all day tomorrow - our first snow of the season. I see a white coating out there. I love snow (I will probably say I hate it once New Year's is over LOL). This first snow makes even more sense now that I started decorating for Christmas. On Wednesday I put up the first Christmas Tree (our smallest one) and a few Christmas decorations at home. I did decorate the fireplace and mantle area, too.

I showed you a Casual Thanksgiving Look the other day. Today I am looking back at a few outfits which would be great for a Casual Thanksgiving Dinner, also to run last-minute errands during the day/early afternoon, before the big turkey dinner with stuffing and all the trimmings. Most of these outfits were not worn for Thanksgiving but around that time of the year and more. I believe all of them would make great Casual Thanksgiving Outfits. Let's take a look down memory lane, shall we?

What a simple yet chic look, slightly dressed up yet pretty casual. I love this Soft, Light Pink Sweater. It has a Silk Panel on the upper back part. Dark Indigo, Ankle-Zipper Skinnies look more polished with this Light Pink Sweater and the Green Accents. I am wearing my Green/Teal Small Bubble Necklace (which I miss wearing), Kelly Green Pointy Leather Flats and (if you look at the original link) I also have on a Green+Red Floral Scarf and a Sweatshirt-material Olive Moto Jacket.

I, like most of us fashion bloggers, love Plaid. I am known to wear Plaid for Thanksgiving especially. And, for some reason I love Magentas and Purples for Thanksgiving too. They add a huge color splash and make the look more festive. Here I paired one of my Portofino by Express Shirts with a Navy Plaid Skirt and I even added this Magenta+Black Light Plaid Scarf for when I felt a little chilly.

Black Leggings are an MVP in my closet, but when paired with a Silver Lamb-Wool Tunic Sweater that has a Sequined Large Leaf (embellished) and a Gorgeous Reversible (Polka Dot) Brown/Tan Pashmina Shawl, this outfit screams Fall and says Casual Turkey Dinner. It is plenty casual yet looks polished. And those Ruched Camel Boots with studs match the scarf quite perfectly.

I have loved these Skinny Cargo Olive Pants - Olive Green is a favorite color of mine for Fall. For a pre-Thanksgiving Dinner at our home I paired them with my Pointy Kelly Green Leather Flats (again), a Matchy Ombre Green+Gold Bauble Necklace and a Boat-Neck Tan-Striped Sweater. I am even sitting by our Fall-decorated Fireplace.

Another Light Pink Sweater, one of the first few cardigans I have ever bought (about 15 years ago, but I still own it). This cardigan from The Limited is in a light silk blend. I layered it with a Light Coral Button-Down Shirt to polish this Jeans+Cardigan Look and also fancied up with a Statement Necklace and with some Bling on my fingers and my wrists. I am also wearing the Purple Suede Peep-Toe Wedges I recently wore with my Striped Cowl-neck Dress. Also, if you look at the original post I wore my Navy Puffer Vest - the first Puffer Vest I have bought and still own. Lots of old goodies here.

This might be my most favorite outfit from this bunch. It is casual yet it has elegant luxe touches with all the fur. I tucked in Blue Jeans into Brown Wedge Fur Boots, wore a Graphic-Patterned Bustier and layered with a Tan/Nude Faux Fur Shrug. I also wore some Silver Hoops and the Clutch I am carrying is casual enough and ties in the colors of the outfit.

Mixing Magenta and Fuchsia with these Indigo Skinny Jeans (again). I love the look of Navy+Fuchsia. They are not necessarily Fall Colors but they do add some oomph for Thanksgiving. This Casual Outfit looks a little dressier since I layered the Button-Down underneath a Tee, added a Statement Necklace and kept warm but poped a style element via this Wool Beret Beanie. And BTW I wore this exact plaid shirt for Thanksgiving last year, but in a slightly dressier outfit.

This is quite Dressy yet feels Casual. Champagne Color (with pops of Silver) for Thanksgiving?! Sure, why not. The Floral Skinny Pants and this Shimmery Sweater with embellished silver shoulders are meant to be together. I added some Fun, Fancy Silver Jewelry (Leaf Necklace and Matchy Earrings) and my Olive Oxford Booties and I felt comfortable, pretty and nicely dressed.

This monochromatic Black Outfit is perfect for Thanksgiving Dinner and so on trend for Fall-Winter 2015. This Tunic Poncho Sweater is comfortable, can hide food babies and it looks great, especially with these Faux Leather+Ponte Leggings. I just added some Pink+Silver via my Watch and Bracelet.

I definitely recommend pairing a Chambray Shirt with a Blanket Scarf and adding a Skirt to dress up the chambray+blanket scarf look, for Thanksgiving. This Orange Mini Ponte Skirt by Zara is definitely dressy enough and the bright color is wonderful for a Holiday event. Of course the Burberry Blanket Scarf matched it perfectly. And I am subtly mixing Polka Dots, Plaid and Paisley here. Keeping the look casual enough is good to wear Flats, like I did here with Oxford Shoes.

I have worn this for an early November gathering with friends (almost a Friends-giving) a couple of years ago. I had a baby who I was breast-feeding back then so comfort was key. This Sweater Vest is very on trend for 2015 still. I layered it with a Red Gingham Shirt for a little preppy look. I also added Indigo Blue Flare Jeans - also very on trend for 2015.

One last post with an outfit suited for Thanksgiving Dinner (and for work, prior that week), also one of my favorites outfits in this post, as an option to wear on Thanksgiving. A Sleeveless Jersey LBD gets layered up with a Red Buffalo Plaid Button-down and Camel Accessories. I love how the Camel/Brown Accessories are in three different shades from lightest to darkest. Also check out how I styled this dress  6 ways for late Autumn or Winter.

So which are your three favorite looks from above? Would you wear any of these for Thanksgiving?
Better yet, what do you have planned this weekend prior to Thanksgiving? Is it snowing over there?
My Firmoo Giveaway is going on and is still good until the end of the day on Thanksgiving, next week, so be sure to enter it.
Stay tuned for a great week of posts next week, starting with a Dressy option for Thanksgiving Dinner Outfit.
Thank you. =))
