Skirtmas in July: The RUFFLE Skirt. Plus Linkup.
I didn't mean for the SKIRTMAS IN JULY series to continue through August, let alone mid to late August, but here we are. I am truly sorry for the radio silence and sudden disconnection from the blog but I have had so much going on. So many things happening at once and taking care of personal things, my family, my health, day-to-day life and such. This is the 11th outfit in this series. There will be 2 more looks including one inspired by Mireille and 1 recap, so a total of 4 posts including this one but everything will be posted by August 28th - that I promise. I want to thank my collaborator MIREILLE for continuing with the series and our Sunday Showcase through my misses and mishaps. Speaking of Mireille, she looks adorable in her striped+floral, blue+yellow outfit with the most adorable Ruffled Skirt. It's amazing that she created a new look - and such an adorable one at that - by simply shopping her closet. Meanwhile...
THE RUFFLE SKIRT.
Oh how much I love my ruffle skirt. This is a Tabitha Brown skirt. It is from her Spring-Summer 2022 collab with Target and it is the only piece I purchased from the collection but I truly love it so much, so glad I bought it. First of all the colors with the purple-blue background and the vibrant, bright, tropical leafy-floral print is amazing. Of course I LOVE the tiered ruffles and the midi length. But the material is a light+airy poplin cotton which is perfect for the warm months. Speaking of Target, they had the best sandals this Summer. This orange+tan woven pair in the mule style with the block heels is from Target and they are cute and unique, quite comfy too. This beautiful skirt paired so well with this ribbed knit bustier-style olive green top by Express and I belted it all with a tan woven belt by Amazon that perfectly matched my Loft sunglasses. I added some colorful beaded bracelets and a pair of sky blue metallic flower statement earrings by the SugarFix by BaubleBar line at Target. Last, I have on a big barrette encrusted in a multitude of colorful stones and lots of jewel hues. I mixed+matched lots of colors in this look and they all come together in this barrette.
