Thursday Moda #270: Holiday Home Tour 2021, Part 1.

Good Morning to all, we are only 3 days away from CHRISTMAS (only 2 days by the time you read this post).I have slacked a lot on mposting and running my Thursday Moda Linkup this year because I have focused on my family, furnishing and decorating our new place, my health, spending time with my loved ones and such. But besides this one there will be at least 2 more new posts (possibly 3) for this December 2021 and I will pick up things a little in the new year.

With that said, this year has been flying by. I cannot believe I am writing my Holiday Home Tour post. This is one of my most favorite posts to write in the year, also one of the most time-consuming ones. This year we have a new home too and I tried to make it cozy so it feels like our home, till we build our dream home!! You can see the Christmas Spirit everywhere. As a matter of fact, I am doing 2 parts to the Home Tour because altogether is too many pictures, as you all know I am crazy when it comes to Christmas and decorate A LOT!! This year I am focusing on the first level of our home and sharing areas like our living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway and guest bathroom. I am also joined by my friend MIREILLE of Chez Mireille Fashion in co-hosting today's Thursday Moda - it's #270 too, can you believe that?! She is also sharing her own home and how it is decorated for Christmas so make sure you stop by there, also.

THE  LIVING  ROOM.
I love the coffee table decor with all these green trees inside the tray with some wooden beads. The twinkling lights (operated by a battery) and little mint candle add to the cozy and festive vibes.
This the main wreath and the one I made myself this year and I am so proud of it. I love the placement of the twigs, wooden pieces and pine cones. The gorgeous big bow made of different festive ribbons in classic Christmas colors can be removed, so next year I can put a different bow if I want. I love this wreath so much. This one greets the guests, all the postmen and delivery people lol as it is on the outside door of our home.
A little decor on our wine and bar cart: a couple of snow globes, a little home, a big silver reindeer and that neutral metal tree on top. I also filled one of the cognac glasses with neutral-colored sparkly mini glass ornaments and one of the liquor bottles is wearing a Santa red coat. I ended up moving the "HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS" sign and put it on the other side of the mantle where the Christmas tree is.
This porcelain large bowl is on the bottom of the coffee table, filled with some woodsy neutral pieces and these clear ornaments filled with colorful pom-poms. All these pom pom ornaments were made by my daughter Vivian this year, and all the products came from the dollar store.
The living room is the hub and main area of our decor. It is where we spend most of our time, where we want to be warm and comfortable. This year I added a lot of new decorations, mostly pillows and some new wreaths. Almost everything is from Target - they have the best Christmas decor. This year I decorated with a lot of adorable Christmas pillows. There are a lot on our couches, some on the bottom of the tree, those 2 wooden ratan buckets also - one has Christmas pillows and one has blankets and throws. All of our bedrooms upstairs are decorated with a lot of cozy, festive pillows too. The adorable basket with the countdown cubes is from Target. It is so adorable, Vivian loved switching the numbers each morning as we counted down to Christmas. It was a steal at 10 bucks and I am even gifting one to my cousin. I also decorated with a lot of warm lights and twinkle lights and lots of candles too. I love all the Wintery smells and the lights and candles lit look so gorgeous in the evening! The bar cart/wine holder got a little bit of decor too as did the sides of our TV mantle with the faux but pretty fireplace. I placed a snow-tipped garland by the mantle to which I added soft twinkling lights and those bronze ornament lights as well as 3 gold geometric ornaments.

THE  MAIN  CHRISTMAS  TREE.
This is a new tree this year. It's a 6.5" flocked tree by Wal Mart -it was a steal too under $100. It is so well made, with beautiful thick branches and lots of flocking. Looks so expensive and it is such great quality. I don't have a theme per say on the tree this year, but it is mostly in gold and pink with touches of red. The main ball ornaments are these big gold sparkly ones by Target and the pink (about 100mm size ones) beaded+sequined ones also by Target. There are also other balls in red, white and green with little bows on top. But rather than these balls, the rest are all unique whimsical ornaments. I have lots of birds all dressed up in Winter gear, tea cups and pots, coffee and food ornaments, giraffes, animal ballerinas, food trucks such as ice cream, taco and hot dog trucks (they are all pink felt ornaments by Target), gorgeous silver anchor ornaments, other animals like reindeer, butterflies and a hedgehog ornament too. There are 4 gorgeous silver leather poinsettias, a huge sparkly beaded bird placed on top of the tree, etc. The rest is all of our new personalized ornaments for this year. I decided for a pretty blush, gold and pink sparkly ribbon bow on top and on the bottom of the tree I did something I haven't done before, no tree skirt or tree collar, I placed a couple of red festive embroidered pillows instead and added our family of snowmen on the bottom of the tree, and the "Home for the Holidays" framed art.

THE  HALLWAY.
This mini silver tinsel tree by Wal Mart is on the hallway. I added simple pink, rose gold, white and bronze ornaments to it with an ivory woven star on top. I love the bottom of the tree decor with that simple gold sequined mini tree skirt (by Target). The little wreath on top of it is by Target, I added the sparkly red bow to it.
This little console table/mini desk got festive too with some red poinsettias, ombre pink brush trees in the middle of a 'puddle' of mini glass ornaments placed on that owl bronze glass tray, a little white sherpa mini tree by Target, a silver reindeer and a little candle. I have had those festive "Peace Joy Noel" pillows forever.

THE  DINING  ROOM.

This area has decor on the dining room table and the little side table. It was all about adding neutrals on my Christmas-tree embroidered table runner. I decorated with a mini flocked green tree, a little evergreen flocked faux plant, a wooden tree - I love it - and another flocked woven tree plus a couple of sparkly gold+silver reindeer and a pine-smelling candle. That garland made of faux fur balls is my favorite piece and it's by Kirklands. On the side table I did a mini Christmas village with those gorgeous pink houses with the frosten snow on top, some candles and a bowl of earth-colored ornaments with snowflakes on the bottom. My favorite thing here is the mini ornament tree hanger with a red and a green ornament, one with my initial and one with his. I love these initial ornaments, I got one as a gift for a friend and one for Vivian for her tree, too.

THE  KITCHEN.
I decorated my kitchen in red and white as you can tell. I normally do an entire post on my coffee/hot cocoa bar but I don't have the time to do that this year. As you see in the kitchen, it's all about the coffee area with all the gorgeous Christmas mugs - all by Target. The clear glass canister has coffee, the red one has tea. Not to be missed the red+white candy cane spoon holder and I have all of my mini coffee Christmas spoons in there (with handles such as a stocking, a star, a snowman and a santa - 2 of each). On the other side of this counter I have my utensils and cookie canister with a little matching candle. The snowman tin box has all the Christmas cookie cutters inside for when we will bake Christmas cookies (we always do it on Christmas Eve and leave some out for Santa, too). I also decorated the top tier of my fruit tiered tray/basket with a few Christmas/wintery decorations. And of course my kitchen is filled with lots of decorative towels. Not to be missed the little signs and the Joy soap dispenser that matches the Joy rug and the Joy hand towel in the coffee area.

THE  GUEST  BATHROOM.

I loved decorating my bathroomS this year, especially this bathroom that the guests use. I did reds and whites here with my festive towels, soap dispenser, red rug, little birds, the gold tinsel mini brush tree and the red tinsel Merry Christmas sign. FELIZ NAVIDAD!!

MIREILLE'S   CHRISTMAS  HOME  DECOR.
Look at that pretty tree filled with beautiful hand-made ornaments and so many memories. Her presents are wrapped so pretty too. I love pretty ornaments on the bottom of the tree. I love all the nooks and areas where Mireille added decor, as you can see from her photos. And we have that same white bird that she added to her tiered tray (it is on my tree with my other many birds). Like me, Mireille loves adding ball ornaments to bowls and jars too.

ONE  FINAL  LOOK  AT  MY CHRISTMAS  HOME  DECOR.
Sweet Vivian posing in front of the hallway little tree in the festive red plaid dress she wore sometime last week when they had their school Christmas party. I love her sequined red+green festive bow too. I shopped 3 Etsy boutiques for all her holiday bows, this year - some as gifts to my nieces, too.
And just like that there are only 2 days left till Christmas and I still have to wrap all of my gifts. Hope you enjoyed my Holiday Home Tour today. Stop by to see Mireille's too.
