Love, an Inspiring Notion - Poetry. Plus Linkup.

Sharing a poetry I just wrote. Why do us poets get inspired from love so much?! Love is so many things that's why. It is the biggest emotion and the utmost feeling that consumes everyone, isn't it?! Well, let's read the poem and let me know what you think.

LOVE, AN  INSPIRING  NOTION  -  POETRY.

(March 23rd 2021, 7.40 P.M. Eastern Time.)

Love, an emotion filled with lust and devotion,

a cluster whole of feelings poured into a cup,

an emblem of luck, or a shamrock of distrust?!

Love, a bird that flies free on the blue sky, above all the green,

a little butterfly that left the caterpillar to shine,

it was once a baby, it grew, and then it died...

It died like the leaves from Autumn into Winter,

once green, yellow, orange, rust and then no longer,

it died like the ice cream that melted before it was consumed,

under the sun... where the sprinkles fizzled away and boom...,

it died like the stars that wrap up the dawn after a long night,

like memories that hurt, fade away and take a flight...

It died, it disappeared, it became dust, foam, soap scum,

it was once written in a letter, it hid under a rose, a plant,

it bloomed where it needed to bloom and then it died,

no water that could heal it, wake it up, revive it...,

burns that left marks, bruises that didn't recognize curing,

pains that continued to hurt despite the red healing...

Love, an emotion filled with lust and devotion,

a big shell that was once empty and then it filled up,

an inspiring notion for which us poets continue to write...
