Thursday Moda #227: Silk Saffron Midi Skirt for Early Fall.

Fall has been knocking at our doors here in Michigan since the very first day of September - no joke. Too early for temperatures as low as 45 degrees. But we have also had highs of 78 degrees. Mornings and evenings are not just cool, but quite chilly. Lunchtime and early afternoon it gets a lot warmer, therefore layering plays a big role in getting dressed. You all know I love my skirts and dresses though, so I will make the most of my Summer skirts+dresses and get away with not wearing leggings or tights underneath them, for as long as I can. That is why I chose this silky saffron midi skirt by Loft with the high slit off one side, adding a little bit of sex appeal as it shows the right amount of thigh.

SILK  SAFFRON  MIDI  SKIRT  FOR  FALL.
You first saw this silk saffron midi skirt (wow that is quite a mouthful!) on yesterday's Instagram post where I collaborated for "Wear it Wednesday" with a few other Instagram bloggers. Our theme - skirts. This was an easy one for me because everyone that knows my style well, knows that I am a huge fan of skirts and dresses especially for spring and summertime. This sunflower yellow skirt by Loft has such a delicate, dainty and pretty vine design - which is a great print for Fall. It is the perfect piece to transition into Fall. I layered it with the coolest  denim jacket by Revolve, love that embroidered back - it's a designer piece - over a chocolate brown knit camisole/tank top by White House Black Market and I piled on the jewelry for a recent weekend date night. F.Y.I. These are not the most flattering pictures as they were taken after a full meal, complete with several drinks and dessert so I look bloated and big in areas where I shouldn't lol, but it's OK every human being is FLAWED. Keeping it real, over here!! I do love the end results of this look overall, though. What about you?!

One thing I love is jewelry. Since this was a fun date night look, I decided to go for a lot of jewelry. I piled it all on. I am wearing the most fun, unique gold-tone earrings featuring lavender, baby blue and cream beads, these statement earrings are like mini chandeliers and they are from Express. I layered two necklaces, my gold A monogram necklace by Amazon and my multi-colored pave horseshoe necklace by The Lucky Brand. My gorgeous rose gold quartz wrap bracelet was gifted to me by a friend this Summer and I haven't taken it off my hand since. I have on a cute triangle yellow-stone ring by Old Navy too which matched the skirt beautifully. For an additional pop of color, I am carrying a Red Patent Leather Clutch by Express.

Thank you to everyone who joined my linkup last week, you particularly loved how I styled my striped jersey cotton dress into Fall and loved my blue hat. I saw so many of you link several outfits from these last days of Summer, some awesome in-between looks and also layers for early Fall. I saw lots and lots of blue and so many adorable monochromatic looks mixing shades of the same colors and even prints in the same color family. A couple of new faces in my favorites this week, too. =)

This week's featured blogger is this beautiful, tall Russian lady, TATIANA from My Fab Fifties who never ever disappoints, because she always looks divine and puts together fantastic outfits whether casual, dressy or in between. This time she joined my linkup with 'One Dress, Seven Outfits' and yes she did style this gorgeous yellow+cream plaid maxi dress seven ways. But the two outfits that I especially liked are the ones with the cropped little scoop-neck cream cardigan over it, that stunning wicker bucket bag and sandals in a matching shade of bronze. As well as the outfit with her denim jacket for which she chose a fabulous hobo tote that matched the blue of her denim. Very well done Tatiana! Such a versatile statement maxi dress! She also looks so so good for being in her 50s!!

My friend Shelbee killed it in mixed florals and mixing her beautiful shades of eggplant purple. Her 'End of Summer Style' is so on point. It is girly and bohemian, too.
Ellibelle makes an appearance in my favorites looking office-ready in her blues. Linking 'A Monochromatic Outfit in Blue' she was smart to say farewell to Summer because blue to me is the ultimate Summer color! Love that vibrant cobalt bag!
Moumous always looks so posh and elegant! In her post she featured her 'Fall Wardrobe Essentials 2020' and I am in love with that cascading peplum blue jacket, it is stunning!
My friend Amy loves pink and I love that she chose pale pink skinny jeans to pair with that stunning flower-embroidered tunic. This outfit she shared was from the 'First Week of September' and it's so cute.
Jess wore my favorite color of this season - rust or like a brick red, which is between a wine red and a cognac. This in-between time of the year is for 'Styling a Spring Sleeveless Dress for Fall' which she did perfectly in her monochrome look.
For the first time Imogen made it to my Thursday Moda favorites, in this unique and very pretty colorblocked dress with the asymmetric overlay. Her blog 'Inside Out Style is 12' and she celebrated with a makeover and a stunning portrait drawing of this exact outfit which I loved!

You look great and I love that you ended up using pictures regardless of the fact that you feel that they aren't your best. You look happy and carefree and also summery. Love the yellow.
