Thursday Moda #218: Americana Blue Denim.

And just like that June is over and we are officially half-way through 2020 - better that way. And I never say that about any year, but this is not just any year. This is 2020 and it came with a bang: a world pandemic, unjust killings from the hands of cops, protests, racism, conspiracy theories, huge unemployment, quarantine, home schooling for the entire nation - you name it! But I am sure for a lot of us this has been a great year too, at least on a personal level. I know for me this year - the year I turned 40 - will be a year I will never, ever forget. As if?! With June ending and this being the 4th of July week, I figured I would start wearing some 4th of July-inspired Americana Looks. Starting with this one I wore on Tuesday this week...

AMERICANA  BLUE  DENIM.
And you know what says Summer Americana in a very patriotic yet subtle way?! Blue Denim bottoms paired with white+red stripes that say "Summer on My Mind". My adorable button-front denim skirt which is classic and oh-so-American but also a piece you would see in Europe, Canada, Asia, South America, Australia - you name it! - looks great and very patriotic paired with this striped red+white muscle tank top. Both pieces are from Loft from two summers ago and I love them both. I love the writing on this tank and I plan to wear it more this Summer, ditto on that adorable classy blue denim skirt - it has the perfect medium wash blue color and the perfect length! Plus denim skirts are so in these last couple of years. Honestly denim skirts were never not stylish, just they got upgraded and many brands and designers redesigned them. A few fun rings and colorful bracelets on each hand, plus a pair of drop turquoise earrings to accessorize this look. And I added my trusted-for-comfort gold sandals. The results?! A Cute Outfit!! I love that I looked put-together for a busy mom and woman-on-the-go on a day I had to run errands and comfort was key! Have you been wearing your Americana Stripes with Blue Denim this week?! What do you plan on wearing on the 4th?!

Thank you so much for all your kinds compliments last week on my special "What to Wear to a Summer Wedding" post. You loved my Little Red Dress and how I looked in it. Thank you so very very much. Thank you to all of you who joined my lovely linkup too. I noticed so many pretty dresses. The "name of the game" this week, as far as my favorites go, are Little White Dresses. As a matter of fact I have to wear one of my own LWDs, soon. Check these beauties out!

Leelo's dress is in a crisp mellow yellow color, featuring what she calls a 'Hole Embroidered' pattern. It looks perfect for a mom with a little one (like her), very street-chic too with those slip-on sneakers.
Her 'Caite+Kyla Sundress & Lace Kimono' are totally right up Debbie's style. She is perfectly Summer, Bohemian and oh-so-pretty! Shades of rose blush and light green look so beautiful together!
I love a good Mommy+Daughter Outfit post. Iris and her gorgeous little girls are little princesses in their matchy white dresses with pretty, bright embroidered flowers. In this post she also shared 'Fun Summer Activities' to do with the kids during Covid - check them out!
Nicole did a post about 'All You Need to Know about Pearls' and she styled a pair of classic pearl studs with a floral sheath and a little Spring jacket (well Summer for her since she lives in Alaska). Love how her pearls matched with those ivory pumps.
Celebrating in style for 'A Holiday Week' is French Canadian Lucy. How stunning is her blue floral midi dress?! Happy Canada Day to you!!
Carrie did a review of her '2020 FABFITFUN Summer Box' and shared some of the cute accessories over an adorable strapless white dress.
