Thursday Moda #160: Spring Vibes for Work.
I cannot believe it is March 28th and not only is this month almost over, but so is one quarter of 2019. Plus, I'd like to think Spring is on its way for sure. This week for example our temps were in the mid 40s for a high and as high as 53 degrees, today. I have been wearing more cheerful colors, some of my fun patterned pants (like today), my most colorful sunglasses and of course lots of gorgeous statement earrings. I could use one or two new bags for Spring/Summer though. I'd like something neutral like cognac and something in a fun color like a light pink or a medium shade of pink. Today, I for sure have the...
SPRING VIBES FOR WORK.
Add a touch of mocha, a bright splash of banana yellow and a streamlined modern pattern like windowpane, with some go-with-everything, totally-ready-for-Spring Nude Pumps and out comes an outfit perfect for Spring. And with this mix of unusual colors, I must say a totally-chic work-wear look was created. The split-neck Mellow Yellow Popover Blouse is by The Limited, the little Rust/Mocha Blazer is thrifted but it was brand-new and it is Calvin Klein, my Ankle-Length Black+White Windowpane Poplin Pants are by H+M as are those Nude Faux Suede Pointy Pumps (both are very well made and great for the price). I reached for a Bright Icy Pink Lipstick and a Blush Lipgloss over it as I like more pink lipsticks as we head into Spring. But I kept my jewelry simple and dainty. The 3-stranded Necklace with black beads and a few little pearls is one of my favorites I own. It goes with everything and I have had it forever. It is by White House Black Market and those Circle Cubic Zirconia Little Studs are by H+M, but you can find studs like these everywhere, from the most expensive ones to as little as $2.90 at Forever 21. I have a few stretchy blush/nude/brown bracelets on my wrist too which matched the outfit perfectly! And this is the second week in a row on Thursday Moda, where I blog Dressy Windowpane Print Pants (worn to work). Can you feel the Spring Vibes in this outfit?! How do you like the rust color paired with light yellow and black?! I happen to love it!
Last week you absolutely LOVED my other pair of Windowpane Pants which I also paired with a blouse, for another super-chic work look. I had a hard time choosing favorites as usual, but ultimately I narrowed it down to the following ladies below. I have been on a pants kick lately so no wonder I was attracted to lots of outfits featuring pants. And I can see at least one vibrant color on each of the outfits below. Yeay for Spring!
This week's featured blogger is my dear and longest blogging friend LORENA from My Every Day Wear, a beautiful professional woman from a warm country who always puts together very versatile, totally-chic, easy-to-wear looks and many great street-style outfits. Both of these two outfits I featured have pretty cap-sleeve blouse - perfect for Spring as a work piece to layer with - neutral metallic flats, the same oversized pewter leather tote and some classic oversized black sunglasses. Lorena is always known for wearing chic black sunnies. Whether it is a Toggle Clasp or a little bit of Peplum, Lorena nailed both of these work outfits. They may be simple but they still are colorful and very elegant. I love the fun aqua leopard pattern on her top paired with the white slacks and on her second outfit that scrunched midi skirt is a classy and feminine piece. Lorena has been blogging probably for longer than I have and I 'met' her through blogging in my early days, 7 years ago. We have both stuck it through, still supporting each-other. Lorena almost came to visit me in Albania too where I lived there for some time, a few years ago. Lorena is a bargain hunter and is so good about always getting rid of stuff in her closet, especially as she makes room for new pieces. I love her and her blog. She is a doll. Go check her out!
Making a 'Comeback' my fellow Michigan friend Chanda blogged again after a long time and put together this amazing transitional outfit in white and light pink - a color combination I adore and wear a lot, myself.
I love a good mommy+me post especially when it comes to matching outfits and the lovely Kileen with her adorable daughter did a 'Swimsuits Try-On Haul' and these striped one-pieces with the watermelon print was hands down my favorite. I also love their sunnies and Kileen's tote.
My fabulous friend Kellyann always looks splendid in hot neon pink. Love her trapeze dress, but on this post she focused on her 'Feet' wearing cute and super comfortable new mauve sandals by Jambu.
A pant-lover like myself, the lovely Jill found the most amazing 'Striped Paper Bag Pants' and I love that color which is like a spicy mustard. Also her mules are cool!
Alicia makes an impact in a super fun 'Spring Hat' despite wearing a very simple but totally chic casual look. I love the light bamboo feel of that hat and the chocolate shade. Great knit v-neck tank, too.
Nora, the fabulous designer and wearer of her own clothes is on 'Spring 2019 Color Trend Alert Yellow' and by looking at my outfit today you know I agree. The bold stripes on that blazer make an impact and I love its length too. Also, that neck scarf was a great add-on.
This is such a pretty spring combo! I love your windowpane pants and the color of your blazer! Thank you so much for the feature Ada!

I love the unusual color of the blazer, what a great find!!! I would totally wear an outfit like this to work. Also, I am wishing/needing a nude pair of pumps but can't find them anywhere locally. It's ridiculous.

ReplyDeleteYour trousers would probably match a blazer I have in window pane print too ! I think they would make a great suit together.

ReplyDeleteNeat and well covered attire like this is perfect to step out for your job rather than wearing something that is clumsy.
