The Sunday Showcase Linkup, January 2019: Office Look Featuring Black Ankle Pants.
Once again, Happy January and Happy New Year 2019! This is the first Outfit Post of this new year and I wanted to be a great outfit, so I chose a Work Outfit. This Outfit in real life was worn in October (can you tell from the mum-mums?! LOL) but never shared on the blog. I decided to post it today because I wanted to start the day with a bang, therefore I chose one of my most Office Looks worn last year. Truth be told, this year on the blog and on my Instagram I want to show a lot of work-chic, office-ready looks. These looks are grouped into 3 major categories: cropped pants+trousers, pencil skirts+mini skirts and sheaths+work dresses. Today I am wearing one of my favorite pairs of cropped pants - these Black Jacquard Cropped Pants by White House Black Market. It is also the very first Sunday of the month, therefore I am co-hosting our Monthly "The Sunday Showcase" with these beauties: KELLYANN from This Blonde's Shopping Bag and CHRISSY from Granola and Grace and we welcome you to join our linkup, at the very bottom of this post. Make sure you check out the ladies' posts too. Chrissy wrote the most beautiful, most humble post about time and the year that was, while Kellyann shares her love for on-trend white booties and styles the most perfect street-chic outfit wearing them!
OFFICE LOOK FEATURING BLACK ANKLE PANTS.
If you don't own a pair of black ankle pants I suggest you buy some. You can find good ones at places like Banana Republic, J. Crew, White House Black Market (like mine), the Pixie Pants by Old Navy, Ann Taylor, Loft and I also love the Liz Claiborne one (from JC Penney's). They are the ultimate work pant that can be styled a million ways. I decided to do a mostly black+white look with mine since I paired them with a White Floral Ruffled Blouse (by Ann Taylor), a Spotted B+W Wallet Clutch (by Forever 21) and a Collarless Light Ponte Mellow Yellow Blazer (from Sears). But there is a touch of yellow on the flowers of my blouse which made the addition of the mellow yellow blazer even more stylish. I have actually worn this Blazer to work (and beyond) at least 3 or 4 times last year and plan on wearing it again, this year. I added a couple of Colorful Beaded Bracelets and these tiny Oval Peach Pave Studs (from Wal Mart). For shoes, I wore my Pointy, Suede Nude Pumps (by H+M) that go with everything. So, how do I styled my Black Ankle Pants for the office?! Do you own a similar pair of your own?!
I always love choosing any linkup's favorite outfits, but at the same time it is always so hard to narrow it down. The super-stylish Jess linked several outfits last month and I could have easily showcased ANY of them but ultimately, I loved this Camel+Leopard Layered Pants Look with her adorable Rothys flats. The touches of leopard with the amazing plaid blazer were lovely. Even Kellyann featured another outfit of Jess'. I also loved Angela's Peachy Floral Bohemian Dress paired with a gorgeous 3-tone faux fur stole. And my dear mama-bear friend Stephanie styled Dressy Grey Joggers in a super chic and modern way with a pair of trendy white booties and ever-versatile black moto jacket.
Happy New Year Ada!!! I do love those pants, I think a jacquard print is so versatile and just adds something a little special!
