"Skirting the Rules" Linkup: Styling Skirts for New Year's Eve.

Merry Christmas to all. Our presents are open but we have yet to sit around the table and enjoy our Christmas Dinner which we do on the 25th. Thank you to all of you who stopped by my blog yesterday and saw the special post I did with Vivian in our XMas PJs. Thank you for all the sweet comments and happy wishes! My little girl opened her 5-6 presents from us but I am sure she has more coming as my entire family spoils her (always!). Today however I am back with the last Tuesday of the month's "Skirting the Rules" Collaboration that I do with my friend ELSIE from Polished Whimsy and we are both wearing skirts obviously and sharing two options to wear for New Year's Eve coming up. Both our outfits are dressy but mine is quite fancy and hers is a little more dressed down.

SILVER  LEATHER  PENCIL  SKIRT  - PERFECT  FOR  NEW  YEAR'S  EVE!
Isn't this Silver (Faux) Leather Pencil Skirt with the thigh-high slit perfect for New Year's Eve. I purchased it a few weeks ago at Forever 21 and I thought it was the perfect skirt to wear for New Year's Eve with the right amount of shimmer, texture and sex appeal. Plus metallics are super stylish now and the Holiday season is the perfect time to wear them! I went for a monochromatic yet somewhat colorful outfit because I paired it with a Millennial Pink Soft Cotton Blouse which has Swiss Dot Chiffon Bell Sleeves (by Loft), a Soft Faux Fur Collar (by Target) and Large Enamel Statement Hoop Earrings (by BaubleBar). I did add enough sparkle via my Iridescent Sparkly Block Heel Sandals (by Target) to which I added Gold Sequined Bow Clips. Last but not least my Gorgeous New Grey Ombre Textured Clutch with Tassels is also by Target (from Universal Threads). This Gorgeous Clutch is a steal at 15 bucks! What do you think of this outfit for New Year's Eve?! Yay or Nay to a Leather Skirt for Nee Year's Eve?! Speaking of NY Eve, stop by my other linkup next week - on Thursday Moda - because I will be sharing another New Year's Eve Inspired Outfit and more metallics. =)

Elsie is rocking her Over the Knee Boots though and I love her blouse. Those OTK Boots are even quilted, so fun and unique! We are both thinking soft, feminine flouncy blouses today as far as our tops go. She also went for a monochromatic look in classic black+white. And I must say her Windowpane Circle Skirt is stunning!

My favorite outfit featuring a skirt from last month's linkup, belongs to NICOLE from High Latitude Style. Love her midi-length plaid skirt first of all. It is perfect for the holiday season. Nicole did a fabulous job pattern-mixing it with another smaller-scale plaid blouse on top. She went for a fully-monochromatic navy look with her suede tall boots. Yet that beautiful red belt is like a pretty+festive ornament to her fantastic outfit!

Now Join our SUPER FUN NEW YEAR'S EVE "Skirting the Rules" Linkup. Isn't the graphic so fun and fabulous!?  I love it!! You can link up any outfits here, not just skirts, but Elsie and I will pick a couple of favorite skirt looks to feature each month! The linkup will be open for a couple of weeks, for your convenience. Have Fun, blog-hop around and meet some other fabulous fashionistas along the way!
