A Little White Seersucker Dress and a Birthday Linkup Collaboration!
Happy Friday my friends! The dress I am sharing today is from a sunny Summery day. This morning it was around 45 degrees, freezing - I am totally bundled up!! But I am sharing this pretty dress for a pretty and special occasion. Today is my friend Monica's Birthday - she turns 31!! As you all know, I have been doing a Blog Birthday Party on my blog for 6 years straight, every May. I am glad that Monica decided to do the same. She is looking quite fabulous for her 31st birthday too and she collaborated with some of her closest blogging buddies for her post.
A LITTLE WHITE SEERSUCKER DRESS.
As you all know I love Target and I shop there quite often. Especially from the time I was pregnant up until now that I have been a mom (almost for 6 years). Target has so many hidden gems, like my precious, beautiful little white dress. This Little White Seersucker Dress (with very light sky blue stripes) was purchased last Summer, from their "A New Day" line and it seriously the prettiest, most flattering little shirtdress. It would work for brides-to-be, for graduation students, for working professionals like me or for working mamas like me. I love, love the unique way it ties into a bow in the front. The dress is truly beautiful and so well-made. Tommy Hilfiger had a similar one this year for 5-6 times as much. Since my dress is so pretty, I let the dress by the star and only added Fuchsia Lipstick in addition to my light glowing makeup, my Light Gold Textured Teardrop-Shaped Earrings, my Tan Python Bangle and my Nude Block-Heel Laceup Sandals. Easy, peasy, elegant and done! What do you think of this OOTD?! Do you own a seersucker dress or anything seersucker?!
I had no doubt in my mind that Monica would look terrific today for her special 31st. If you don't follow MONICA from Jersey Girl, Texan Heart yet you are missing out. She is a great girl with great taste and I love how and what she writes too. I have collaborated with her over a dozen times through the years and will do more so, soon! Stop by her blog today to read her special post and wish her a Happy Birthday!
I found many cute and classic White Seersucker Dress, a couple of them are very similar to mine. Shop below:
Monica asked all of us to write an advise or a few things we would tell our younger selves and here is my response:
"Hey there Monica. Happy Birthday!! I would tell my younger self not to worry about the small things. The more years go by, the more ‘adults’ we become — the more worries, problems and everyday things we have going for us. Adulting isn’t easy. We shouldn’t have to think about it as kids, teens or young adults. Also smile more because even if a smile creates wrinkles, it is good for the soul! A small smile can heal someone, it can ease a difficult day. A small smile can make someone’s day, including yours! With that said, I hope you smile A LOT today and in the coming new year in your life, dearest Monica!!"

The dress does look so well made and a bit unique. It was a great find and looks like it can be dressed up or down.
ReplyDeleteAda, this dress is adorable! I do love a good seersucker, but I am particularly drawn to this white on white seersucker. I don’t currently have any seersucker in my wardrobe, but now it is on my radar for the spring. Great look and such a fun collaboration to celebrate Monica!

Target is an amazing place but it can also be so dangerous! Love this seersucker dress and the unique way it ties making the skirt look even more prominent. You look great Ada and that fuschia lipstick is a nice color pop!
