Thursday Moda #125: Skirtmas in July, Day 11: Bright, Pineapple Print Skirts.

Today's Thursday Moda post is a little late because this will be my final post before Tuesday next week, since I will be on vacation starting today and we come back Monday night. So, "in honor" of my vacation and since Elsie and I both love A) Beautiful Fun Summer Prints, B) Bright Colors+Patterns and C) Midi Skirts (duhhh - we have styled several Midi Skirts this Summer throughout this series), we decided to style Our Pineapple Print Midi Skirts for you ladies today. Our skirts are a little different (especially in color) but equally pretty and our styling is totally different. I went full-on vacation mode with this outfit, while ELSIE of Polished Whimsy showed us a dressy, sophisticated version of her pineapple skirt, which would be perfect for a business casual work environment. And as always she is the queen of pattern-mixing and I also love her open-toe bootie pumps! Plus that J. Crew Pineapple Skirt that Elsie has is gorgeous, such vibrant colors. As it has been with our previous posts and linkups this month too, Elsie is my Thursday Moda co-host today, as well! =)

For the 9th day of our Skirtmas in July series as you can see we are styling Bright, Colorful, Pineapple-Print Midi Skirts for Summer and they can be more versatile than you think. And yes you can wear them to the office. But they can also be worn casually, for a mom's day off, to vacation - like my look today, for a daytime event, for brunch, a shower, girls' night out or a dinner date. Read on below for the details of my outfit and how I styled my Pineapple Print Skirt.

TALBOTS  AQUA+YELLOW  PINEAPPLE-PRINT  MIDI  SKIRT.
I first saw this gorgeous Talbots Pineapple Skirt on the always-gorgeous, very stylish, lover of colors, prints and pattern-mixing KATIE from Hello Katie Girl and of course she did the skirt justice by how she styled it. Her colorful style is one of my favorites and I always get inspiration from her. Well this gorgeous, silk-blend Midi Skirt was about $110 regular price but it was marked down and an additional 40% off when I got it. Now it is marked down even more. It is quite a steal and you should get your hands on it! I absolutely love it. The material is thick, sturdy and so well made and it is fully-lined too. Since I am leaving for vacation today, I wanted to style it how I would if I were to wear this on vacay. So, I paired it with a White Tank by Aeropostale. This tank top is ribbed and has a cute lace-up detail on the neckline and it shows my curves so well. I wanted my accessories to say fun, bright, girly, Summertime so I chose my Multi-Colored Target Tassel Slides, an Embellished Little Woven Bag (the 3D embellishments are a pineapple, a cherry stem, a slice of watermelon and a branch of red grapes - how fun!!) which I have had in my closet for over a decade and have no clue where was purchased. And I also went for super fun jewelry: bracelets, earrings and necklace in shades of turquoise which matched the aqua color of the skirt well and a little pink that brings out the pink tassels of my fun slide sandals. I ended up loving this look of how to style a Pineapple-Print Skirt for vacation. And I also had a fun shoot. Do you like the location of these pics and this outfit?! Do you own a pineapple skirt?! How do you wear yours?!

THE  HAND-MADE  JEWELRY.
I am a fan and advocate of supporting small businesses and local businesses. On top of that I love pretty jewelry and for Summer I love colorful jewelry. So, my Crochet Half-Moon Turquoise Earrings with the oval stone in the middle, all 3 Bracelets, the Anklet, the Necklace and the Crochet Band Watch (it has a multicolored band) are all hand-made and all from small businesses. The earrings were purchased years ago in Michigan from a small local business owner and the watch was purchased from a small business when I was living in Albania. But the 3 bracelets, anklet and necklace are all recent from my new friend I met via Instagram - Sue Marie. She sells her beautiful hand-made jewelry on her Instagram account and everything is reasonably-priced between about 8 to 20$ and hand-made with love. I previously ordered 5 bracelets from her and this time around I got 3 more bracelets, 3 anklets and 2 necklaces. All the jewelry I chose to wear has a nautical, summer, beach vibe. The anklet has an anchor charm while the bracelets have fish, mermaid and starfish charms and all in such vivacious colors too. But my favorite of them all is this gorgeous Silver-Tone Necklace with the few different charms. I love the one charm that says "Salty and Sandy Kisses". I love it. I am packing all of these nautical jewelry for my vacation. They are perfect for it. =))

You all loved my Coral Patterned Pencil Skirt from last week and I loved what you all put together. This week's featured ladies (coincidentally) are all in their 50s and all have fabulous style! I had to choose some skirt outfits obviously but I must say those Black+White Striped Palazzo Pants are fantastic, too!
Nicole's Outfit features a  camo floral olive skirt which she 'Styled Two Ways'. With the cute khaki jacket, gorgeous nude pumps and matching nude bag she is ready for an air-conditioned office. Love it!
Go see Linda's 'Journey' as she puts together a trendy and modern black+white look featuring those fabulous striped palazzo pants and a one-shoulder tank top. One cool chica!
Maria is a girl after my own heart wearing red. 'Bows and Ruffles Together' have never looked better and that midi skirt is to die for! Love the frilly blouse, also.
Tiina is 'Hot Weather Smart Casual' in one of her signature striped tees and long denim skirt. Street style at its best!
