Thursday Moda #121: Fresh White+Blue Stripes for Mommy and Daughter.

Happy Thursday everyone. Two days in a row with Cute Mommy+Daughter Outfit Posts. If you missed it, I recapped our Mother's Day yesterday and today not only do I have Vivian with me, but also my beautiful mama. And the three of us went down-town Brighton, Michigan yesterday after work (in the evening) so these photos are from then. My mom is always a put-together casual lady, but as usual we will focus on Vivian's and I's outfits. That is why you are here for, right?!

FRESH  WHITE+BLUE  STRIPES  FOR MOMMY AND  DAUGHTER.
Oh how I much I love white and blue for Summer, especially if the blue is in the hues of the sky, pale blue or periwinkle. It is such a light, airy, fresh, pretty and girly color. Not only it is perfect for Summer but also for 4th of July, when paired with white. Vivian's Adorable Cold-Shoulder Old Navy Dress and my Super Adorable New Romper by American Eagle both have white and blue stripes. Heck, my romper even has red stripes. We coordinated nicely, didn't we?! =) But I love how the pattern and colors are so subtle and not super bright - makes this adorable romper perfect for the 4th of July if you don't want to go for an overly-patriotic look. Now Vivian has her red on the top strap of her Cute 2-tone Sandals also by Old Navy. I love how the tan strap of her sandals (can I have them in my size?!) is almost identical to the shade of tan of my own Laceup Block-Heel Sandals. I also went for a Neutral Muted Olive Crossbody Bag. And I accessorized with Slate Small Circle Multi-Faceted Stud Earrings, a Dainty Black Beaded 3-strand Necklace and a Bold Black Watch which I love. How I felt fun and sassy, and sweet and young in my pretty ruffled romper I scored for about 70% off recently at Loft. It will be the perfect Summer romper. It is a little big on me since it is Medium but it has that cinched belt, plus this way is slightly longer...

...And speaking of the length of this romper, my mom - being a 'typical' mama that worries and loves to advise - told me my romper is pretty short and I should change perhaps. But I convinced her otherwise. See, this is the best my body has looked since Vivian was a baby. Not only does the cinched-waist of of this romper shows my small waist, the slight V-neck shows enough cleavage (and I have quite a bit, trust me lol), but better yet this romper shows my long and well-shaped legs. They are not trained or runner legs, but they are pretty slim and almost entirely without cellulite (being honest you guys) and I have no veins so why not?! So, when you got it - flaunt it! Why not flaunt my nice legs?! We agree?! But within reason, you still want to look good, put-together and like a mom. You want to flaunt it in a classy way. Not like the woman I saw today who was a mom of two little kids with a size F chest wearing a backless maxi dress with a super low-cut cleavage and she wasn't wearing a bra. That is not the good flaunting I am talking about. Stay sexy but keep it classy, ladies! And if you are worried about what anyone may say, just walk with confidence and smile!

Unfortunately, we din't take many photos last night so I had to use these all and some are quite blurry, however cute poses with Vivian, I wanted to keep them. The wind didn't help matters either, so apologies.

Last week you all linked so many great Summer looks. Coincidentally enough, my top 6 favorite outfits from last week would all be great for 4th of July. I am enamored with all the blue and pops of white and red too. Blue and white is after all ALWAYS super fresh for Summer. There were so many gorgeous dresses linked, beautiful shoes and some fun purses. I will take one of each dress, pair of shoes and handbag from the collage below, thank you.
Laurie is always a class act. Her umbrella-shaped red dress is 'A Simple Stylish Dress' from one of her favorite brands. And I happen to love red paired with cognac for Summer, sort of from the same color family yet different.
Tiered beautifully like a wedding cake, Maria notes the importance of 'Tiered Dresses for Summer'. Hers is in the most subtle print and a dark neutral and I love her silver sandals.
Kim who joined the linkup last week shared some 'Summer Sweater Coziness'. A light-weight, light-colored boyfriend cardigan is a must-have piece for Summer, especially when layered with skinny jeans.
Katie has 'Watermelons' in her super chic sheath. Not only is the print fun and whimsical but I love that she chose bright yellow slide sandals.
Nora does a great job designing her clothes and this 'Navy' split-sleeve wrap dress is super classy yet fresh and modern. Love her shoes and large pendant necklace.
I don't want to 'Change Your Thoughts' Nina because you wrote them down so well in your post, but fashion-wise you have legs for days in this fun hi-lo striped dress. Love the OBI belt with it.

P.S. There will be a new Sunday Showcase linkup this Sunday on July 1st so make sure to join it. Thank you!

Rompers are the best. At first, I'd shied away from them but now I absolutely adore them. They're so comfortable and easy to style.
