Thursday Moda #102: Neon Pink+Red Office Valentine.

Good morning. I am writing this post very, very last minute... this Thursday morning after Valentine's day to be exact and this Pink+Red Outfit - which was the perfect Chic+Festive Valentine's Day Work Look - is exactly what I wore to work yesterday for VDay. Speaking of Valentine's day, how was yours?! Did you enjoy yourself no matter what you did?! Mine was simple but beautiful and I had a great time. I wore a totally-different outfit for that but you will see it next week on my Tuesday post. ;-) Meanwhile, let's focus a little bit more in detail in today's look.

THE  PINK  WRAP  SKIRT.
Isn't this Bright Pink Wrap Pencil Skirt so beautiful?! This one is from Loft. I scored it this week on huge clearance. Some of the prettiest, most unique and most well-made skirts I own - which are also some of my favorite skirts - are from Loft. They make really adorable skirts you guys. I love the neon pink color on this one which will make it great to transition into Spring and into early Summer. It is a very well-made, a thick wool-blend material and fully-lined. And look at that style. The tulip front slit is modern, sexy and sophisticated. I am wearing a size 4 - what I usually wear on bottoms at Loft - but I think I could and should have done the 2. It is pretty roomy on the back and I think - since I have lost a few pounds - the tighter fit would suit my butt more lol.

THE  RED  BLOUSE.
This Beautiful Red Blouse is also by Loft, purchased on clearance too, the same day as the skirt. I totally didn't plan on pairing these pieces together when I purchased them, but as soon as I got them out of the bag and knowing Valentine's day was just days away, I figured these two pieces together would make for the perfect VDay work look. This blouse is like a polyester jersey on the front and a comfortable knit cotton on the back. I love the little ribbon detail around the neckline and the sleeves and speaking of the sleeves I love that they are wide and feminine. I love a good statement sleeve! I am wearing an XS and it is perfectly comfortable.

Last week, my 101st Thursday Moda linkup was once again a huge success with over 160 entries - thank you all very much! So many gorgeous outfits. How did I narrow it down to 5 ladies, for real?! One common theme occurred: Valentine's day looks. Clearly, since VDay was less than a week away. My favorites this week of course feature mostly red and pink, just like the colors I am wearing in today's outfit and I happen to love my outfit today.
This week's Featured Blogger is my friend DEBBIE from Fashion Fairy Dust and if you follow Debbie or know her style, you will totally get the name of her blog. This lady - who also lives in a super cold climate full of snow, I must add - is always layered perfectly for any season and does Bohemian looks like no one else. Every outfit is unique. Take for example the Long Ochre Chenille Cardigan she perfectly matched to her fun+funky mustard boots and that gorgeous velvet burnout floral cami in shades of brown and maroon matches the peeking socks beautifully. Since I own an identical cardigan I should try a similar look. And speaking of a third topper piece and amazing boots, check out her Silver Velvet Duster paired with knee-high edgy combat boots. Debbie - who is part of the "Ageless Style" ladies that do a themed monthly linkup - went completely stylish for this month's theme - which was to emulate a favorite book, show or movie character. Her style continues to amaze and inspire me so please follow Debbie, today.

'Open to Interpretation' or not I am a sucker for a pretty little red dress (LRD) and to prove that you should visit my blog on Tuesday February 20th. Beautiful Sarah, a mama of 5, styles the prettiest red lace dress. I love the length and that it has long sleeves. So sexy yet so elegant and classic, especially with her pretty black pumps and Chanel bag.
'Tiny Hearts' on her chemise dress, flat OTK boots, a classic+modern black leather moto jacket + a nice burgundy purse and gorgeous Elyse is ready for date night on Valentine's. I too wore my very similar black moto jacket over my dress, this past Valentine's day.
Tamara wore 'Pink + Black for Valentine's Day'. Now this look is casual yet dressy, a little edgy and a little girly too - the perfect combo for me. Love her raspberry sweater so much.
Kathrine's 'Pink Velvet Skater Dress' needs to make its way into my closet. Love the pleated skirt, the full-sleeves, the fit+flare style and the stunning Millennial Pink color.

  15. Beautiful pencil skirt! It's such a gorgeous piece and pairs perfectly with your red blouse. Lovely Valentine's Day outfit and I am glad you had a wonderful Valentine's. My hubby work late on Wednesdays so I spent Valentine's Day with my son. We ate some of his favorite treats and watched his favorite train shows before calling it a night. I was choo choo'd out but little man was happy so it was well worth it!
