Bell Bottoms, Bow Blouse and Bold Booties.

BELL  BOTTOMS,  BOW  BLOUSE  AND  BOLD  BOOTIES.

Try saying that 3 times fast?! It is quite a mouthful hmm? Imagine if I had added the word blues (Blues: Bell Bottoms, Bow Blouse and Bold Booties). Alliteration at its best. Some titles come easier than others, what about you?! Well, this is actually the outfit I wore today as in this Sunday afternoon. After a mostly lazy AM where besides washing dishes, neat-picking the house a little and shooting one outfit for the blog, after lunch in the afternoon, I decided to take Vivian and go out and about one of the cute down-towns we have nearby, since it was pretty sunny and in the mid 40s (read: warm for Michigan in February). It was quite windy though and you can tell by today's photos. You saw snippets of this outfit (mostly my blue bow floral blouse) on my Instagram stories yesterday. Do you follow me yet?! Vivian and I walked a little downtown Northville and then sat down at our favorite cafe which is also a bookstore and it is Paris-themed. I even picked up 3 books for her (but I will talk about that more on a later post). I drank a French-press Coffee Late and it was so good. We also got 2 small cheesecakes with berries on top and a delightful baked apple pastry. We were only there for a total of 90 minutes or so but it was nice. I consider Sundays my days with Vivian as I spend the entire day with her and I love doing things with my little girl. =)

THE  BOW  BLOUSE.
I love a good pussy-bow blouse (or dress) and I own several of which. This was purchased sometime last year on clearance at Loft. I am wearing a Small and I could have probably done the XS, but I do like the slightly loose-fit on this and the longer length. It is almost like a tunic which means it would work with leggings. I don't have a lot of blue pieces in my closet but I have rectified that in the last couple of years. I have been attracted and gravitated towards blue florals and I have purchased a lot of blue floral pieces too (from places like Loft, Banana Republic, Nordstrom and Old Navy).

THE  BELL  BOTTOMS  AND  THE  BOLD  BOOTIES.
I own 3 pairs (I think) of Bell Bottom Denim, one of which is in a very dark/navy wash but for some reason I don't wear them too much. For example, this Winter this is the very first time I am wearing bell bottom jeans. And I don't know why cause I like them and I find them flattering and classy on every woman and a little retro 70s too. But I gravitate towards one of my many pairs of skinny jeans since they are easier to wear. This particular pair is 7 from All Mankind (from almost a decade ago) purchased at Neiman Marcus and I love them. I have worn these at least two dozen times since I have had them and they have held up so well after many washes. I only own a few pairs of designer denim and I love this pair. My super stylish friend CHERYL from Northwest Mountain Living wears bell bottom jeans all the time and styles them beautifully each time. If you don't know who Cheryl is - you should, she has fabulous style! Anyhow, she reminded me to wear mine and I will wear more again soon. This pair is a size 27 but 26 would fit perfectly. They are slightly long and wide at the very bottom so they called for heels. I paired them with my New Velvet Cranberry Booties courtesy of a European shoe brand. I have worn these booties 4 times since I received them about 2-3 weeks ago and I love them. You can't see the boots a lot in today's post but you will get to see them on my Thursday Moda post this week, in all their glory lol. I love how today's outfit is monochromatic with all the shades of blue and then you get that BOOM shock of color on my feet, via the Cranberry Booties.

  8. Love your bell bottoms! It's such a flashback and love love those times. It was a different world then! But back to your outfit, your floral blouse is lovely. The teal color is a beautiful shade and love how the florals just pop out. I also like the flowy look of the blouse. Great outfit!
