On Mondays We Link-Up: Camo and Ochre.

Good morning! How was your first week of 2018 ladies?! Did you watch The 75th Golden Globes Awards last night?! What do you think of all the stars dressed in black in support of the "Time's up" solidarity against sexual harrasment at work?!

Well, moving on to today's outfit, I have the pleasure of co-hosting my friend Roxanne's linkup today. ROXANNE from Glass of Glam and I clicked about 2 years ago when I first discovered her blog. Her style is so cute and her bright smile is a true statement to her heart. She recently moved to Chicago which is a 4-hour drive from me so I hope to meet her in person, this Summer. But Roxanne is no stranger to my blog due to my multi features of her on "Thursday Moda" and several collaborations we have done together in the last 2 years.

CAMO  AND  OCHRE.
This is the only real outfit I have worn and photographed in 2018 so far. That is because I have been with the flu for 9 days straight - that is since 2017, in case you did the Math lol. I wore this on Friday to make myself feel and look better and a little pulled-together after days of Ibuprofen, DayQuil and NyQuil. For realz though, we have had the coldest Winter here in Michigan in at least a decade. We actually hit a record with having temps in the single digits for 12 days straight. While it will snow today for a few hours, it won't last long since the temps are warming up (30s - say what?!) and we are expecting rain some days this week too. Anyhow, while this Long Ochre Chenille Cardigan was one of my favorite (as well as most-worn) purchases of 2017, I paired it with my Dark (Olive) Camo Leggings which I have had in my closet for a few years. I think I like the combination of Classic Olive Camo and this Rusty Ochre shade. This ochre paired so well with the deep red underneath too. The Button-Down Red Blouse is a Sleeveless Portofino Shirt by Express and the Patent Leather Silver Loafers are also Express. Ohh and that Dark Red Lipstick is hiding the lip cold sores this horrible flu gifted me with - just keeping it real, you all. This is not the best outfit, but I look put-together while keeping it comfy and colorful. Cute, no?!

P.S. Over the weekend, I recapped My Favorite Outfits from 2017 (January-June), come tell me what you think, please!

Now join "On Mondays We Link Up" with Roxanne and I... but first, here is my favorite look from last week's linkup.

How to add color to your winter wardrobe - Green kimono sweater and green satin heels // Notjessfashion.com
My favorite post and outfit from Roxanne's Linkup last Monday is Not Jess Fashion's "Gorgeous in Green" post. Jess is a drop-dead gorgeous mama who showed us several ways to add color to your wardrobe for Winter. Her street style is always on fire and I particularly adored the outfit above. The lace-up skinny jeans paired with pearl-embellished satin emerald pumps and hunter green oversized poncho sweater with a matching bag is such a modern, sexy, put-together and edgy mom look.

  1. Ada, I love your camo leggings outfit! So cute and comfy. Of course, the chenille sweater is perfect coziness! I am so sorry you have been so ill. That is just the worst...and then the weather being so awful, too. I hope you are back to 100% soon, my friend!
