Thursday Moda #72: Girls in Patterned Maxis and Gold Sandals (Look 21).

Happy Thursday!
Let's start by saying that besides our outfits, I love our pictures today. Many photos are candid (Vivian in action, or doing her thing and even when she posed she was being 100% herself). Actually, more than half of the photos are not even edited at all. I saw no need to do that. Sometimes the best moments we capture in life are those where our lipstick is half-eaten, our makeup is non-existent or not perfect, our legs may even need a little shave and we are wearing flip-flops. Because that is #momlife and that is Real Life and there is nothing wrong at all with that. Just the opposite.

So let's do a little rundown of our outfits. I am wearing the only Maxi Dress that I included in my capsule wardrobe. I love how the pattern sort of looks like a peacock. It is a proud pattern and a loud pattern at that. Plus Green (the color of the year) is a bold and bright color in itself, it is definitely noticeable. I decided to stick to my Casual Bohemian Vibe so I wore Rubber Gold Flip Flops and chose to accessorize with my two Beaded Tassel Bracelets, a Light String Half Moon Necklace plus Simple Teardrop Earrings and I pulled my hair in a low chignon. Vivi herself wore her own maxi. Vivian's maxi dress is in a Watercolor Pink/Red Floral Pattern with a Ruffled Hem and a Hi-Lo Style. She decided to match mommy and wore her own Gold Shoes (they are an open Mary Jane Jelly Sandal/Flat) and she accessorized with a few Fun Hair Barrettes and her Gorgeous Smile.

I just love this photo. It is so real. I am taking a selfie and posing for the blog while Vivian is playing and being her happy self, in our front yard.

Vivian's Outfit:
Pink Watercolor Floral Hi-Lo Maxi Dress: Genuine Kids via Target (New).
Light Green Chiffon + Gold Satin Bow Barette [and] Skinny Blue Plaid Bow Barrette: Purchased in Albania.
Silver Faux Leather Shell Hair Barrette: Gymboree (New).
Shimmery Gold, Perforated, Jelly, Mary Jane Ballet Flats: Old Navy (New).

Green Mosaic-Print Cold-Shoulder Maxi Dress w/ Tassel Drawstring Waist & Crochet detail on the Chest: Xhilaration via Target (similar in navy+white mosaic print, Steal, love this), (similar in a navy pattern), (quite similar, Great Deal, my Favorite), (similar, Splurge, my Favorite).
Coral Beaded Bracelet w/ Teal Tassel: Pumps and Pushups (similar multi-stranded, Steal), (similar set of 3, Great Deal, love this), (similar here + here, Splurge).

Interestingly enough, last week there were many of you who linked gorgeous Maxi Dresses (and even Maxi Skirts). Although, there were several other outfits that I loved. Today, I decided to focus on these stylish ladies in their maxis - fitting for my OOTD post today. Some of these ladies (like myself) have that Cool California-like, Bohemian style going, pairing their Maxi Dresses with Fun Flat Sandals. Some dressed up their maxis to the nines with Beautiful Heels. These ladies belong to different age groups too. They are full proof that whether you are in your 20s, 30s, 40s or 50s you can look elegant and feminine in a maxi.
This week's featured blogger is STEPHANIE from Glamorous and Geeky (who I almost featured last week, wearing the outfit on the left). This lovely mama of a little 4-year old boy always looks super cool and boho in her Florida style. Last week she linked up a Gorgeous Summer Maxi Skirt which she paired with white sandals, a printed tropical tote and a sexy black bodysuit (I love that it has full sleeves). But even the previous week I loved her very different but equally fun+sexy Black+Tan Look she linked up, which despite the sex appeal of those bootie-sandal stilettos, it still has that easy boho vibe to it. I love how in each outfit she combined black with shades of mustard or shades of camel and the laceup detail on her black tops. Stephanie has been the featured blogger once before, for no other reason than I love her fun SAHM style - which is very different than mine actually, but perhaps that is what attracts me to her outfits that have been featured on my blog a few times. If you don't know Stephanie yet, make sure you follow her blog and Instagram too, because they are both inspiring.

Tiina is 'All Dressed Up' in her pretty purple flowers, with a coordinating off-white umbrella which added the perfect punch to the outfit.
Kelsey was perfectly-dressed 'For the Fourth' in the most unique striped maxi dress combining red+white+blue and a trendy laceup neckline. Love her crossbody.
Shannon is 'Golden' with touches of chestnut thrown in there with her beautiful leather accessories. The oversized tiers of her maxi dress make it so fun and breathable for a hot Florida day (her home place).
The design and colors on Valeria's maxi dress are as bold and beautiful as every one of her outfits. But you have to check out her post to see her amazing 'Metallic Heels'.
'Monochromatic' is totally my jam and in pale pink hues and ivory, the lovely Laurie styles a pleated maxi skirt and colorblocked blouse with the most beautiful nude heels.

Are you guys shopping the BIG #NSALE that starts today for all the Nordstrom card holders?! I got my catalog in the mail and I have been eyeing a few things. But more on that and my Nordstrom favorites from this year's Anniversary Sale coming to the blog on Friday's post, so stay tuned. =)
And thank you for linking up today!
