This outfit is perfect for Memorial Day right?! When I think of Memorial Day, the start of Summer comes to mind and Summer to me means stripes and nautical looks with a little bit of blue denim for a good mixture. Because let's face it, it doesn't get any more American than Red+White Stripes paired with Blue Denim. This outfit was cute for me not to share but looking at the photos as I edited them, there were so many things wrong in this outfit. For one, it was super windy as you can tell and I was having an even worse hair day because of it. Secondly this dress which fit too tight (wished I hadn't taken off the tags; it is a size Small by Old Navy by the way) shows every lump and bump in my not-perfect body and at some photos it looks like it is tucked on the bottom part of my boobs. Plus, had I gotten the Medium, not only would it fit a little more loose but wouldn't look as short for my long legs.

...But, Old Navy has fickle sizes. I can wear anything from an XS to a M there or from a 0 to a 6. I guess, I always have to try something on first before buying it. I could tell by looking at it that it looked tight and fitted but then it had a lot of stretch in the jersey and since I mostly wear a size Small for any brand including Old Navy, I bought it. See, I usually have Vivian with me when I shop and most times is hard trying things on with a toddler who is busy doing their own thing. Another thing that I think is wrong here - I should have gone for bright red lipstick or an orange lipstick instead of this golden nude one. But this is real life and this is a typical Friday off for this mama. I still think the outfit is cute that is why I shared it. In my opinion this Red+White Striped Cotton Dress goes with a Blue Denim Jacket (any denim jacket really, in any shade of blue or white) like peanut butter+jelly, don't you think so?! When Memorial Day is around the corner, how do you transition your wardrobe from Spring to Summer?! Do you think of Nautical and Americana items like I do?!
