50 Shades of Serenity Blue.
I know 'Greenery' was named Pantone's color of the year but everywhere we look, we see pastel shades of blue and pink: baby blue or baby pink if you will. Light sky blue shades and gorgeous feminine blush pink are covering the windows of every store and can be seen from mannequins to blogger babes, to the trendiest fashionistas around. In my opinion much hasn't changed since last year because last year's biggest trending colors of 2016 Rose Quartz and Serenity are still very much in the fashion game. These colors pair so well together too. I am doing a 40-day capsule wardrobe soon and have decided to make these gorgeous pastel shades, my main colors. More details about my capsule wardrobe coming soon, by the way.
As far as today, I decided to wear Serenity or Sky Blue head to toe as you can see, though in different shades. In case you are wondering there are a total of six shades: two in the pants, plus the shoes, the turtleneck, the cardigan and the earrings. I also love how the florals pair together. The cropped Pixie pants have the tiniest pretty floral print and I love the small embroidered flowers over the mesh part on those loafers. Some of these pieces are new-ish (from the last 6 months or so) but for the others I shopped my closet. For example the thin ribbed sleeveless turtleneck is from about 12 years ago. I wore this ourfit to dinner with my brother and sister in law and she complimented my outfit. Do you still shop your closet for current trends and how do you feel about capsule wardrobes?
