Flashback Friday: Rose Quartz and Serenity for Fall.

As you will notice from the indoor photos here, that is my mantle/fireplace ares as it was decorated this Spring but I shot these photos and never blogged this outfit. The mantle looks real pretty with the bright colors and pastels, right? Well it looks totally Fall-ish now and I plan to give you all a Home Fall Tour in the next few days here. I know I know it is almost Halloween but let's not forget we have all November ahead of us and November signifies Autumn as does Thanksgiving.

Anyway, this outfit, never blogged before but I wore it very similarly just the other day. So it is sort of a Flashback Friday post though you have never seen the outfit. Truth is, I paired this same Serenity Blue Sweater with this Rose Quartz Scarf tied/twisted the same way on Wednesday to work, except I wore Black Cigarette Pants and Black Suede Wedge Pumps with them, however I never had time to photograph it. The rest of the outfit was the same, even the same Teal Blue Rose Stud Earrings. I even carried the same Black Fringe Bag. I guess sometimes our sub-conscience tells us what to do. I think this outfit (though originally from March) is very relevant for Fall because I paired these light Pastel Colors with Camel, Suede and Shearling and because Pink is the color to wear for October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. I also like that this outfit is pretty monochromatic with the different shades of blue and it has a little nod to 70s with my metallic denim flares. Both the sweater and the scarf are in light silk knits and look great together. But after wearing it 3 times this year I will be taking this sweater to the second-hand store to sell because it fits a little too close to my body for my taste now. I prefer my sweater more loose and longer these days.

Baby Blue/Serenity Silk-Knit, V-Neck Sweater: Banana Republic (very old) (very similar, love this), (similar, Great Deal), (similar), (similar w/ ombre sleeves, my Favorite).
Tan/Nude Faux Fur/Shearling Vest w/ Faux Suede on the outside: JC Penney (very similar, love this), (similar, Steal), (similar, on Sale, love this), (gorgeous option in taupe, Small Splurge, my Favorite).
Black, Soft Suede Crossbody Bag w/ Oversized Fringe off the size: Target (similar, Huge Steal), (clutch option, Steal, my Favorite), (similar, Great Deal), (similar, Splurge).
Cognac/Camel Suede Stiletto Booties w/ Fringe on the side: Frye (very similar current option by Frye, Splurge), (similar, Huge Steal), (similar booties), (similar Western-inspired, love these).

Speaking of Spring, below is a way I styled Rose Quartz and Serenity for Spring.

Yesterday on my linkup I noticed some of you who whore pops of pink this October too, especially Rose Quartz. Everyone looked beautiful. Here are some inspirations below. You can still join this week's new linkup here.

  1. Love the mix of rose quartz and pale blue especially the last pic with the skirt! Although I love pink, I try to stay away from the pale shade of pink because it doesn´t match with my skin´s color but I think I darker shade of rose quartz will do.

Btw, thanks for the mention of my dress on yesterday´s link. I wasn´t able to link something yesterday because I was busy.

    Hugs!

  4. Love those two colors together! I have a similar scarf I should try and style with blue. And I'm a huge vest fan, so your shearling/suede one is making me want to buy one, too!
