My Red Carpet Moment at Work.
Good Morning and Happy Monday you all. Did you all watch the 68th Emmy Awards? I started watching them but then it took me a while to put Vivian to sleep. She was being crabby, then I got tired and decided to sleep myself. I plan on watching them "On Demand" this week though. I did notice some gorgeous gowns from the arrivals though. I will do a recap, soon.
I am running late this morning and I wasn't able to have the photos of today's new OOTD ready on time, instead I am pulling an old post from the archives. This is once upon a time (a couple of years ago) for an event I helped organize and a grand opening at my previous job, where red carpets were rolled and tuxedo-clad male servers served us trays of chic mini-appetizers, champagne flutes and yummy cocktails. Most of you haven't seen this outfit so I thought I'd share it. Perfectly-timed with the red carpet Emmys also. The theme of the event was Red and White so I did kind of match with my white dress, now, had I worn red shoes... A great time was had because great books, the media, television, fashion, champagne and elegant cocktails were involved and a lot of well-known, well-established people in the Albanian and European media were there.
I wore an Off-White Ponte Sheath for the event - one of my best White Dresses I think and one of the first ones I have owned. I love the scoop-neck almost shaped like an 'U' and that double button, nautical detail in the front. Those buttons are in ivory enamel with a gold rim. I went for a Monochromatic Look with a Tan/Nude 3/4-Sleeve Blazer and kept it classic with Pointy Black Patent Leather Pumps from Nine West (I love and own a lot of their shoes). I added a dainty Pearl Necklace, Crystal Chandelier Earrings and a Fun 3-stranded Beaded Silver Bracelet. I had my makeup and hair done by the beauty team behind the event. My makeup is all done with Lancome products - one of the sponsors of the event. Since then, this lipstick by Lancome has become a favorite and I own it in two shades (Prune Amesthyte and Rose Nocturne), as well as this amazing glow stick that I swear by. They both come highly-recommended from me. How do you think I styled this LWD? Isn't the chic style beautiful? Do you own an off-white or white sheath?
