Instagram Wedding Style.
The last Sunday of July, one of my friends that I used to work with when I was a tutor at a high school, got married. She will be moving to Cleveland this weekend actually - her new home. Her husband is originally from there and he has a good job, while she transferred there for work too, as a high school teacher. A couple of weeks before her wedding we had her Bachelorette party which was attended by the bride, her four bridesmaids, her maid of honor, 5 of her other friends (including me) and a guy - one of her best friends which is one of the most stylish gay men I have ever met. Since Cleveland, Ohio is her new home, her maid of honor and bridesmaids decided to have the party there. We ended up going to Anatomy which was a very attractive lounge, bar and club. There were three other bachelorette parties there, that night.
I did bring my DSLR camera with me that night as well as to the wedding two weeks later, but in the beginning of September (when my sister-in-law was here) my DSLR camera broke and I haven't had a chance to take it to be fixed which I really hope it will. I have misplaced the memory card from there, so unfortunately I don't have the photos of me wearing these two outfits: from the bachelorette party and later to the wedding. My friends and I took a lot of pictures inside the club and in the limo too (with our phones) but some of them were dark and most of them is me with my friends and since none of them have blogs, I don't feel comfortable sharing them here. Luckily, I had photographed both outfits that I wore for these two special occasions earlier and I shared them on Instagram. Follow me if you don't already. I post a lot of of content on Instagram which is different from what you see here on the blog.

For the Bachelorette party we were supposed to wear LBDs paired with gold. I went against 'the rules' and wore this Sequined Gold Brocade Little Black Romper (from Macy's). I actually purchased this pretty little number specifically for a fun Bachelorette party since I attended two this Summer. I ended up pairing it with a Gorgeous Long Chain Gold-Tone Necklace with a Cute Pave Pineapple (by The Limited) and a Fun Gold Pave Flower Cocktail Ring (not pictured). You will see two pairs of Black Sandals (pictured below). For most of the night I wore the Sandals on the right which are the Bow Suede Stilettos, but towards the end of the night I wore the Black Gladiators. My hair was put up in a tall sock bun and I went for a dark, smoky eye look with dewy cheeks and a light coral-blush lipgloss. This outfit got a lot of compliments from the girls (my friends) as well as strangers. What do you think? Would you wear a Sequined Black Romper with Black Heels and a Pendant Necklace, to a Bachelorette Party?
Black V-Back, Cap-Sleeve Romper w/ Gold Sequined Brocade Pattern: Macy's (New) (similar, Steal, love this), (sexy all-black option, Fantastic Deal), (gorgeous option w/ organza sleeves, Great Deal, my Favorite), (similar in red sequin floral, Splurge, love this).
Long, Gold-Tone Chain Necklace w/ Gold Pave Pineapple Pendant: The Limited (New) (similar, Steal), (similar, on Sale), (similar, Splurge, love this).
Black Faux Leather & Elastic Flat Gladiator Sandals w/ Zipper on front: Merona via Target (New) (similar current option by Target, on Sale), (similar lace-up style by Target, Steal, love these), (similar, Great Deal, my Favorite), (similar, Splurge).
Black Faux Suede Strappy Stiletto Sandals w/ Oversized Bows on the side: Betseyville by Betsey Johnson (New) (similar, Great Deal, love these), (similar, small Splurge), (very similar, Splurge).
Now, the wedding took place in Michigan. The vows were cited in a beautiful garden in Farmington Hills and the wedding reception was about 10 minutes away. I ended up wearing a Pastel Coral Fit+Flare Dress that I thought would be great for both the wedding and reception. I love the chevron see-through organza stripes on this one and the lace inserts off the sides. The length is a perfect knee-length too and the thick scuba material makes the dress very hard to wrinkle which is good. I paired it with my Coral+Silver Statement Necklace, a couple of bangles, my wedding rings, a couple of other simple rings (one of which was in a bright coral stone - the rings aren't pictured) and some gorgeous Firework Cluster Earrings similar to these. I kept my hair down but curled it into big waves and brushed it on one side. As far as the shoes and purse: instead of high+thin heels, I opted for my Fringe Ivory Block Sandals which are still quite dressy and still comfortable for lots of dancing. I have paired these Fringe Block Sandals with my Flamingo Clutch before (and another Coral Dress) so they look nice together, plus the Flamingo Clutch added a little whimsy to this Dressed Up, Polished and Feminine Look, don't you think?!

The dress you wore to the bachelorette is fabulous Ada - the gold accents make it a very special garment.
ReplyDeleteI love weddings and all the festivities that come with it. Your romper was perfect for the bachelorette, and I love that pretty pink dress.
