Bright Shirt-Dresses for Summer Office Wear.

I love wearing dresses anytime, especially to work. There is no better time to wear dresses to work than late Spring and Summer. But most Summer Dresses are sundresses, skimpy on top or bottom or both, or just tiny little things that aren't necessarily work-appropriate. Enter the Shirt-Dress. Always a classic. Always work-appropriate. Always season-less. At summertime I love wearing a Bright Shirt-Dress as Office Wear. And last week with our warm temps I did that two days in a row. First I wore the Periwinkle Long-Sleeve Dress which was perfect for a day where the temps were between 68-75 degrees. The next day I wore my Coral+Cream Geo-Print Sleeveless Dress which kept me cool during 80+ degree weather. As you may notice, I styled each dress with Block Heeled Sandals and both pairs are very comfortable.

I wanted a dress or button-down shirt (or both) in a bird-print, for a while now. To my surprise I found this silky beauty online. A Classic, Long-Sleeve Shirt-Dress in a fun and Bright Periwinkle color with tiny polka dots and (bigger) birds? I am a fan. The best part -- this beauty was under 20 bucks. I paired it with my Gorgeous Neon Pink Tassel Necklace DIY-ed by the talented Carrie (Curly Crafty Mom). I added a couple of bangles and my Cream+Gold Kendra Scott Earrings. These Cognac Block-Heel Sandals from Naturalizer are from a few years ago but they are super stylish now. They go so well with the Bright Orange Leather Bag, don't they?

This Cream+Coral Sleeveless Shirt-Dress is in a pop-over style. I love the colors and Bold Geometric Pattern which looks like Plaid. From far, the dress looks like it is in a Fun Oversized Gingham Print, which I love. My latest set of jewelry borrowed from Rocksbox worked out perfectly: the long Dangly Cream Earrings and the Coral+Crystal Statement Necklace couldn't have matched this dress better if I tried. Neither could the New Fun Betsey Johnson Fringe Sandals and my Cream+Pink Flamingo Clutch. I also added a few Colorful Enamel Bangles as well as my Gold Cuff from Rocksbox and off I went to work. So, how did I style my Bright Shirt-Dresses? Would you wear these outfits to work? Which dress is your favorite? What pattern do you prefer more?

  8. I love both dresses! I love shirt dresses in general. I love the pattern and color of the coral one. But I especially am lusting for the blue bird print one. I am a sucker for bird prints (although real life birds frighten me!). Great dresses and great shoes!
