Same Outfit, just Change the Accessories.

Good morning! It may be middle of April but it is filled with snow, windchills and very low temps for us. These photos were from three weeks ago and as you can see we got a dust of snow then, too. Basically I wore this same outfit all day on a Saturday and just switched around a few of the accessories instead. During the day, for a grocery shop and Starbucks run I wore my new Red Laceup Flats and Red Cable-Knit Beanie, topping off the ensemble with my Red Puffer Coat. While for the evening, for a dinner out at a restaurant, I wore my new Leopard D'Orsay Pumps, a Red Velvet Newsboy Cap (which Vivian wore earlier that day for a few minutes - she loved that hat) and covered up with a warm Colorblocked Blanket Scarf. I received compliments from strangers on both outfits, especially on the evening look. I am not sure which outfit I like better, what about you? I loved how simply a few different accessories and switching from a warm puffy coat to a colorful wrap, can totally change an outfit entirely.

Who wore it better? Vivian of course. =) As I was getting ready for the evening, Vivian stole my hat and put it on herself. This newsboy cap is actually big on me too so you can imagine it is much bigger on Vivian, but she didn't mind. On our coffee table, I keep a pipe that has never been used before, as decoration. Vivian remembered the newsboy cap from a children's movie featuring a chimney cleaner boy who also wore a newsboy cap. The boy's father used to smoke a pipe, in the movie. It is crazy how Vivian remembered all of this and tried to copy parts of the movie.

  18. Ada, you look too adorable. I cannot pick which styling I like best either because they are both so different and cute. I really like that you demonstrate how different one outfit can be with different accessories. I don't think that most people really realize how accessories can extend a wardrobe, but get stuck in a rut wearing the same things together. Thank you so much for sharing with #UpsyDaisyLinkup!
