Tan Shearling Vest and Tan Ghillie Flats.
I have had a case of the Mondays today. It was the longest and most exhausting work day. That is why I am posting so late instead of doing a morning Tuesday post. But I got an awesome happy surprise around 10.00 PM and I cannot wait to share it with you all soon, so please stay tuned.
Today's outfit was actually worn yesterday, to church and lunch after. Without my new Shearling Tan Vest, this Wine Sweater Dress would have looked cute but boring. It is that vest that adds something extra to the outfit. It is all about the third completer piece. Luckily, this vest did double duty because besides fashion purposes, it was my outerwear of choice yesterday to get in and out of car. Technically it wasn't that warm but warm enough to get away with this little clothing for a very short walk. And for the first time I am wearing Ghillie Ballet Flats. I have wanted a pair or two of these lace-up shoes, otherwise known as Ghillie Flats for a few months now. The pair I fell in love with were the Red Suede ones by Topshop. I also wanted a black pair. The red ones by Topshop were sold too quickly and I didn't want to pay full price for them. But I did get a very similar gorgeous red pair and the black ones from Topshop (both on sale) and you will see those on the blog soon. I couldn't resist this Tan/Camel Faux Suede D'Orsay pair either, especially since they were under 15 bucks at Charlotte Russe. I missed out on the Nude Pointy Faux Leather pair from Old Navy. I think this pair will be great once it is full on Spring and during Summer because they are light and open on each side. Plus, these Tan Ghillie Flats match my new Tan Shearling Vest quite beautifully. And I liked the camel flats against the patterned black from the tights. What do you think? Do you own any Ghillie Flats? If so if they are in a nude color how do you style them?
These photos were taken after a big and heavy Italian lunch, so yeah that's a food baby.
Oh and indoor pictures it is today. It took me less than 5 minutes to take these photos on a busy and very windy day and I didn't have to take a gazillion pictures either. Since I take my own photos (without a tripod or a remote - need to work on getting those), a lot of times dealing with natural light or outdoor light and all the different weather conditions it is harder to get better shots outside. It is a lot easier and quicker inside, a lot of times.

I love those shoes on everyone else...have not jumped in yet. Are they easy to put on?
ReplyDeleteHi Shelly. This particular pair I have to tie tightly in order for them to stay on good but my other two pairs are easy to put on and stay on. If you tie them tightly you should be good. Get yourself a classic black pair.
DeleteLace up flats are SO cute! what a neat idea to wear them over tights!

Those lace up flats are so cute! My feet are too big for me to consider wearing pointy toes, or else I'd get some lace ups! I never would've thought to pair them with tights, they look awesome like that!
ReplyDeleteLove those shoes! I've had lace up flats in my shopping cart over and over but haven't pulled the trigger yet. That vest is so cute and really pulls the outfit together!
