Budget Babes, Spring Trends 2015 - Head-to-toe White and a Spring Link-Up!
TGIF everyone. It is the 6th and final Fridayof Spring where the Budget Babes (that would be MARIA from Not Fancy Just Life, RACHEL from Garay Treasures and I) get together for another Spring 2015 trend, styling it our way and keeping it under 75 bucks. When brainstorming ideas for which Spring Trends to feature during our 6 week special collaboration, we still weren't sure of the final one. Well, Head-to-toe White is HUGE this Spring so that is what we decided to do for this final week and looking at all three of our outfits, I think we are finishing up with a bang, don't you think? Since it is the final week, we decided to turn it into a link-up today. You can link up any of your Spring Fashions as well as White Outfits if you so prefer. The link-up will stay open for a whole week, also. =) We would love for you to join us and please link back to all 3 or one of our 3 blogs, also - it is the right and polite thing to do. Thank you.
Thanks for coming! We would love to see your spring themed looks! Please follow your hosts Ada (Bloglovin) Maria (Bloglovin) and Rachel (Bloglovin) and provide a back link of this post from one of our posts so that other can find us and to be nice. Please link up as many links with a spring theme and visit 2 or 3 other links. Thank you! We can't wait to see what you come up with.
I love how we are all in White Dresses. Technically I am faking a Dress since mine is a Top and a Skirt. Rachel's and Maria's, Sleeveless Dresses are both Girly-Pretty in that eyelet/crochet material which is best for late Spring and Summer. They both wore White Necklaces also and my Necklace is mostly white. Maria's Flower Sandals match the Flower on her long Pearly Necklace perfectly, while Rachel's Nude/Beige Sandals are the same color as mine and both of our Sandals have Cute Bows, also. I swear none of these outfits were planned lol.
This is the first Real Outfit I wore after many days spent at the hospital. I wore this on Wednesday May 20th for teaching and for most of the rest of the day, also. I felt pretty, feminine, elegant and polished in my Head-to-toe White Look. I think the perfect way to do a head-to-toe white outfit is to go for all-white, including your shoes or you can keep your shoes and/or accessories either nude, beige or gold, which is what I did here. We might as well say also that this outfit is brought to you by White House Black Market since most of my main pieces are from there and let me tell you that is an expensive store, but I always buy things on clearance and use coupons too which, brings down the prices, a lot. I will break down the prices for you below and today I also want to show you the original prices of each item, too. Anyway, I love how I faked a White Dress with my Crisp White Pencil Skirt and Off-White/Ecru Embellished Tee. Adding the Gold Wrap-style Belt made the Outfit look like a Dress even easier. I am in love with these belts by The Limited, by the way. They still carry them in different colors, materials, textures and sometimes even patterns. Go get yourself a couple! I ended up loving my New-Created White Dress.
OK, so here is the breakdown for each piece. The Skirt was $21 (originally $88+tax), the Tee was $15.50 (originally $48+tax), the Necklace was $15 (originally $44+tax) - all these three pieces are by White House Black Market, by the way. Then the Sandals were $14 (not sure of their original price), the OBI Gold Belt was around $10 (originally $30+tax) and the Earrings were a Gift to me for my Birthday this year. This Outfit came at exactly $75 today (maybe 50 cents over, but let's round it to an even $75.00). But originally it would have costed me over 224 dollars (+tax). That is a 67% savings if I am doing my math correctly, lol. What do you think? What are some smart ways you shop to get the prices way lower than what they originally are? I want to know in your comments.
